Titanium, Alloys and Intermetallics for Biological and Industrial Applications

The creation of this Bachelor´s thesis was performed as a search retrieval, which includes basic information about titanium and its alloys. In the first chapter is stated history of titanium manufacturing. Following chapter include the most important property of pure titanium, such as alotropic modifications of the crystal grid, chemical, physical and technological characteristics, there is also space, that is assigned for using contemporary division of titanium alloys, detrimental effect of impurity, shape memory effect and intermetallics instance. Third part concern about selected application in industry. The conclusion pursue about biocompatibility factor and possibility use titanium and its alloys in implantology and dental applications.

The manufacturing of feed sheet metal component

The project made within the bachelor‘s program B2307 represents a proposal of the production technology of a cutting – a device made of steel plate 12020. On the basis of secondary literature dealing with the problematic topic of cutting technology a production of components in sequential device was designed. The sequential device is composed of normalized components and is resolved by using a universal easel. The cutting box is fixed to the compressing machine LEN 40 C (producer TOMA Industries, s.r.o.) with the nominal drawing force of 400 kN. The upper cutting edge and cutting form are made of tool steel class 19, heat-treated according to the drawing documentation.

HONDL Jiří: Production of metal gasket by follow-on blanking die. Final term paper elaborated as part of undergraduate studies in Program B 2341 Machine Engineering, presents design of technology for blanket formation of cutouts/parts made of Al-Mg-Si alloy with cold-process die stamping. A study of literature dealing with the process of step-by-step formation and the relevant calculation, it was decided to opt for tool cutting. The cutting tool comprises standardized components consisting of a regular stand that is mounted onto an eccentric tilting press LEN 25 – C with nominal power of 250 kN. The trimming punches and blades are made of tool steel 19 436.8, thermally treated according to drawing documentation.

Analysis of the PPP project in ensuring restrictive function of the state

This dissertation examines the possibility of private sector involvement in financing the Czech prison system. In the Western World, this form of provision has now become common practice. The paper explores the possibilities of both full and partial participation of the private sector in the provision of one of the restrictive services that in the Czech Republic are delivered exclusively by the state. The theoretical section discusses different alternatives regarding the financial provision through public-private partnerships (PPP projects). These are viewed as part of a wider and comprehensive area of public contracting. Due to the absence of this form of provision in the Czech Republic, all information regarding this alternative has been sourced from foreign prison systems where private forms of prison service have a long tradition (e.g. the concept of privatization by Charles Logan). The findings are then applied and compared with the foundations of the Czech prison system (whose primary role is security and specialist provision) with respect to the economic efficiency of the whole system. A case study is presented which outlines different projections regarding operating costs in a sample of three American prisons with the aim to compare the estimated and real costs depending on the form of provision, i.e. by state or through private management. The research section of the dissertation uses data from the Feasibility study of building a private prison in the Czech Republic. Using calculated values, CBA analysis is employed to evaluate three possible alternatives of financing the construction of a private prison. To evaluate the costs, the following methods were used: the Public Sector Comparator, the DBFO model (Design -- Build -- Finance -- Organize) and the BOT model (Build -- Organize -- Transfer) which primarily utilizes the work potential of prisoners in relation to the increase of return on investment in penitentiary provision. The results of the BOT model showed that the mere existence of participation of a private partner in the Czech prison system can be beneficial as it introduces an important element of competition and basic principles of market economy into the system. However, greater efficiency can only be achieved provided that a more efficient system of settlement of outstanding debts of prisoners is employed. This requires a more sophisticated policy for employing prisoners.

Multi-Tiered Dispute Resolution Methods in International Business

THESIS ABSTRACT The topic of Multi-tiered dispute resolution methods (or "MDR") is one of growing importance for parties involved in international transactions. When applied it allows them to resolve their disputes "smoothly" with the possibility to avoid an open conflict scenario and reduce their transaction costs. This masters thesis aim is to describe the legal phenomenon mentioned above in seven chapters. The first three chapters deal with theoretical and historical background of the topic, followed by the description of a variety of possible dispute resolution methods in chapter IV. Chapter V. lists three model MDR clauses and describes the Med-arb method as a typical example of MDR. Chapters VI. and VII. are concerned with practical questions of relevant legal orders in the arbitration step of MDR and with the importance of recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.

