Interviews are conducted with the mothers of the children. The research results were evaluated by the open coding method. The method created 13 categories with individual codes. Each category contains at least 3 codes and at most 7 codes. The results of the research showed that the participation of the families takes place through non-governmental organizations providing social services. All the families that were interviewed have experience with this form of help and evaluate it very positively. Most often, the families work with the organization Autis Centrum, o. p. s., whose headquarters is located in České Budějovice. The most used services are social activation services for families with children and a relief service. Through these services families gain free time which they devote to rest, the children's siblings and other common activities that are not possible in the child's company. The research revealed how time-consuming the care for children with ASD is and showed the complexity of the family situation. The complex situation involves changes in family, social circles and employment. This bachelor thesis could serve as a source of information for students or also for the larger society. It could also serve as feedback to the aforementioned non-governmental organizations which provide social services.
