Manufacture of a prototype component by rapid prototyping method

This thesis describes the production of a prototype component of the bicycle crank with FDM Rapid Prototyping method. Initially, production methods of this component, using different ways of Rapid Prototyping are summarized. The main part of the thesis focuses on the production process from the initial design to the final wax model, which can be used to manufacture metal components. The conclusion compares the component production using standard technology with the one using Rapid Prototyping.
Multifunctional modular FDM 3D printer

This work deals with problems of 3D printers, their types according to function principle and their design. In addition to print materials, FDM printers chapter includes the types of motion systems available for FDM 3D printing, and the possibility of converting 3D printers to other CNC devices is discussed. This theory is then evaluated and the most suitable parts are used to build modular CNC machine wich is then tested in configuration of FDM 3D printer.
Color Correction for 3D scanner and 3D printer

This thesis deals with color correction of a chain that starts with the 3D Artec MHT scanner, and ends with the 3D printers (CJP – Color Jet Printing technology). In principle, it is necessary to control the color interpretation of the entire chain from the scanning of real models to the 3D print model. With color properties and their color shade, including color textures. The principle of model surface scanning using a 3D scanner is in the same principle as photo camera which scans using a conventional CMOS chip. For this reason, color palettes were scanned using the photo camera and the resulting digital data were analyzed by the Darktable software. This analysis consisted of comparing the scanned color shades of the surface with the spectrofotometer measured data. The main goal of this method was to achieve color precision in the digital data during their acquirement, adjustment and interpretation. Then the same principle was applied to the data acquired by the 3D scanner to create an ICC profile of the 3D scanner. Because the 3D printer (CJP – Color Jet Printing) uses the same principle as the 2D printer, the 2D printing device calibration principle was used again to calibrate it. There have been defined procedures that adjust the color shade to the spectrophotometrically correct shades of the resulting print on a 3D printer. Color swatches were also printed for print quality verification. It has been found that with photo camera, which was used for objective measurement in the L*a*b* coordinates of independent space, any color setting and their adjustment is very sensitive to even small imprecisions. Prototype part and made by method rapid prototyping

This bachelor thesis is dealing with prototype stage during development of reduction part for gas flow control, which is positioned in gas boiler downstream of the valve. Thesis is focused on additive manufacturing. Basic technologies, their attributes and procedures which are necessary to be followed are described here. Practical part is composed of 3D model creation in CAD software, export of model to STL format and its inspection for compactness. After that 3D model is sent to printer and functional components are made, that can be used for application verification and for detection of possible design deficiencies before the mold assembly is made.
Testing of selected material properties for 3D printing

This thesis deals with 3D printing, materials used for 3D printing, testing of the materials and learning their real parameters. Goal of the thesis is comparing selected materials, executing series of mechanical test and selecting suitable material for printing high-quality plastic parts for use in automobiles, especially for reproduction of parts that are no longer made for oldtimers and for use in motorsport.
A car prototype manufacture using modern methods and CAD/CAM

The project developed under the engineering studies, solves the problem of production of a prototype car using modern technology, reverse engineering and CAD / CAM. Based on the literary study of the issue, was designed process of digitization of the physical model of car, including the treatment and processing of data. Follow-up step was to verify the production of the additive rapid prototyping technology - FDM method. Verification of the results was performed on a vertical milling cantilever FV 25 CNC with control system Heidenhain iTNC 530 using a cutting strategies by PowerMILL CAM software. At the end of the resulting models edit as necessary.
Data collection from 3D printer

This work is dedicated to design and implementation of a funcitonal model for data processing from 3D printer using sensors in IoT concept. Measured data will be processed and transfered to basic units with connection to the cloud server for any ongoing work. Part of this work is selection of suitable sensors and system members, creation of a functional model of data transfer and its implementation on a 3D printer.
Delta type of 3D printer

This master thesis is about design and construction of FDM delta 3D printer which consists of 32-bit electronics, magnetics printer head and other necessary peripheries. Opening chapters of this thesis are about theory of 3D printing and its methods with description of FDM 3D printers and summarization of FDM plastic materials used for 3D printing. The next part is about used electronics and problematic of heat transfer. The main part of this thesis describes design and construction of 3D printer and its necessary peripheries, which includes creation of its 3D model and application for 32bit controller. 3D model of delta 3D printer and its heating components was created in CAD software SolidWorks. The last part includes description of commissioning and calibration of delta 3D printer with summarization of economic aspects of its creation.
Universal Cloud-Based 3D Print Slicer

This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal and implementation of a cloud tool for preparation 3D models for 3D printing. 3D printing become a part of our lives and it is getting into schools, where it combines the digital world with the physical world. Nowadays schools have not sufficient computational power to handle demanding 3D models for 3D printing. This ascertainment has led me to create a cloud tool, because cloud provides sufficient computational power and it can be shared beetween multiple users at the same time. The cloud tool solves the problem of insufficient power to translate 3D models to G-code, which understands 3D printer. Solution is done by letting the demanding computing logic on the cloud and user just edit model according to his ideas in the web interface of cloud tool.
3D FDM printer with a replaceable print head

The aim of the work is to design and manufacture a mechanism for setting up and clamping the replaceable head of a 3D FDM printer. The first part of the thesis deals with 3D printing in general, the second part describes the FDM method. Part three is devoted to the selection and construction of a suitable 3D printer, the fourth part to the actual design of the head attachment. In the fifth part, a technical and economic evaluation is carried out.
