Ombudsman in Relation with Human Rights Organizations

Diploma thesis is concerning about cooperation between human rights, non-profit, non- governmental organizations and the Ombudsman. Area of service and competence of the Ombudsman in recent years has significantly widened, which could be interesting and useful for the civil sector, and that it is primarily for the mentioned non-governmental organizations. The aim is to determine whether there is between these actors cooperation or not, optionally in which areas. Thesis is based on the theory of division of power, and assumes that the actors will be willingness to cooperate. Whether this actually works, was investigated by means of mixed research, starting from the survey between human rights organizations, and consequently more views on cooperation were gathered from interviews. The outcome of this thesis is to find in what specific areas cooperation proceeds, why cooperation does not appear and where they could find points of contact of cooperation.
Intergenerational programs in the practice of educational institutions

The thesis is focused on the possibilities in the management of the intergenerational programmes. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the issue of intergenerational learning from the point of view of the management of educational institutions and to create a proposal of methodology for intergenerational programs management. The first part discusses the management in general, educational management and the characterization and classification of educational institutions and the scope of non-profit organizations. It also deals with lifelong learning and defines intergenerational learning as one of its forms. It deals with the categorization of intergenerational learning and the definition of its linkage in formal, non-formal and informal learning. The work defines the concept of age management, describes its implementation in practice and focuses on the topic of intergenerational programs, their specification, categorization and definition of their benefits and risks. The second part is focused on the content analysis of strategic and curricular documents in the Czech Republic and abroad and analyses the possibilities of cooperation of educational institutions in intergenerational programs in the Czech Republic and foreign countries. Regional Distribution of Development Aid in Cambodia

Regional distribution of development aid in Cambodia Abstract This bachelor thesis, examines development aid distribution in Cambodia, specifically focused on the distribution and allocation of development projects that target reproductive health and education. Within the introduction, the history and current situation in Cambodia is presented, followed by a discussion of current approaches to development aid. The reproductive health and education issues will also be examined as well as the continuing discourse of development aid allocation. The research analyses the relationship between development interventions and reproductive health or education indicators on provincial level. The main outcome in Cambodia's development aid only highlights the distribution of aid with regard to the level of development in several cases; allocation of aid is mostly influenced by other factors rather than recipient need. Comparative analyses of immigration and integration policies in Czech Republic and Slovak Republic and a profile of non-governmental organizations working in this field

Topic of immigration and integration of foreigners to the majority has become more relevant in last few years in Czech and Slovak public. This essay deals with migration and integration on the level of government policies, introduces basic documents and conceptions, which were accepted in those states and the role of ministries and regions. Consequently, situation in both states is compared. In the second part of the essay, non-governmental organization and their role in the field of migration and integration are introduced and chosen aspects of three pairs of NGOs are compared with the effort to put them into the broader context. This diploma thesis "Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) as a Stakeholders of the Integration Policy in Relation to the Foreigners" discsusses the Czech integration policy and the role of these organizations in the process of formation and implementation of this policy. It provides basic insight into the integration policy and process of its making, focuses on the role of individual stakeholders in this process, examines the relationships between the concerned stakeholders and focuses on problem areas connected with the theme of this thesis. This thesis is based both on information obtained from available sources (legislation, strategies, researches, etc.) and the views and opinions of representatives of the nonprofit sector and employees of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic, which were formed on the grounds of their experience. The process of integration of foreigners is closely related to the phenomenon of migration, which has been an integral part of the life of all societies in different periods of time. Employment of people with schizophrenia

This bachelor thesis deals with employing people with the schizophrenia and its benefits to them. Topic: Employment of people with schizophrenia The theoretical part of the work describes schizophrenia, the stigma and prejudice associated with this disease and the importance of employment to people with mental illness; it also examines rehabilitation employment, especially supported employment, and mentions also a non-profit organization that helps people with schizophrenia to prepare and search for the employment. For my research, I used a qualitative strategy - semistructured interviews with the recipients of supported and temporary employment. Based on the analysis of these interviews, I try to answer questions about the importance of employment to people with schizophrenia disease. The aim of my bachelor thesis is to answer the research question: How important is to involve people with schizophrenia in daily life, especially by finding a suitable job.
Nonprofit sector and its Potential for Regional Development through Local action groups

The aim of the thesis is an analysis of the non-profit sector and its potential for regional development through the local action groups which is the Chance in Nature acting on the territory of South Bohemia. It is an evaluation of the 2007-2013 programming period. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to NGOs, social capital, partnership and regional development. The empirical part describes a region of the Local Action Group (LAG) and its functioning, further was examined the involvement of NGOs in the activities of the local action group considering a cooperation, partnership, submitting project applications and overall involvement in the activities of the LAG. Data were obtained by document analysis, interview surveys, and semi-structured interviews. NGO activity has been explored from the manager and LAG members' perspective and NGOs themselves.
The evolution of the informal education in the Czech Republic since 1989 up to the present days, and its situation today

The aim of this paper is to describe a topic which is difficult to define, i. e. the evolution of the informal education in the Czech Republic since 1989 up to the present days, and its present situation. The paper concentrates on the organizations working with children and youth and tries to identify the important moments of the evolution of the informal education and the aspects in which this type of education may be irreplaceable. The theoretical part of the paper deals with the evolution of the citizen society, the change of the position of people in its framework and the influence of the education and leisure time on the personality of present people. The quantitative, empirical part of the paper presents the results of a survey via questionnaires among organizations working with children and youth in the region of central Bohemia. Activities of the State and NGOs in the Field of Labour Migration at the Time of Economic Depression

This MA thesis deals with the actual situation of economic migration in the Czech Republic, the state institutions and non-profit organizations which operate in the field of labour migration and the interrelationship between non-profit organizations and state institutions. The aim of this thesis is to uncover how the global economic recession has influenced activities of state institutions and non-profit organizations which operate in this area. This thesis uses combination of qualitative methods of research.
