This work deals with irony in popular television genre, entertaining talk show. The first partdefines the basic concepts which we work with (public communication, cooperative principle, politeness, irony). In the second part there is characterized the media dialogue, specifically talk show. The third part deals with particular public television's talk show - Všechnopárty. This thesis examines, on selected examples, how irony works in the show, how it manifests itself and how it is used by participants in talk show. The main finding is that irony in Všechnopárty is used as a communication game, mostly as a specific variant of irony called teasing (banter). It is a communication acting describable as pretended threatening of face of communication partner or of your own face, resp. communication which intentionally and transparently for the viewer violates Leech's courtesy maxima (most often tactfulness and modesty maxima).Teasing irony in Všechnopárty is used as a fun element increasing attractiveness of the show for spectators and participants of the talk show are usually knowingly involved in it. Curiosities in access radiological assistants to examination senior
KÁPLOVÁ, Kateřina
In the Czech Republic there is increasing the number of seniors so it can be assumed that in the future this will also increase the amount of radio diagnostic examination of seniors. By the time, when a person becomes the senior, he or she suffers from various ailments and quite often seeks professional help. An old person is very sensitive to dealing with him or her and because of that the aim of my thesis was to define how should the radiologist asistant behave to senior citizens. Today's population of people is facilitated and modern. But we must realize that those who are slower are living with us and for them it is harder to coordinate their movements and slow thinking. The theoretical work is concerned with the concepts of age and aging. An old man goes through various changes in old age. Seniors psychological, physical and emotional aspects are changing. It is important for the senior to overcome these changes and adapt for them. These changes are the main concern of gerontology. It is the science of aging, overall social relations in society to seniors and of course with a man of an advanced age as an individual with his individual needs and problems. Also this field deals mainly with the peculiarities of diseases in old age. Another issue is the most common diseases that affect seniors. A furthermore it deals with the communication and behaviour towards the elderly. In the practical part, I wanted to find out whether the communication between a senior and a clinician is at a good level, then whether they are informed by their doctor on what tests are going to and if not so, at least if the technician tells them what part of a body is he or she going to shoot. The result implies that 60% of seniors think they have a good experience with access to a radiology assistant, but not to good with the transmission of information. About 58% of seniors not get information from the sending physician and the technician not. There needs to be a change of both the doctor and the assistant

ČÁP, Jakub
The thesis is entitled: Communications between paramedics and aggressive patients in prehospital care. The theoretical part thoroughly deals with the characteristics of a paramedic and patient as well as elaborating a definition of communication with subsequent divisions into communication structures, functions and forms. The topic is further developer and the issue of communication between aggresive patients and paramedics is introduced is the theoretical part. Subsequently, this chapter describes aggresion, its types, causes and solutions on the part of paramedics. Two objetives are defined in the theoretical part. The first objective maps out the procedures paramedics use when handling and aggressive patient before hospital admission. The second objective reveals the problems paramedics encounter when communicating with an aggressive patient. Three research questions were established to the above objetives: 1. Which method do paramedics use when dealing with an aggressive patient during their first contact at the scene of incident? 2. What communication techniques are used by paramedics when communicating with an aggressive patient? 3. Which problems do paramedics encounter in communicating with an aggressive patient? A qualitative research approach was used when elaborating the research part. Data was gathered in the formo of semi-structured interviews conducted using 14 questions. The target group consisted of 10 paramedics from South Bohemia. The results revealed that the paramedics are partly aware of the processes they can use when communicating with an aggressive patient. In terms of the communication issues the respondents agreed on the fact that their most common mistake consists in their failure to control their own emotions, and losing their temper when verbally attacked by the patients. The results of this thesis could help to increase or supplement paramedics´ awareness of the options for best practice when communicating or handling aggressive patients. Furthermore, the thesis could be used as source material for lectures on issues related to communication between paramedics and a patient.