1. ABSTRAKT Tato diplomová práce se dotýká problematiky struktury Základniho cvičebního programu pro redukci nadváhy a zlepšení fyzické kondice. Práce popisuje rozpracované jednotlivé části základního tréninku a měření důležitá pro zjištění jeho platnosti. Ke zpracování byly nashromážděny komplexní informace o jednotlivých faktorech struktury základního tréninku, jak obecných tak specifických ze současných i starších materiálů. Samotná práce je založena na poznatcích z literatury a tvrzení jsou doplněna o záznamy z praktického cvičení. Bylo použito experimentální cvičení dle vytvořeného tréninku. Dále bylo použito měření základních antropomotorických rozměrů a všechny naměřené hodnoty byly zpracovány formou tabulek. Hodnoty a data naměřené na začátku a konci Základní tréninku, ukazují že největších úbytků nadváhy bylo dosaženo u tréninkové skupiny: 0 hmotnost před začátkem cvičení byla 78 Kg, po skončení tréninkového programu 64,625 Kg, rozdíl tedy číní 13,375 Kg; u mužů byla 0 hmotnost Před 95.333 Kg a Po 76,666 Kg a rozdíl je 18,666 Kg; u žen byla 0 hmotnost Před 67,6 Kg a Po 57,4 Kg, rozdíl vychází 10,2 Kg. U kontrolní skupiny bylo vypočítáno: 0 hmotnost před začátkem cvičení byla 78,625 Kg, po skončení tréninkového programu 76,25 Kg, rozdíl vychází 2,375 Kg; u mužů byla 0 hmotnost Před 89,25 Kg a Po 87...

The use of information resources in medical biochemistry

Práce pojednává téma informačních potřeb, jejich výzkumu a uspokojování. V první části se zabývá teoreticky informačními potřebami a požadavky a informačními šumy a bariérami a rozebírá existující modely uživatelského chování. Popisuje také metodiku provádění výzkumů uživatelských potřeb. Dále nastiňuje typologii uživatelů informací v medicínské biochemii a naznačuje pro jednotlivé skupiny uživatelů vhodné informační zdroje (jejich typ a optimální dostupnost). -- Druhá, empirická část shrnuje konkrétní provedený výzkum uživatelských potřeb, a to v časové komparaci s odstupem čtyř let. Představuje pracoviště, na nichž byl proveden (Endokrinologický ústav, Ústav biochemie a experimentální onkologie 1.LF UK, Fyziologický ústav AV ČR) a jejich informační zázemí, dále popisuje konstrukci dotazníku a shrnuje výstupy provedeného šetření ve formě umožňující další ověřování, a to jak formou deskriptivní, tak i narativní. Provedena je také SWOT analýza informačního zázemí jednotlivých institucí. Civil procedure involving the foreign element in reference to the European Union

101 RESUME Before the Czech Republic's accession to the European Union on May 1, 2004, the Czech procedural law, involving the foreign element comprised of national law (mainly the Act No. 97/1963 Coll., on private and procedural international law) and international agreements that had been previously ratified by Parliament and therefore binding on the Czech Republic. After the accession, the European law became a part of the Czech legal order and it introduced a number of legal rules that changed the international procedural law in the Czech Republic. The motive for European integration, along with political and economic cooperation, was the desire to make one homogenous Europe, where all factors of production (goods, workers, services and capital) could move freely. The common market was created in order to help individuals and companies to realize economic growth and compete with world standards. For the purpose of regulating the internal market, the EC Treaty imposed on the European institutions the powers to make secondary legislation. The thesis "The Youth's ldols and ldeals in the Media" investigates media' s influence on young people. The theoretical section presents a general introduction into the issue ofmedia's influence followed by an analysis ofthe present media situation in relation to young people and psychological aspects of the media-youth relation. A particular attention is given to the workings of advertising industry's and celebrities' influence on young people. Violence on television is also briefly considered. Based on a questionnaire research, the empirical part of the paper examines how first-year students of the Czech 4-year university-preparatory schools and the Czech apprentice vocational schools perceive the influence of celebrities and advertising on their peers.

Padají bariéry mezi předměty a posiluje se role žáka. Žák by se měl aktivně podílet na vyučovacím procesu, měl by být učitelovým spoluhráčem. Proto je třeba hledat nové vyučovací postupy a metody. Jednou z nich je kooperativní vyučování. Cíl práce Práce by měla ukázat, jak jsou žáci ochotni přijímat nové metody ve vyučování, zda kooperativní vyučování přispívá k lepším sociálním vztahům mezi žáky, naučí je vzájemné spolupráci, toleranci, zlepší jejich komunikaci a to nejen v rámci hodin tělesné výchovy. Metoda Ve výzkumu byly porovnávány dvě skupiny žáků (n=120). Do vyučovacích hodin tělesné výchovy v experimentální skupině (n=60) byly zařazovány nové metody kooperativního vyučování, ve skupině kontrolní (n=60) probíhaly tradičně vedené hodiny bez inovačních prvků. Data k analýze výsledků byla vybrána ze zadaného strukturovaného dotazníku. Dále k porovnání sloužilo pozorování a rozhovory formou reflexe.
