OSPOD cooperation with institution for protective care

The basis of the theoretical part is the conceptualization of terms that stem from the main research question. That includes an explanation of the fundamental points of the socio-legal protection of children, protective education, facilities for institutional and protective education. For the empirical part a qualitative strategy of research was chosen, interview method. The respondents included employees of the department of socio-legal protection of children. Based on the results of the research, the thesis describes functioning of the cooperation of both organizations.
Value Orientation and Life Plans of Children and Youth with Behaviour Disorders

This thesis deals with the value orientation and life plans of children and adolescents who are placed into young offenders' institutions because of their behavioural disorders. The theoretical part elucidates basic conceptions related to values and value orientations. It applies to individual development, family issues and education, behavioural disorders and refers to the difficulty of education and re-education in school facilities for the practice of institutional and protective education. The empirical part is a combination of a quantitative and a qualitative research. The questionnaire survey was used to determine the value orientation, life goals, preferred leisure activities, some attitudes and information about clients from the young offenders' institutions. The questionnaires were handed over to respondents from the six children's homes with school and young offenders' institutions. The established values hierarchy and life goals were compared with the results of a similar research. The unstructured interviews with children ending the compulsory education were mainly focused on the choice of study and career orientation. TITLE: Transformation of the substitutional family custody in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Tamara Müllerová DEPARTMENT: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on a current changes in legislation in the department of constitutional care. The beginning of the thesis describes a concept of family, its significance, commission and position in contemporary society along with motives leading to its disfunction and defects directly related to childs needs. Following chapter outlines present forms of a constitutional and a protective custody in the Czech Republic, also includes a comparation of substitutional family custody and substitutional pedagogic care with detailed narration of both. The next part of the thesis presents the main insufficiencies of said system of constitutional care, and reasons which led the Government of the Czech Republic to transform their approach based primarily on the critique from abroad. Ensuing chapter informs of the transformation of the system of constitutional care and its amendments already accepted and supported by several ministries, an entrusting experts and deputies of NGOs (nongovernmental organizations). This thesis is focused on the educational measures imposed on children and juveniles with behavioral disorders. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge of social norms in society, psychosocial child development and behavioral disorders. There are also presented the possibilities of the social pedagogical work with children and juveniles with behavioral disorders and the educational measures imposed on children and juveniles with behavioral disorders. The practical part is based on qualitative research. The research is focused on the evaluation of the educational measures effects on concrete juveniles. This bachelor thesis deals with institutional and protective education in school facilities with accentuation in children diagnostic institute. The legislative changes related to these facilities, i.e. the amendments to the Act No. 109/2002 Coll. on execution of institutional or protective education in school facilities and on preventive educational care in school facilities and on amendment to other Acts, as amended, in connection eighth the adoption of the New Civil Code (Act. No. 89/2012 Coll. are the main theme. This thesis describes a history of institutional education, legislative foundations and basic structure of the institutional and protective education in the Czech republic. The aim of this thesis is to map all the consequences of changes that have occurred or will soon occur due to the amended Acts. A questionnaire survey in which the employees of facilities for execution of institutional and protective education responded to questions related to this topic is included in this thesis.
Activity of officers in charge of youth in risk with children in facilities for institutional and protective education

This thesis aims to analyze the activity of officers in charge of youth in risk with children, which for various reasons were given into the care facility for institutional or protective care. The thesis closely specifies the officers in charge of youth in risk in the social and legal protection of children and the clientele to which its activities are focused. In the third chapter are described steps that may be of interest to protect the rights and interests of the child adopted. The following three chapters are devoted to institute of institutional and protective care - reasons which may be resorted to these measures, what competences and duties belong to the officers in charge of youth in risk and how are the termination or withdrawal of the measure. A separate chapter is devoted to the theme of family preservation, as a process that supports the functioning of the family. In some cases is demonstrated what specific procedures officers in charge of youth in risk in Usti nad Labem in solving educational problems of children benefiting.
Contact Separation,an Experimental Form of Institutional Social Care

This thesis is entitled "Contact Separation, an Experimental Form of Institutional Social Care." The aim of this thesis is to provide a deeper insight into institutional care and to introduce an innovative approach as a possible form of social care in relation to institutions dedicated to institutional social care. The thesis is divided into two sections - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the concept of institutional social care in the Czech Republic and represents a system of practices in a particular youth educational institute in Prague 9. The practical part is designed as a qualitative research investigation, on basis of which I am trying to answer the question whether this innovative form of care benefits the children that are on the run for a long time. In the thesis conclusion I am examining the results of the investigation and their use in present-day practice. Outdoor activities in children's homes and institutes

Title: Outdoor activities in institutional care Aim of the thesis: The aim of this work is to chart oudoor activites in institutional care in Liberec region. As well as to determine the types of outdoor activites and the time spent by doing these activities in nature. Methodology of research: I used the questionnaire method for this reasearch. Respondents were given questionnaires with open and closed questions concerning the topic. The data were processed quantitatively and were set out into pie charts. Results: In the questionnaire, I found out that educators believe that outdoor activities are suitable for children from institutional care. They are not only a good tool for making new contacts, but especially as a tool for increasing children's responsibility and self-knowledge. Most of the outdoor activities are used in the form of games or walks in nature. Activities that are least accessible are climbing and swimming. Top children's activity is playing on the computer and walks with friends. Playing games and collecting wild fruits are the most enjoyable outdoor activities for children. Outdoor activities bring mainly joy, fun and new experience to children. They think that they will get to know better their friends and strengthen the confidence among them during outdoor activities.
