Accountability(ies) in Term of Social Work
Kaňák, Jan ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Sivek, Vojtěch (referee)
The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to present individual interpretations of the concept of "accountability" made by workers who provide services in sheltered workshops to people with disabilities in one particular organization. The research of the interpretations focused on the individual as well as on the shared. The qualitative research done by interviewing employees in the grounds of the organisation brought following findings. In broad sense, accountability is comprehended by the employees either as a procedure or a determintaion by a certain verb. Freedom and possibility of conscious estimation of consequences is characteristic for the first case. The reflection includes the frame as well as the action as such. In the second case the definition of accountability is done by means of verb specification. The reflection focuses on the verb and its interpretations. The two approaches of the "Procedure" and "Determination by verb" are almost the same in the broad sense and in profesional sense too. The range of accountability is deeply specified by the scope of jobsheet. There are two more concepts of accountability in terms of profession: Formal (methodic) and Felt-level. The formal accountability is limited by working hours and it includes the relationship to employer, clients and equipment. The felt- level...

BASEL II vs BASEL III and the Impact of the New Regulatory Rules on the Czech Banking Sector
Kubíček, Antonín ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor) ; Janda, Karel (referee)
The aims of this thesis are twofold. Firstly, it aims to analyse the new regulatory rules BASEL III, published in December 2010. These were created as a lesson from the previous crisis and following the developments occurring problem areas included in the regulatory rules Basel II. And secondly, it evaluates their impact on the Czech Banking Sector. Regulatory rules BASEL III contain large number of rules aimed at enhancing the quality, quantity and flexibility of regulatory equity capital, reducing the cyclicality of capital requirements, stricter capital requirements for certain risky assets, intensifying surveillance in terms of significantly important financial institutions and international standards of liquidity. Apart from adjustment of the rules that appear in the Basel II, the regulatory rules Basel III also include rules used for the first time. The analysis of the impact on the Czech banking sector is based on the assumption that the Czech banking sector is well equipped with capital and the impact of BASEL III will therefore not have any significant impact on the functioning of Czech banks. This thesis shows that the impacts depend on the size of the banking institutions. A selected sample of six Czech banks (two from each group of large, medium and small banks) is used, inter alia, to demonstrate this.

Commented translation: Lace wars. Uniforms and equipment of the household of the French king and infantry soldiers under Louis XV. and Louis XVI., and of the British and Prussian infantry in the years of 1700-1800
Přibylová, Marie ; Šotolová, Jovanka (referee) ; Belisová, Šárka (advisor)
The work Commented translation: Lace wars. Uniforms and equipment of the Household of the French King and infantry soldiers under Louis XV. and Louis XVI., and of the British and Prussian infantry in the years of 1700-1800 consists of two parts: A Czech translation of the first part of the above mentioned publication, and a commentary on this translation. The commentary concentrated on the differences between the two languages (French and Czech) and on the translating strategies ensuing from these. It describes the structure of the text (the book as well as the chosen part) and gives information on the authors and the editor. As to translation, special attention has been paid to grammatical, lexicological, terminological, stylistic and factual aspects of the translated text, cohesion and coherence as well as mistakes and unclarities. The motives for choosing the text are listed, together with reasons of the importance of its translation. A brief conclusion and bibliografy follow.

Simple Experiments with Naturally Occurring Materials in ChemistryEducation: Support of Empirical Method and Development of Related Competences
Böhmová, Hana ; Martínek, Václav (advisor) ; Smrček, Stanislav (referee) ; Vasileská, Marie (referee)
173 Summary The doctoral thesis is focused on the problem of gaining empirical knowledge in chemistry education, on the acquirement of related competences, and on the activities which would contribute to the improvements in chemistry education in this area. The aims set in the first part of the thesis were fulfilled. I have confirmed the insufficient level of the competences acquirement among the Czech students, such as formulation and verification of a hypothesis, planning and carrying out a simple experiment, interpretation of collected data or drawing conclusions. Main cause of this problem could be insufficient opportunity to develop these competences in school chemistry (or science) education at ground and high school level. Experimental activities of individual students are rare in Czech chemistry lessons. The teachers quote that the main problem responsible for this situation is missing equipment for practical activities in their schools and absence of suitable school experiments reflecting the given safety directives. Considering these findings, I have created a set of simple chemistry experiments utilizing natural products and substances The experiments are suitable for the individual work of students and for chemistry education even at schools without a laboratory or special science classroom....

On the thermally stratified atmospheric flow modeling
Sládek, Ivo ; Kozel, K. ; Jaňour, Zbyněk
The paper deals with a numerical study devoted to thermally /indifferently stratified atmospheric boundary layer flow. The main objective is related to definition of the model and flow conditions as well as to presentation of some first numerical results concerning the flow over selected hill configuration under the indifferent thermal conditions. The mathematical model is based on the system of Reynolds-averaged Navier Stokes (RANS)equations closed by two-equation k-e turbulence model together with wall functions. The thermal stratification is modeled using transport equation for the potential temperature. The finite volume method and the explicit Runge-Kutta time integration method are utilized for the numerics. A 2D-hill test case with a rough wall has been chosen to perform numerical test.

Laminární vírová řada za ohřívaným válcem při nerovnoměrném rozložení teploty povrchu
Trávníček, Zdeněk ; Šponiar, D.
Laminar vortex shedding (von Kármán vortex street) of a circular cylinder has been investigated under non-isothermal conditions. Numerical simulation focusing on both fluid dynamics and heat transfer has been performed, and the results were compared with experimental data. Flow was assumed to be two-dimensional, laminar, incompressible or compressible. The working fluid was air. A particular attention was given to simulate various thermal boundary conditions on the cylinder surface. The effect of the type of various thermal boundary conditions on wake flow dynamics and heat transfer was not identified in the present numerical simulations.
