Determining the Quality of Social and Work Involvement of Individuals with Cerebral Palsy in the Majority Society
KALKUŠOVÁ, Barbora
The main aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out how individuals with cerebral palsy manage to cope in the work or relationship field. In order to achieve the main goal, it was necessary to set secondary goals as well. That is, to determine if individuals with cerebral palsy encounter prejudice in the workplace, both from their employer and co-workers. Another secondary objective was to find out what social impact cerebral palsy has on the everyday life of these individuals. The last secondary objective was to find out the differences in obtaining employment opportunities for these persons, in relation to high school or university education. To carry out the practical part of the thesis, a qualitative research strategy, a questionnaire method and a semi-structured interview technique were chosen. The research has shown that people with cerebral palsy manage to cope relatively well in both the work and relational spheres; however, the path to fulfilling these needs is often more challenging, more lengthy, and full of obstacles that the majority society does not face. It has been shown that in the relational area, especially adolescents, unlike healthy individuals, have to forgive or wait for a longer period of time, which often leads to frustration and sometimes even deprivation. At work, individuals with cerebral palsy often face prejudice from colleagues and superiors, especially in the first few months of starting a new job. Their colleagues often do not initially understand the specific needs of people with cerebral palsy. However, it has been shown that this situation usually improves with time. Thus, the objectives of the work were met, and the work also opened up new topics. Thus, it offers an unconventional range of topics that are often neglected, passed over, or rather a social taboo for the majority society.
Sexual assistance as an object of media spectacularization
Rokosová, Anna ; Hasmanová Marhánková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Balon, Jan (referee)
In my diploma thesis I deal with the issue of media spectacularization in the context of the provision of sexual assistance services. My thesis includes a critical discursive analysis of selected online posts with this topic in selected Czech media. These media are Novinky.cz, iDnes.cz, Aktuálně.cz and Blesk.cz. Since this service first has started to be provided in the Czech Republic in the autumn of 2015, I take advantage of the more active debate on this topic in later years. The aim of my thesis is to highlight the spectacularization of the topic of sexual assistance in selected media, to identify the legitimizing means and to define the discursive levels that appear in the media space. Subsequently, I focus on the actors who speak on the topic of sexual assistance in the media, whether actively or not. An important theme of my thesis is normativity as a social construct (disability studies, social roles) and the stigma associated with it. Afterwards, I used selected media to analyse the transformation of the topic through its spectacularisation and point out the disciplining of the topic through its frame. In my thesis, I draw attention to the social image that the media transforms the sexual assistance service into, how the detabulation of the topic is reflected here, how ideas about gender...

Role Health Social Work in the Context of Long Term Care
KREJNÍKOVÁ, Šárka
Long-term care is currently a topical issue, not only in the context of an ageing population and care for people with disabilities, but also in the context of informal care. Formal long-term care includes health and social services, as well as community services and institutional care, including treatments used to stop or reverse the progression of illness or disability. Informal long-term care is provided by family members, friends or neighbours. A health social worker is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team in the context of long-term care provision.
Comparison of Access of Workers of Children´s Home, Primary School and School Canteen Radenín to Children with Disabilities and to Children without Disabilities
ZHORNÁ, Michaela
The aim of this work was to map the activities of children's home workers in the care of children with disabilities and children without disabilities. The research set consisted of six staff members from the Children's Home, Primary School, and School Canteen Radenín, one of whom was a social worker who is an essential component in childcare. The research was carried out by qualitative research. A method of questioning was used to answer the research questions and a semi-structured interview was the technique. The data obtained from the interviews was evaluated by open coding and then breaking the codes into categories. Based on the research carried out, it has emerged that the education of children in a children´s home varies greatly, due to a visit to two types of schools when children come with different difficulty of tasks. There needs to be a difference in access to education for children with disabilities and children without disabilities. This brings me to the answer to the second research question, when workers in education with children with disabilities have to use certain specific aids to make it easier for children to work. Workers with specific aids not only encounter children with disabilities in education, but also in developing motor and skills in a boy with cerebral palsy. The work brings knowledge in the field of education of children with disabilities and the use of special aids when working with these children. The aids can be educational cards, which serve as an aid to the development of communication skills, or an auxiliary table for multiplication. It is clear from the research that an assistant educator is an indispensable component in working with children with disabilities because these children need individual care.

Divišová, Markéta
This bachelor thesis called “The use of hiporehabilitation for students of secondary schools” focuses on how hiporehabilitation helps people with disabilities. The aim of this paper is to determine whether this type of rehabilitation helps with stress management, improves school grades, strengthens social ties, and develops communication skills. The research was conducted in the form of a questionnaire, which was distributed online. The findings show that hiporehabilitation helps the majority of respondents with stress reduction, to improve school grades and communication, and to create social ties. The outcome of the findings might be used in practice. Furthermore, the findings suggest that hiporehabilitation is beneficial for students of secondary schools. The results may also be the inspiration to doctors when they prescribe the therapy. There is a possibility to improve the life situation of clients in both private and school-based settings. Unfortunately, there are not many sources that would discuss the use of hiporehabilitation in educational sciences. The choice of research questions is based on what seems to be important for better education at school. It is necessary to see the findings as initial information about the topic. The questionnaire respondents were mainly parents. Thus, they are respondents who have a subjective point of view on the questions in the questionnaire. Parents may see the improvement at home and at school. If we wanted In this thesis, there is summarized how hiporehabilitation affects the client and how it improves his school grades. The successful student might be the individual who developed a sufficient attention span and memory, who is among the students that accept him, and who is not stressed because of school. These aspects contribute to overall success and better school results at secondary school.
