Cyber security analysis of photovoltaic systems for apartment buildings
Škoviera, Tomáš ; Kohout, David (referee) ; Mikulášek, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the security problem of a photovoltaic power plant, which is connected to the internet in order to configure it and remotely monitor statistics on electricity production and consumption. A photovoltaic system with an inverter from a selected company with parameters suitable for a small apartment building or a similarly sized building was analyzed. The main objective of the work is to analyze the communication interfaces and protocols through which the inverter communicates, in order to determine whether it is safe from a cybersecurity point of view to have such a system connected to the Internet. The work also includes performing several flooding attacks on the inverter to see if the inverter is able to detect that it is under attack and defend against it appropriately.
Marketing Communication for a Company's Expansion to a Foreign Market
Nguyen, My Linh ; Kaňovská, Lucie (referee) ; Mráček, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis, divided into three parts, studies the development of a communication mix for the selected company Knihobot, s. r. o., which is currently expanding to the Austrian market. The company specializes in the sale of refurbished books. The first part includes the theoretical framework related to the studied issues. The following section is an analytical part focused on the current company's position. The former is separated into two main parts: microenvironment and macroenvironment analyses. This chapter also includes marketing research conducted using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The final part presents original proposals based on the analytical section, focusing on the communication mix for the Austrian market.
Internal Communication in a Selected Company
Vala, Michal ; Konečná, Zdeňka (referee) ; Konečný, Štěpán (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with internal communication in a selected company. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is theoretical, in which the issues of communication, internal communication and manager communication are presented. The second part is the analytical part where the selected company is introduced and then the evaluation and results of the qualitative research are presented. The last part contains recommendations about internal communication based on the results of the semi-structured interviews. After the implementation of these recommendations, the internal communication in the company should improve.
Exercise Design to Support Assessment in the 100KSA Area
Husovská, Viktória ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis explores the concept of competency and its application in pilot training within Area 100KSA. It provides a general overview of competency, focusing specifically on pilot competency and its integration into Area 100KSA training. The thesis emphasizes communication competency and analyzes communication deficiencies that have contributed to aviation accidents. Based on the identified deficiencies, a survey was conducted among commercial airline pilots to gather their real-world experiences. These findings, combined with the analysis of aviation accident causes, informed the design of competency-based exercises focused on communication within Area 100KSA.
Aspects of human resource management in organizations: a study of manager-employee relations through LMX theory
Pronina, Elizaveta ; Konečná, Zdeňka (referee) ; Pfeifer, Marcel Rolf (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the examination of the relationship between manager and subordinate. The theoretical part defines the literature search and key concepts. In the analytical part, the current state of affairs in the selected company is identified and evaluated through a questionnaire survey and the LMX method. Based on the analysis of the obtained information, suggestions and recommendations for improvement are presented in the last part of the thesis.
Creating an educational kit for MATLAB programming using the Arduino platform
Smělík, Jakub ; Grepl, Robert (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of an educational kit based on the Arduino platform for subject Introduction to Programming and Algorithmization. The main reasons for a creation of a new educational kit and selection of suitable components for this kit are described in the introduction and the research sections. The main part of this thesis deals with creation of a toolbox for the MATLAB program, enabling easy programming of an Arduino through the MATLAB language and environment. Next, this newly created toolbox is compared with the already existing toolbox created by MathWorks, which serves same function. Finally, all achieved results are summarized and evaluated.
Personality Development of the Company Manager
Sekretareva, Sofiia ; Konečná, Zdeňka (referee) ; Pfeifer, Marcel Rolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of personal development of managers and its impact on the efficiency and success of a company. The theoretical part defines key concepts such as management functions, roles, leadership styles, motivation, time management, and work-life balance. The practical part examines the current state of personal development of managers in the company a questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews. Based on the information obtained, measures are proposed to improve the work environment and support the development of managers, eading to increased efficiency, motivation, and overall success of the company.
Modeling and simulation of PLC-BPL communication of smart metering in Network Simulator 3
Baranyk, Matěj ; Rusz, Martin (referee) ; Benešl, Lukáš (advisor)
n recent years BPL technology is becoming more used. Despite the technology not needing any additional cable installation it's important to make sure that using the technology itself makes sense or what the needed requirements will be. Due to this reason we opt to simulate real life scenarios and compare them with outputs from network simulator ns-3. This way we're able to recognize the usefulness of our efforts even before we make any plans to instal anything, which saves time and money. Furthermore we can use the same simulator for diagnostics of already installed BPL routes. Furthermore a laboratory measurement shall be conducted in order to increase dataset sizes and to have more data that can be compared with simulation outputs.
Locus Map Extension for Communication between Units on the Battlefield
Cybersecurity of IoT Devices Using the MQTT Protocol
Hanák, Petr ; Holasová, Eva (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the possibilities of securing communication using the MQTT protocol, which is widely used in industry and for IoT device communication. The thesis discusses the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the MQTT protocol and subsequently the measures that can be applied for secure communication in networks containing such devices. Secured communication is demonstrated in a secure experimental workplace containing an ESCON-C device that communicates using the MQTT protocol. The security strategy used primarily involves secure communication across networks through a secure communication channel, where the MQTT client is on one side and the MQTT broker, simulating the deployment of the ESCON-C device in an industrial environment, is on the other. This approach mitigates most of the weaknesses inherent in the MQTT protocol.
