Průchová, Michaela ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Procházková Ilinitchi, Cristina (referee)
The thesis is focused on the issue of youth unemployment in the European Union, with the greatest emphasis on the Czech Republic. The main objective of my thesis is to evaluate and recommend suitable practices that would contribute to cut down the youth unemployment rate in the Czech Republic. The most important methods I used in my thesis are scientific description and induction. I have also used a lot of statistical data that is tied to both the Czech and the European labour market. The bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters, the first of which is devoted to the introduction of the issue and specifics of the groups of people endangered with unemployment. The second chapter deals with the unemployment of young people in the European Union, the causes and effects of unemployment and development in the Member States. The last chapter focuses primarily on the unemployment among young people in the Czech Republic, its development and practices against unemployment. In conclusion, I evaluate that the practices implemented by both the European Union and the Czech Republic have a positive impact on the situation of young people on the labour market in the Czech Republic. However, it is not possible to say with certainty which practices are the most beneficial, since it also depends on external influences and the overall state of the economy. Overall, however, I have evaluated as beneficial those practices that contribute to the development of young people personalities, skills and their potentials. This can be achieved mainly through training courses, counselling, and providing of internships and professional practices. As a recommendation to the future, I am suggesting to keep deepening the current efforts to support groups of people who are disadvantaged on the labour market, while focusing particularly on education, work experience and skills improvement.

Wagnerová, Hana ; Hubinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Surynek, Alois (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of modern communication and social networks an their impact on young people in the labor market. In the theoretical part of the thesis, these networks are characterized, defined by their representatives and I speak here about possibilities of their use by young applicants, personnel and employers and also about the risks associated with their use. The theoretical knowledge is used as the background for the practical part of the thesis. In order to identify the attitude towards the networks and the most common purpose of use, I have set 2 hypotheses for my research project. I used the questionnaire method to find out the attitude of young users of modern communication and social networks towards these networks. In the primary analysis the questionnaire is evaluated, the secondary analysis describes results of the related professional researches simmilar to this topic and also contains the comparison of the data from both parts and then there is confirmation or refutation of the selected hypotheses. At the end of the thesis the knowledge from the theoretical and practical part is summarized and the individual conclusions are described.

Unemployed young people as a target population in public policy
Stanzel, Jiří ; Kotrusová, Miriam (advisor) ; Nekola, Martin (referee)
Unemployed young people as a target population in public policy Abstract Due to recent economic crisis young people up to age of 25 became one of the most endangered groups on the labour market. Disadvantaged position of young people is caused largely by inadequate structure of their qualification, lack of work experiences and work skills or unreal perception of work conditions. According to their position on labour market experts also emphasize negative effects of long-term unemployment on youth including not creating of work habits, loss of motivation to find a job and growing passivity. Unemployed young people became an important target group of public policy. The thesis works with the theory of social construction of target populations to explain policy process towards unemployed youth. It identifies existing social constructions of unemployed young people from perspective of key actors of unemployment policy. It also tries to explain how these constructions affect unemployment policy towards young people and what other factors have influence on its shape.
