The combination of these techniques is the application of active and passive techniques, i.e. the concept of Dr. Rašev, exercises in open and closed kinematic strings, elements of developmental kinesiology and soft tissue techniques, mobilization and manipulation. Methods: The study involved a total of 30 probands with chronic neck pain, randomly divided into three groups of 10. The first group (LTV - health exercise) included active treatment approaches, i.e. the concept of Dr. Raševa, exercises in open and closed kinematic strings and elements of developmental kinesiology. Title: Comparison of the effectiveness of manual therapy and therapy using exercises in muscle postural ligations for painful neck syndromes. Objective: The main aim of this work is to compare commonly used physiotherapeutic techniques, exercise and mobilization, (manipulation) techniques in chronic, painful neck syndromes. Methods: The study involved a total of 30 probands with chronic neck pain, randomly divided into three groups of 10. In the first group the subject was health exercise, in the second group therapy with mobilization (manipulations) techniques and in the third group was a combination of both therapies. Probands were individually treated in five visits, 30 minutes for one visit. The evaluation methods were NRS, NDI and goniometry. The data was evaluated in Microsoft Office Excel. Results: The results showed that after 5 therapies there was a statistically significant reduction in pain on the NRS scale in all three groups. Within the NDI questionnaire there was a very small reduction in the ADL limitation, for all three groups, the changes were statistically significant. Activism During Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU: Human Rights Advocacy of Amnesty International Czech Republic
Dobrovolná, Eva ; Frič, Pavol (advisor) ; Mička, Pavel (referee)
The thesis explores the unique structure of political opportunity that emerged in front of Czech civil society organizations during the Czech presidency to the Council of the EU. Case study analyses how the Czech section of Amnesty International (AI CR) influenced public- policy agenda in the area of human rights. The starting point for the thesis is the formulation of the problem which is considered to be the weak influence of civil society organizations over public policy agenda as well as in-adequate use of the structure of political opportunity. Based on the structure of political opportunity theory we sought to determine whether the organization succeeded in mobilization of its internal structure and resources. We also focused on the transnational aspect of the opportunity. We tested the validity of hypotheses in a quantitative way when we measured the indicators of transactional capacity and mobilization capacity. According to the results AI CR was not able to mobilize enough activists. On the other hand, it was able to use the opportunity for transnational mobilization and networking. The most successful methods of activism proved to be those without confrontation. Further, the organizational structure of the organization is affected by bureaucracy which impedes its mobilization potential.
Analysis of 2010 mass mobilization in Kyrgyzstan : causes and driving forces
Sherniazova, Asia ; Horák, Slavomír (advisor) ; Riegl, Martin (referee)
Kyrgyzstan is the only country in the region that has experienced two violent changes of regime since proclaiming its independence in 1991. The first regime overthrow was in 2005 and the second, which is the subject of this study, occurred in 2010. The actual purpose of the paper was to study the background of 2010 April events in Kyrgyzstan: economical, socio-political situation, and activities of Bakiyev's clan that probably precipitated the grievance in Kyrgyz society and led to mass mobilization. There have been suggestions that a specific phenomenon in the structure of Kyrgyz society called tribalism served as a push for mass mobilization in Talas. Since Kyrgyzstan with its geographical location plays an important role in Central Asia, the events in the country in 2005 as well as in 2010, are of great importance for neighboring countries, mainly for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In addition, Kyrgyzstan is in the zone of influence of some foreign powers - China, Russia, the US and the members of the European Union (EU). The dynamics and contradictions of domestic political and social environment that caused mass mobilization in April 2010 will be disclosed in this paper. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
