The selected methods of social work with clients self - non sufficient in health care facilities

The main goal of the thesis entitled "The selected methods of social work with clients self-non sufficient in health care facilities" was to describe and to analyze methods used in activation of the elderly suffering from dementia. It draws a comparison of different settings and explores workers's attitude to the methods of activation. The text of the thesis was mapped out into five chapters. The first chapter was set into the context of old age and ageing. The second chapter is concerned with the issues of self-sufficiency and dependency of old age and other related issues. The topic of the third chapter is old age in relation with memory. It defines memory and memory disorders in the elderly suffering from dementia. The fourth chapter is crucial and gives an idea of non-pharmacological and other possible activities which are eligible for application in practice and are intended to reduce cognitive disorders of cognitive functions and behavior disorders. The theoretical part enters into research carried out in four facilities which care for clients with dementia. Social work for an endangered child

8 Abstract In my thesis, I study the topic of social work with an endangered child. I was trying to bring up the subject of those children who find themselves in a dangerous situation for them and also how situations can be handled. I describe what constitutes an endangered child and what groups they divide into. I also deal with the issue of abused children and also with the CAN syndrome, which is very important for me. I also mention here the disruption of the attachement, which is not so often taken into account by us and it is important for me to talk about it and know about it. A big chapter in my thesis is the subject of the Child at Risk System, which contains facilities for children requiring immediate assistance, child welfare facilities, specialist counselling facilities, social educational activities, facilities for children in need of immediate assistance, as well as education camps for children. I list the services that are provided to children and families at risk. At the end of the theoretical section, I focus more closely on the topic of family surrogacy and institutional care, which I have chosen to process the practical part. Research of customer satisfaction in comunity housing services and social services

Key words mental disability, social work services, social care, transformation, basic human needs, case study, interview Abstract The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to compare the types of social residential services, to find out where and under what conditions the basic human needs of clients with mental disabilities are met. In the first chapter, it was crucial to define the concept of mental disability, how mental disability is diagnosed and what basic human needs people with mental disabilities have. It was also important to state which social services clients with mental disabilities use or can use and how is the quality of these services determined. Furthermore, the definition of the care allowance and social benefits of material need and under what conditions the client is entitled to them. In the third and last chapter of the theoretical part, it was necessary to define the concept of transformation of social services and its obstacles. In the fourth chapter it was necessary to determine the importance of the methods used for this thesis. Subsequently, a presentation of the organizations where the survey took place. This was followed by non-structured interviews with two employees of designated social services and a case report of four clients of social services.

Retirement home in Rozsochatec 1952-1956

This diploma thesis is a microhistorical case study into the field of regional history. It examines the work of the state institutional social care facility - Retirement home in the village Rozsochatec, where the nursing staff cared for the elderly and non-independent people. The staff consisted of nuns of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and several laical helpers between 1952 and 1956. Moreover, the daily life was shaped by the presence of the Roman Catholic priest, as well as by the constant supervision of the district church secretary. The main purpose of this work is an insight into the everydayness of this specific social facility - medical and nursing care, supplying, meals, hygiene, home cleaning and, last but not least, leisure time, spiritual and political life inside the Retirement home are explored. In addition, the work deals with individual actors (social groups) and the chateau building in the village Rozsochatec, in which the social care institution was located. It describes the relationship of the socialist state to the nuns after 1948 and portray one small religious community. In the literature overview there is mentioned analysis focused on product portfolio and the company in gen-eral. The own work introduces the ABC company and its surrounding area. That’s followed by analysis and models which evaluate actual competitive position of the company on the market and perspectivity of the product portfolio build. Main goal of this thesis is to create the most suitable design for the product portfolio which would increase the effectivity and financial stability of the company based on the results of the analysis and models.

Diploma thesis theme Development of social services in the selected rural microregion takes care of social services (healthcare, education and social care) in the countryside. In particular, thesis examines the surroundings of Rosice u Brna. Theoretical part and literary research describe basic social concepts. The thesis describes types of social services. One part is also focused on an extraordinarily detailed description of social services for seniors. This follows up the chapter of causes and impacts of population aging on society. A part of the work maps possibilities of the financing social services. Also, modes of transport because the high-quality transport disponibility of social services is important for the development of the region. Demographic analysis of the individual municipalities was performed in the practical part. The existing social services in individual areas and municipalities were identified. The research has shown that the capacities of some facilities are inadequate.

The decision - making of families caring for a senior member focusing on the services provided

The bachelor's thesis deals with the decision-making of families caring for a family member in a senior age focused on the services provided. In my work, I have centred my attention to the problem of demographic aging and the problems of seniors, which are the most common today. Today's demographic trends raise the need to redefine old age and professional care for the elderly. I also analyzed the possibilities of professional help that a senior and his loved ones can use in difficult situations related to the old age. One of the goals of my work is to define demographic aging and estimate its growth in the future. I also analyzed the best forms of social care for the elderly and their possible pitfalls. I have been interested in current statistics on the demand for these services and the extent to which demand is being met. Above all, I have tried to find the best options for families who cannot take care of their senior relative effectively enough and options that would best suit seniors who refuse to move into a nursing home. The private retirement homes in the system of social care in the Czech Republic.

The diploma thesis is focused on the ambiguous position of private retirement homes in terms of view of legislative anchoring, public funding, management, operation and quality standards. It also identifies problematic areas of private retirement homes, which is not well described phenomenon in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the concept of Public Private Partnership. The factual background develops in detail the situation of private retirement homes in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the legislative conditions are set to Czech private retirement home's financing, establishing and management. Another aim is to find out the differences between public and private retirement homes and to identify potential problem areas.
