Teachers´ mental condition at their pedagogical practise

The dissertation deals with mental condition of teachers. Theoretical part of the dissertation aims to define basic terms related to the main topic, delimit terms to mental condition of the teachers and to its revitalization. Special attention is dedicated to burnout syndrome, because teachers are considerably threatened group. Practical part is made by qualitative research. Via semi-structured interviews are investigated causes of teachers´s stress and strategies, which are used to maintaining mental and professional condition.
Options of measurement of coping with stress

This work investigates various methods for measurement of stress coping. Theoretical part introduces basic theoretical constructs that deal with stress coping which are also related to the presented Stress coping questionnaire inventory. Other methods for measurement of stress coping are also discussed. The end of the theoretical part introduces the Stress coping questionnaire itself. Empirical part establishes the basic psychometric characteristics of the inventory and analyses suitability of implementation of specific norms for various demographic groups. Se- cond study within the empirical part investigates convergent validity of the method against other inventories. The results indicate that the inventory is a valid method for measurement of stress coping, although some of its scales are affected by social desirability. Recommendations for improvements of the method are mentioned in the end of the work. Keywords: stress, stress coping, psychodiagnostics
Occupational Stress

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. Environmental stress

Environment, its condition and environmental factors influence human wellbeing both directly because it has direct impact on human's physical health and indirectly because it can cause stress and therefore have negative effect on wellbeing and health. Aim of this work is to find out which environmental factors and problems can cause stress and what factors, how and why, have impact on emergence of environmental stress and coping strategies. Important factors influencing environmental stress and especially coping strategies are stressor characteristics, perceived impact, coping resources, and especially perceived capability to cope with the stressor which is strongly influenced by information and experience and by behavior of others. An individual chooses passive or active coping strategy depending on these factors. Pro-environmental behavior could be one of these active coping strategies.
Stress load in a specific job

The diploma thesis deals with the topic that is common for all workers, the workplace stress. The aim of this study is to find out the level of stress in a specific job. In the theoretical part the author discusses not only the term stress but he also mentions its phases including the burnout syndrome. He mentions many authors that describe and deal with this topic. The empirical part is focused on the research. It contains evaluation of results that were collected by questionnaire. The final results are presented in well-arranged commented graphs and they are source for testing hypothesis about the chosen variables. The final results are discussed in the discussion part and at the end of the thesis.
Human behaviour in crisis situation

This dissertation thesis is based on behavior of human in crisis situations, and the focus is on stressful situations that police officers are involved in. The thesis defines basic concepts issues, analysis not just of the stressful situations, but also reaction to them, furthermore characteristics of the studied group and it lays out some of the general recommended stress management techniques. Performance of the municipal police in the Czech Republic are so specific, that the foreign principles were mentioned only marginally, and only because of the complex transnational perspective. The practical part of the final paper is focussed on identifying the most stressful situations that threaten officers and policemen in their work. This empirical research was conducted at pre-selected locations, so that they can compared with the capital city Prague to the results of smaller towns, villages at several locations in the Czech Republic. In addition, techniques were examined for coping with stress for the municipal police, and from the perspective of the individual police officer. In conclusion, there are specific recommendations to the data found in the survey.
Stress and its impact on a performance at work

This bachelor thesis focuses on stress and its influence on work performance of employees from two selected fields of work. Aim of this thesis is to determine how stress affects employees with different job and how does it influence their work efficiency. Thesis is split in two parts. Theoretical part is based on studies from professional publications, where it defines the characteristics of stress and concepts that are connected to stress. Empirical part is focused on research of stress affecting different groups of respondents: Tesco manual workers and Česká spořitelna administrative employees. This research was conducted via questionnaires and its results were processed by corresponding statistical methods. The results of this research are summarized at the end of this thesis.

Markéta Radová: Chování člověka v krizových situacích. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na chování člověka v krizových situacích, blíže se zaměřuje na stres u strážníků obecní policie. Definuje základní pojmy problematiky, rozbor stresových situací a reakcí na ně, charakteristiku zkoumané skupiny, a uvádí obecné doporučené techniky zvládání stresu. Výkon obecní policie v České republice je natolik specifický, že zahraničí principy jsou v práci zmíněny jen okrajově, a to pouze z důvodu komplexního nadnárodního pohledu. V praktické části je práce zaměřena na zjištění největších stresorů a stresových situací, které strážníky nejvíce ohrožují při jejich práci. Empirický výzkum byl proveden v předem vytipovaných lokalitách tak, aby mohly být komparovány výsledky zjištěné v hlavním městě Praze oproti menším obcím na několika místech České republiky. Zkoumány byly i způsoby zvládání stresu jak z pohledu obecní policie, tak z individuálního pohledu strážníka. V závěru práce se nachází konkrétní doporučení k údajům zjištěných v dotazníkovém šetření.
Human behaviour in crisis situations

The thesis, entitled "Human behaviour in crisis situations", is focused on the issue of floods as a specific emergency situation. The theoretical part analyses the emergency situation itself, its initiators and development. Subsequently, it describes crisis interventions and fundamental strategies, which help to successfully overcome the crisis. Furthermore, the first part deals with stress, its impact on our health, stress responses and possible strategies how to control it. Consequently, it describes forms of social support, which are important for people affected by the emergency situation. The partial conclusion aims to theoretically summarize the issue of floods. The practical part is based on a quantitative research method, specifically questionnaire survey, which was targeted on people, who have experienced floods, and thus help to characterize their behavior. The second partial conclusion summarizes the questionnaire responses and the hypotheses will be either verified or falsified at the end.
Stress load in a specific job

The thesis deals with the issue of the stress load in specific job and it is divided into two main parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is based on a compilation of professional literature and describes the origin of stress, types of stress, possible stressors, the individual stages of stress, response to stress, stress on a workplace and general consequences of stress on human health. Furthermore, this thesis is focused on burnout syndrome and its main causes and consequences. The empirical part is based on quantitative research which is focused on extent of work load and burnout syndrome among employees in banking sector. Also it verifies the existence of correlation between the extent of the work load and sex, age, duration of practice and correlation between the burnout syndrome and sex, age and duration of practice. There was used a questionnaire survey for gaining all the data. The facts were processed and evaluated by statistical methods.
