Brand recognition differences of the Tatra Koprivnice company after 1989

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the current condition of the Tatra Kopřivnice brand. Whereas before 1989 it was one of the most important factories of the Czechoslovak industry, after the Velvet revolution its brand image was severely damaged due several events that occurred. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the specifics of marketing and commercial communication in the industry and B2B business, as well as the theory of brand management. Next chapter focuses on the most important events in the history of Tatra factory that somehow defined it in the public eye. The history after 1989 is described separately. After the analysis of the selected media in the period between the 1st of January 2014 and 1st of January 2015, and the analysis of social media communication of Tatra Trucks Company, communications recommendations were made. The goal of these recommendations is to eliminate the damage that was caused by several affairs associated with Tatra that took place in the last years.

Design of Hydraulic Power Shift of the TATRA Truck

The aim of this master´s thesis is design of hydralic power shift for transmission Tatra 14TS210L. The master´s thesis contains a description of the individual power shifts used by Tater as well as other truck manufacturers. This is followed by a design concept of the power shift, including FEM calculations of the shift inches and piston rods. Part of the work is also production drawings of the body of the power shift and piston rod.

Swing axle of a truck

The main purpose of this diploma thesis is to design a swing axle of a truck for 4x4 chassis without wheel reduction gears. The study consist of two parts. The first part contains designs of main parts of the axle, mechanism of suspension and steering. The second part contains the gears housing stress analysis using the finite element method. The housing of gears is the arm of the swing axle, which is the main part of the chassis.

Design of the cab of rescue truck

The operational vehicle cabin design on the basis of T815-7 Tatra chassis shows possible way how the modern special category vehicle could look like. The design proposal corresponds with current factory production and at the same time brings new individual and unique look. The airport fire fighting special was worked up to be the most universal. The vehicle should fulfil the whole spectrum of the requirements which will be put on it. This diploma thesis solves the design as a complex. Therefore, the whole body was designed to show all the constraints and sequences.

Cultural Center in Koprivnice

The hint of this project was to find the way to transform the cultural buildings from 70`s and 80`s. Espaccialy its the group of buildings in the center of the sity Kopřivnice: cultural house, cinema and museum of technology, which are inapropriatte for its purpose. This transformation also shows new ways to change the whole central part of the city, which is in very insufficient conditions these days.

Cultural Center in Koprivnice

Architectural conception reflects most problematic issues of the contemporary status. These issues are: too many functions under one roof related to confusing operation, low constructional height and poor backlightening. Thanks to elimination of too many functions and clear definition of new operation the new space has been established inside the building, which is not already used but it is removed from mass of the building. the new solution creates proper backlightening as well as enhances orientation inside of the building. The construction is therefore more open towards its surrounding.

Commercial vehicles powertrains design

In this work there are described parts of powertrain of currently used commercial vehicles and their configurations depending on the conception and purpose of vehicle. Individual parts of powertrain are described in terms of both design solutions and operating principle. The work is of the retrieval of character and serves as a source of information about the issue. It can be used for example as a teaching tool for getting deeper knowledge about the topic of powertrains of commercial vehicles.

Reorganization process in Tatra a.s. company

The bachelor thesis focuses on crisis development and implementation of crisis management in Tatra a.s. company, which is traditional producer of heavy utility trucks. The author analyses the causes of problems in this company and points out critical areas in company, which are necessary to be improved in order to save the company. In the end, the author suggests own crisis plan for Tatra, which should be implemented in this company.

Vývoj automobilových závodů Tatra v období normalizace

This bachelor thesis is focused on the development of Kopřivnice car company in normalization period. In the first part of my work I completed history of Tatra company from begin to primary researched period, this in the context of economic and political situation of this period. The second part specifically analyzes the car factory during the seventies. Especially the capital construction, which was started after decision to lead Tatra into the program of multilateral international specialization of the COMECON countries, results and competitiveness of cars compare to production in the west part of the World. The eim of my thesis is to determine factors, which influenced progress in researched period both at national and international level.
