Evaluation of Target Shooting by Computer Vision
Automated measurements of body temperature against COVID-19
Roman, Matej ; Lázna, Tomáš (referee) ; Chromý, Adam (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the development of an open source software capable of automatic face detection in an image captured by a thermal camera, followed by a temperature measuring. This software is supposed to aid in the COVID-19 pandemics. The developed software is independent of used thermal camera. In this thesis, I am using TIM400 thermal camera. The implementation of the face detection was achieved by an OpenCV module. The methods tested were Template Matching, Eigen Faces, and Cascade Classifier. The last-mentioned had the best results, hence was used in the final version of the software. Cascade Classifier is looking for the eyes and their surrounding area in the image, allowing the software to subsequently measure the temperature on the surface of one's forehead. One can therefore be wearing a face mask or a respirator safely. The temperature measuring works in real time and the software is able to capture several people at once. It then keeps a record of the temperature of each measured individual as well as the time of the measurement. The software as a whole is a part of an installation file compatible with the Windows operating system. The functionality of this software was tested – the video recordings are included in this thesis.
Calibration of Robotic Workspace
Uhlíř, Jan ; Veľas, Martin (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This work is concerned by the issue of calibrating a robotic workplace, including the localization of a calibration object for the purpose of calibrating a 2D or 3D camera, a robotic arm and a scene of robotic workplace. At first, the problems related to the calibration of the aforementioned elements were studied. Further, an analysis of suitable methods for performing these calibrations was performed. The result of this work is application of ROS robotic system providing methods for three different types of calibration programs, whose functionality is experimentally verified at the end of this work.
Re-Identification of Vehicles by License Plate Recognition
Špaňhel, Jakub ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis aims at proposing vehicle license plate detection and recognition algorithms, suitable for vehicle re-identification. Simple urban traffic analysis system is also proposed. Multiple stages of this system was developed and tested. Specifically - vehicle detection, license plate detection and recognition. Vehicle detection is based on background substraction method, which results in an average hit rate of ~92%. License plate detection is done by cascade classifiers and achieves an average hit rate of 81.92% and precision rate of 94.42%. License plate recognition based on Template matching results in an average precission rate of 60.55%. Therefore the new license plate recognition method based on license plate scanning using the sliding window principle and neural network recognition was introduced. Neural network achieves a precision rate of 64.47% for five input features. Low precision rate of neural network is caused by small amount of training sample for some specific license plate characters.
User Hand Detection in Depth Data
Malík, Pavol ; Šimon, Martin (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to detect hand of user above the interactive table and show its position with respect to the table. Used sensor was Kinect so the depth data approach was selected. The detection is realized using registration method SAC-IA, which works on the template matching principle. Thesis deals with existing solutions of hand detection as well as procedure used in this work. Dataset was defined, containing hand templates and testing scenes, from which the classifier was evaluated. Final testing was performed on more than a hundred objects and the success rate reached 82 %.
LPR Recognition
Trkal, Ondřej ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The thesis deals with analysis and design of system for automatic localization and recognition of the license plate. The input images are from different sources, and contain large scenic and weather variations. The aim was to create a system able to find the licence plate on the image and recognize its alphanumeric figure. In this work, there is a focus on analysis and implementation of localization and optical character recognition methods. One own and four other localization methods are compared. There are also compared three classifiers for optical character recognition. Localization and OCR methods are tested on real data and evaluated in accordance with the calculated evaluation parameters. The work also contains sensitivity analysis of the proposed system.
Tracking of Military Objects in a Videosignal
Hamada, Ondřej ; Váňa, Jan (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
First part of this thesis briefly describes the main problems of object tracking in video and methods to deal with them. Main attention is paid towards usage of these methods for target tracking in videos taken by both normal and thermal camera. It propose solution to this problem based on the kernel-based method which uses mean-shift algorhitm and on the template matching. Both tracking methods results are supervised and corrected by Kalman filter. Proposed solution is implemented using C++ with OpenCV library.
Search of Corresponding Objects in a Pair of Images
Vrbenský, Andrej ; Herman, David (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis is aimed on area of stereoscopy. At first, there is  some space dedicated to stereoscopic theory, primarily to seaching of corresponding objects in a stereo image pair. Main attention is given to template matching methods, which are based on intesity comparison. Then we try to optimize these methods with SIMD SSE instructions and run some tests with image examples. These methods are implemented in C++ and also in assembly language.
Pattern Matching in Digital Images
Šramko, Samuel ; Mráček, Štěpán (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This work deals with pattern matching in digital images. It describes theoretical presumptions for matching using template matching and SURF algorithms and their following use in solving correspondence problem. Work also describes design, implementation and testing phase of application, which uses aforesaid algorithms written in C++ language with OpenCV and Qt libraries. At the end this thesis describes format of tests and summarize obtained results.
iPhone Application for Number Plate Recognition
Sládeček, Roman ; Dvořák, Radim (referee) ; Procházka, Boris (advisor)
This thesis talks about theoretical and practical side of development of application for Apple iPhone mobile cell phone and for its operating system called iOS. In theoretical part are contained informations about history of this device, about tools for creating application for this mobile platform and there is shortly sketched procedure and process how the application is deployed into the phone. Next part deals with the licence number plates, their signification and integrity restrictions. Main core of whole thesis is a practical part about creation and implementation mobile application for recognition of that number plates with supporting of built-in camera and its consecutive text representation or manipulation with that data. In the final part there is a review of results which this application brings after testing and experimenting in different conditions.
