The legislation of the distance contracts according to the new directive on consumer rights

Consumer protection is one of the major areas that The European Union focused on in recent years. With regard to the developement in technical communication the distance contracts became more important. This diploma thesis is focused on the distance contracts and the aim is to introduce and compare the legislation of the distance contratcts according to the previous directive 97/7/EC on the protection of consumers in respect of distance contracts and the new directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. The diploma thesis introduce shortages of the previous directive, reasons for creation the new directive and changes setting up by the new one. The diploma thesis also analyses chosen judgements of The Court of Justice of the European Union relating to the directive 97/7/ES.

Název práce: Prezentace zimních olympijských her v televizních zpravodajstvích s důrazem na gender problematiku Title : Presentation of The Winter Olympic games in TV sport news with focus on Gender problematic Cíl práce: Cílem výzkumu bylo kvantitativní hodnocení prezentace zimních olympijských her ve zpravodajství veřejnoprávní televizní stanice České televize a komerční televizní stanice TV Nova. To vše s důrazem na gender problematiku. Tento hlavní cíl pro objektivní posouzení byl diskutován také s ohledem na počty českých účastníků mužů a žen a jejich úspěšnost na ZOH 2006. Metody práce: Data byla získávána pomocí obsahové analýzy mediálních sdělení sportovních televizních relací v době konání 20. zimních olympijských her v Turíně 2006. Data jsem získala cestou podrobných měření jednotlivých úseků zpravodajství a zanášením získaných údajů do předem připravených tabulek dle kódového klíče. V celém výzkumu se pracovalo s časovou jednotkou - vteřina. Výsledky: Porovnání prezentace zimních olympijských her na vybraných televizních stanicích, porovnání celkového času věnovanému ženám a mužům v rámci zpravodajských relací, přehled účasti českých mužů žen na ZOH 2006, jejich úspěšnost v rámci jednotlivých disciplín. Kontrola vakua a plynového systému pro tokamak COMPASS

This paper is aimed at creating a vacuum and a gas handling subsystem. The new vacuum and the gas handling subsystem was developed at IPP/Prague after the COMPASS tokamak reinstallation. It was necessary to build a system which can operate 24/7 and be fully autonomous. A firmware programmed in the C programming language controls devices connected to the vacuum and the gas handling subsystem. The firmware is programmed at dsPICr Microchip r embedded at a board assembled at IST Lisbon. The vacuum and the gas handling are connected through fiber optics to a server computer and can be controlled remotely through a workstation situated at the control room

Realization of educational problem based on torsional vibration apparatus

The presented master´s thesis deals with realization educational tasks on torsional vibration apparatus. It was designed and tested six educational experiments, to extend student´s knowledge of the static and dynamic properties of rotary systems. On the experimental apparatus it is possible to use inertial discs, adjustable semi-rotary damper with forced vibration crank drive unit. New set of shafts extends the variability of experimental apparatus. Students can realize the measurement of dynamic characteristics and torsional vibration using oscilloscope. New frame for the apparatus which meet all operation requirements was also designed. The solved problematics and all educational tasks are described in new prepared materials for teaching.

Identity management

The master thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, identity management is described on theoretical basis. Particular domains of identity management including authentication, authorization and audit are explained as well as Single Sign-On concept, i.e. using single credentials and entering them just once for access to multiple independent systems or services. In the second part, which forms the main part of this thesis, a practical project was implemented on the infrastructure of the Department of Telecommunications within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology. The goal of this project was to create an environment for central 4 authentication and Single Sign-On using only open source technologies within a computer laboratory used for teaching OS Linux. The project is based on OS Linux Debian, Kerberos as a protocol for secure authentication and LDAP server OpenLDAP. For the Single Sign-On demonstration, NFS services for accessing data on the network were chosen. Using NFS services, users can sign-on to any workstation and access all their data. Administration of users and their import from central FEEC databases was implemented using scripts developed in Python. Next, using Apache, PHP and MySQL, a front-end audit interface for the network administrator was developed in order to inspect and evaluate security events in the network. Messages about suspicious events are delivered to administrator’s mailbox in real time. The project is intended as a security platform which means that other services can be implemented for Single Sign-On as well as new mechanisms for evaluation of suspicious events.

Docudrama on Czechoslovak television in seventies and eighties

My diploma thesis explores how the docudrama genre was used by the communistic propaganda during the period of so called normalization. I describe the role of Czechoslovak television during the Prague spring and it?s ensuing importance for the regime after the year 1968. I explore three TV series from formalistic, manipulative and historic point of view:

Ultrafilters and independent systems

This work presents an overview of several different methods for construct- ing ultrafilters. The first part contains constructions not needing additional assumptions beyond the usual axioms of Set Theory. K. Kunen's method using independent systems for constructing weak P-points is presented. This is followed by a presentation of its application in topology (the proof of the existence of sixteen topological types due to J. van Mill). Finally a new con- struction due to the author is presented together with a proof of his result, the existence of a seventeenth topological type: ω∗ contains a point which is discretely untouchable, is a limit point of a countable set and the countable sets having it as its limit point form a filter. The second part looks at constructions which use additional combina- torial axioms and/or forcing. J. Ketonen's construction of a P-point and A. R. D. Mathias's construction of a Q-point are presented in the first two sections. The next sections concentrate on strong P-points introduced by C. Laflamme. The first of these contains a proof of a new characterization theorem due jointly to the author, A. Blass and M. Hrušák: An ultrafilter is Canjar if and only if it is a strong P-point. Comparison of Czech television news channels ČT 24 and Z1

Diploma thesis "Comparison of Czech Television news channels ČT24 and Z1" deals with collation of two channels aimed at continuous news broadcasting: public service ČT24 and private Z1. The thesis explores in what ways is signified dissimilar targeting at different goal groups of viewers. Analysed is not only the whole broadcasting scheme of both channels, but mainly the content of primetime news broadcasts, particularly in two specific periods: firstly at the beginnings of telecasting of the surveyed channels and secondly after one year of broadcasting in September 2009. The thesis attempts to determine the congruent features as well as the differences of the channels, using quantitative analysis it depicts the pattern of primetime news broadcasts with regard to formal and thematic aspect. In detail the thesis focuses on economical, foreign and regional broadcast and for instance the exploitation of live broadcasting. Since the analysis was accomplished in two different time periods the thesis also deals with changes in programme schemes and primetime news that were taken in action within the surveyed period. Theoretical part consists of the given list of authors I was inspired by or about the production of the authors I was inspired by. Next theme of the theoretical part of the work is about the relationship of the human and the landscape and about their positive as well as negative interface. Practical part of the work contains packet of sketches which displayed the detail of figure in the public transport, "tryptich" of paintworks with the group of people and some presentation of my own photographs by the help of use of templates.
