Růžová, Karolina ; Klenková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Zemková, Jaroslava (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is communication in adult clients with autism and its systematic support. The text itself consists of two main parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is further divided into four chapters which deal with the basic concepts of autism spectrum disorders and communication. In these chapters, autism spectrum disorders are analysed from the viewpoint of historical development, etiology, classification and symptomatology with regard to the manifestation of ASD in adulthood. The chapters which deal with the topic of communication first define communication as such and the important terms associated with it, and then describe the specific abnormalities that may occur in the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder. They also provide support options that can be used to communicate with people with ASD. The practical part is then conceived as a qualitative research whose main aim is to describe the communication of people with autism spectrum disorder, to show its specifics and to describe the intervention that was introduced in five individual subjects. In accordance with the main objective, partial objectives and research questions were set. The research part describes the environment in which the research took place and provides five case...
Care about lower limbs in adulthood and in old age.
VOJČOVÁ, Lucie
Introduction: Lower limbs are ones of the most strained body parts to which people do not pay much attention. Conscientious care is absolutely vital for their right functioning. Main aims of the thesis: This thesis is focused on gathering the knowledge and skills in care of lower limbs with people at their adult and old age; and on describing how the care is being performed with the target group of people. The next aim is to describe the health care from the podiatry nurse´s point of view. Methodology: A qualitative research by means of half-structured interviews was chosen as the main method of the survey. People at their adult and old age from České Budějovice were interviewed, as well as a nurse working in the centre of podiatry. Results of the thesis: The research proves some level of knowledge in the field of care of lower limbs both with the adult and elderly citizens. Both these groups of people take care of their lower limbs. The results show conscientiousness with washing their feet and drying them especially in the spaces between their toes. On the one hand, the interviewed people take care of their feet by means of using lotions and by means of pedicure. However, they do not go to see specialists in pedicure. On the other hand, the results show that this kind of skin care is not very regular. The care devoted to nails seems to be problematic, it is necessary to add some information about a more appropriate way of cutting them. The results of choosing shoes; when the choice is based mainly on a fashionable look of shoes; show a bigger need of repeated and more accurate education in this field. The impacts of improperly chosen shoes, irregular care of the lower limbs and also underestimating of prophylactic medical checks were all evident on our informants´ feet. The outputs gained in practice: The intermediate results of this thesis were presented at the Students Scientific Conference. The results of the research were used as the basis for a workshop intended for people at the adult and old age. A suggested educational mental map can be used as a practical tool.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the idiopathic scoliosis of adults. The idiopathic scoliosis is a three-dimensional spinal deformity, which is characterized by a change of position of the vertebra. The etiology of this change is unknown. The condition often arises in childhood and remains in existence till adulthood. The idiopathic scoliosis is not getting worse in adults. However, it causes divergent complications and limitations in daily life. The adult patients often have backache so it is important to not forget about the physiotherapy that can positively influence the progression of the spine. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. Firstly, I describe some anatomical terms, after about like the scoliosis and its division. Then I characterize the term idiopathic scoliosis, its diagnostics, examinations and the therapy, which includes special concepts dealing with this diagnosis. After that, I define the characteristics of the idiopathic scoliosis in adults. In the practical part, there is a research that describes a case history of three patients suffering with the idiopathic scoliosis. Each case history contains information about the anamnesis, a kinesiological examination and characterization of therapies, which were applying for 2 months. The goal of the thesis is to represent ways of physiotherapy applied on adults suffering with the idiopathic scoliosis and to highlight the limitations in their everyday life. I also suggest an exercise focusing on the consequences of adults affected by the disease. The physiotherapists can use this thesis in practice, and it gives information for patients about the condition and its treatment.

The difference in leisure time activities among the adult people with ADHD
URBAN, Michal
The aim of the thesis is to analyse and compare the free time activities of people with ADHD and people without ADHD, as well as analysing manifestations related to the topic. The theoretical section of my thesis is dedicated to the causes of ADHD, as well as its manifestations. The idea of free time is also explained. In the practical part of my thesis, I interviewed five respondents with ADHD and five respondents without ADHD;these interviews were evaluated. The final results were formulated based on the differences between the answers of interviewed respondents and on the theoretical thinking. The thesis points out the fact, that individuals with ADHD have problems managing their free time, they tend to change their free time activities at random and sport seems like a wasted energy to them.
