The Use of Digital Technologies in Seniors' Leisure Time

This bachelor thesis describes how digitization is reflected in seniors' leisure activities and how it has changed in connection with the Covid Sars 19 pandemic. It is a theoretical work dealing with aging and old age as well as the changes and needs associated with this natural process. It also describes free time and leisure activities of seniors, and in the last part it focuses on digital technologies in free time and during the pandemic, specifically robots as social companions, and the phenomenon of virtual reality.
Using "Ozobot" in the kindergarten

The diploma thesis examines options of using the ozobot robotic toy for education in kindergarten. The theoretical part is based on introduction of key concepts and review of existing knowledge about digital education with aims on early childhood education and care. In addition to the legislative framework and expert findings on digital technologies in preschool age, the risks associated with their use are also taken into account. Furthermore, the theoretical part includes findings about educational robotics and a description of the basic parameters of the ozobot toy, which is the focus of the research. The possibilities of using an ozobot in kindergarten are examined in the form of a case study that focuses on two levels of this issue, firstly on the features and functions of the ozobot, and secondly on how children perceive the ozobot and how they approach it with the aim of identifying possible obstacles, that may arise in kindergartens when working with the ozobot, offer the created thematic blocks for use and provide useful methodological guidelines and recommendations for them. Multimedia Language Labs in Foreign Language Education

The dissertation deals with the issue of multimedia language labs in foreign language teaching. The research study is based on the assumption that the lab helps to practice the development of students' oral expression and how the use of the lab is connected to autonomous learning, self- assessment and multilingualism. The work examines under what conditions the SmartClass Robotel lab can be used in the teaching of the German language at a secondary school. Sixty- nine high school students took part in the research conducted in the form of a case study between December 2021 and February 2022. Data from the input and output records of the oral speech recordings of individual students have been used as the main source of the research. Each recording was evaluated by the student himself, his classmate and the teacher. The assessment focused on content and oral expression, lexical, grammatical and phonological competence. The evaluation also included an assessment of the quality and identification of the speech's weaknesses. The results show that, under certain conditions, teaching in a language lab can make it easier for teachers to implement conversational activities and allow students to work at their own pace and choose the order of activities. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is a comparison of using digital technologies in classrooms of mainstream kindergarten with classrooms of special kindergarten. The next aim is to detect reasons for non-using digital technologies in kindergartens. The theoretical part is about definitions relating to digital technologies, options of pre-school education in the Czech Republic, anchoring of digital education in legislative documents and options of teachers´ education in the digital technology area. Last but not least there are described digital technologies contained in the survey. (Practical part of bachelor´s thesis was processed by a form of quality research, which was realized by respondent survey.) In the practical part there are described aims, hypotheses, methodology of the thesis, survey creation and characteristic of survey sample. By graphs and tables there are described results surveys and verified hypotheses.
Digital divides in aspect of gender

This diploma thesis Digital gender gap deals with the issue of the digital divide in connection with one of the aspect that can affect it. The thesis outlines the concept of the digital divide as a problem of modern globalized society and presents the basic theories for understanding the issue. The digital divide is related to several social factors that are outlined in this work, but the main focus is on the gender aspect. Even in the modern world, it is not possible to completely close the gap in this context just yet. Thus, the characteristics of the problem in connection with the gender factor are outlined. Today, rather than the problem of the primary digital divide, it is the problem of unequal skills and the way in which information and communication technologies are used in our society is being talked about. After defining the basic concepts and this phenomenon, the work presents several foreign studies to create a comprehensive overview of the issue and also data from the Český statistický úřad are presented. The aim of this thesis is to analyze strategic and other documents and data that are focused on distance learning in primary schools. The aim is also to describe how distance teaching took place in primary schools using digital technologies and to point out its specifics, including positives and negatives. The diploma thesis in the theoretical level gives attention to the appropriate use of information technology in educating preschool children who are educated in hospitals or kindergartens at hospitals. Furthermore, the work focuses on the health issues, the impact of the disease on the child's psyche and the effects of hospitalization and long-term stay of the child in the hospital on his current life.
