Awareness of families regarding the methods of speech therapy prevention
Hroudová, Monika ; Durdilová, Lucie (advisor) ; Mužáková, Monika (referee)
TITLE: Awareness of families regarding the methods of speech therapy prevention AUTHOR: Monika Hroudová DEPARTMENT: Department of Special pedagogy SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Lucie Durdilová ANNOTATION: The aim of the theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis is to describe basic concepts related to the prevention of speech impediments, by using current literature, existing knowledge and research, characterize the most common forms of comminication disorder that usually occur in preschool children and inform about ways of how to prevent speech disorders, mainly primary ones (How can parents prevent the occurrence of speech defects among their children from an earliest possible age). Awareness of parents of the possibilities to prevent speech defects, of child's speech development and of thequality of related literature, will be determinated by a questionnare, this means a quantitative research method. Questionnare will be focused on parents with children between 3-4 years old.

Němečková, Andrea ; Klenková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Durdilová, Lucie (referee)
Title: A child with comunicative disability in nursery school Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with disrupted communication skills on preschool age children. Main goal in this thesis is to analyze the condition of disrupted communication skills on preschool age children on theoretical material and to further evaluate the state of providing logopaedic care and measure qualification level of teachers in nursery schools on logopaedic issue. This thesis is divided into four chapters. First three are theoretical and the fourth is devoted to research. Theoretical parts define basic terms, child ontogenetic development, preschool education and subsequently various types of disrupted communication skills. Empirical part describes research and results of the research. Keywords: speech, language, communication, speech development, communicative disability, preschool child, speech therapy
Occurrence of communication disabilities of children between the ages of three to seven years old.
Šafářová, Jana ; Klenková, Jiřina (advisor) ; Durdilová, Lucie (referee)
In my exam I focus on the occurrence of NKS (communication disorder) in pre-school aged children. I am interested in speech disorders that commonly occur in this age group. Individual disorders describe - how they express themselves and what the individual impact is on the child, whether the child is aware of this disorder and how. Furthermore, I will focus on speech therapy intervention, focus on the way how these children are being treated in nursery schools. Whether the schools have their own speech therapist or if the teachers leave the responsibility of treating this disorder simply to the parents. It also analyze the situation in the first half year of the first class of the primary school. Whether NKS (communication disorder) has the same occurrence or a decrease is rather noticeable.
The Development of Fine Motoric and Grapho-Motor in Children with Speach Disorders
Merendová, Gabriela ; Hájková, Vanda (referee)
This work is focused on the development of grapho- motor skills in children in a class with modified education programme. The development of motor, intellectual and speech functions in 6 children with impaired communication skill who attended a class with modified education programme in a nursery school were observed within a year. Exercising of fine motor and grapho- motor skills was performed daily beside the routine school programme. Case studies of these children were worked out. The results of these children were compared to the results of a group of 20 children of the same age in a common class of nursery school. Differences in all monitored parameters have been found. The most expressive were the differences in the area of speech functions between both groups. On the other hand, an approximation to the standard of drawing can be seen when comparing figure drawing in these children and in the drawings of their peers from a common class. Key words: pre-school children, grapho-motor skills, fine motor skills, speech functins, impaired communication skill
Augmentative and alternative communication by the individuals with pervasive developmental disorder
Kohoutková, Markéta ; Zemková, Jaroslava (advisor) ; Hájková, Vanda (referee)
Název: Augmentativní a alternativní komunikace u jedinců s pervazivní vývojovou poruchou Autor: Markéta Kohoutková Katedra: Katedra Speciální Pedagogiky Vedoucí práce: PhDr., PaedDr.
Suitability of integration of individuals with pervasive developmental disorder
Vobořilová, Iveta ; Prokešová, Eva (advisor) ; Strnad, Pavel (referee)
The title: Suitability of integration of individuals with pervasive developmental disorder The aim: The aim of this thesis is to establish whether it is suitable to integrate individuals with pervasive developmental disorder into a mainstream setting Methods: To elicit the suitability of a possible inclusion of 20 children (boys and girls aged 7 to 15) with pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), two sets of questions and a free interview were used. The sets of questions focused on problematic areas specific to individuals with pervasive developmental disorder, such as difficulties in communication, social interaction and imagination. A free interview supplemented the set of questions aimed at educators. Results: The results of the research showed that our sample group of children with PDD would not be suitable for integration with regard to problems with communication, social interaction and imagination. The inclusion is impossible in cases of 30% of individuals, who suffer from selective mutism. These children do not communicate nor co-operate with their educators during the lessons. However, 70% of individuals with PDD could be possibly integrated. Nevertheless, these pupils do not keep up with their non-disabled peers as for the speech content. Regarding to social interaction, the results are...
Communication Possibilities of Children with Infantile Cerebral Palsy
Zikmundová, Klára ; Saicová Římalová, Lucie (advisor) ; Hudáková, Andrea (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to attempt to summarize what communication possibilities children suffering from a serious form of infantile cerebral palsy have, to describe them and possibly to clarify what exactly restricts these possibilities. The thesis also tries to answer the question in what way the communication of these individuals differs from the communication of intact persons. The core of the thesis resides in a theoretical exposition which deals - among others - with the communication process and its verbal and non-verbal parts, the diagnostic characterization of the infantile cerebral palsy and the impaired communication ability in symptomatic speech disorders which are associated with this disability. It describes how especially mobility impairment and mental retardation are reflected in the way and possibilities of communication. Special attention is paid to methods of alternative and augmentative communication which can be used as a therapy in the stimulation of the development of communication and speech skills, and which very often represent one of few possible ways of communicating for persons with this disability. The theoretical part is accompanied by video recordings showing communication of four girls suffering from infantile cerebral palsy. As manifestations of this diagnosis...
