Design of drive and rotation mechanism for the photoreactor
Kocháň, Matouš ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is focused on designing rotational mechanism for a photobioreactor. Part of this work is dedicated to the basic division of photobioreactors. The main part is about designing several mechanisms of rotation. In the end there is a financial comparison of the designed mechanisms.
Consequences due to Inappropriate Movement Stereotype on a Wheelchair Described by an Occupational Therapist. Subtitle: Used Propulsive Mechanics in Paraplegics
Jarošová, Zuzana ; Hradilová, Iva (advisor) ; Rodová, Zuzana (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on consequences of an inappropriate movement stereotype while driving on a mechanical wheelchair. The examined population of clients suffered from paraplegia. The analysis of propulsion mechanics is the main goal of the bachelor thesis. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on causes involved in the inappropriate propulsion pattern. The main investigated causes can be consequences of spinal lesion and inappropriate choice or setting of the mechanical wheelchair components. In case of the spinal lesion, we are focused on the height of the lesion with regard to the posture and propulsion. When speaking about the setting the wheelchair components, we are mainly interested in the appropriate components selection and components adjustment, especially the seat and backrests, which most affect the seat on the wheelchair. Tests, that can be used to examine the presence of painful states of client, are included in the thesis. The thesis also contains the possibilities of intervention from the occupational therapist's point of view. The theoretical knowledge of propulsion mechanics is used in the practical part, where the analysis of propulsion patterns (with use of video records) as well as the tests of painful states were performed. The conclusion of the thesis...
Vertical worm conveyor
Sordyl, Martin ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is realization of functional calculation, design creation of vertical worm conveyor according to required parameters and consideration of transported materials. Here is realized calculation of main parts of the conveyor, approximate transport performance, design of propulsion, gear, conjuction and regulatory unit, emplacement of worm and strength control of functional parts of the machine. This thesis is composed of technical report and drawings.
Evaluation of wheelchair adjustments and their impact on proper propulsion pattern upper extremities and sitting posture in patients with spinal cord lesions
Dáňová, Petra ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (referee)
Title: Evaluation of wheelchair adjustments and their impact on proper propulsion pattern upper extremities and sitting posture in patients with spinal cord lesions. Objectives: The objective of this work was to evaluate the adjustments of wheelchair and to determine their impact on the work of the upper limbs and posture while sitting. This work was done on a group of patients with spinal lesions with their own wheelchairs. Another objective was to assess how education of proper propulsion pattern and form and type of a grip of handrim affects the correct propulsion pattern. Methods: In the group of 26 patients with spinal cord injuries in different levels of the spinal cord, I tested the adjusments of wheelchair, in particular the centre of gravity and maximum seat height from the ground. I also investigated what education on correct propulsion pattern the patients received, and observed any home-made adjustments to handrim, as well as patients' techniques of handrim grip. Finally, I examined how the subjects drove his/her wheelchair. During all the tests, I recorded video and photo documentation. The results were statistically evaluated using the Fisher test. Results: Despite the fact that only a small group was investigated, I showed the effect of wheelchair seatings on the correct posture. I...
Transtibial prosthesis for recreational swimming
Křemen, Jan ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the construction of an active transtibial prosthesis for recreational swimming. Its aim is to create a working sample of such a prosthesis. The device will primarily serve the patient to move in water - it will be attached to the stump and it will be driven forward. Secondarily, the prosthesis can be used for walking, in the sense that the patient attaches the prosthesis near to a water surface (pool, lake, ocean) and comes with it to the shore. As part of the design and electronics it will be necessary to determine the characteristics of the human resistance in water depending on speed and to determine the necessary propulsion (thrust) strength of the propeller, which will serve as the driving force. Subsequently there will be formed structural variants and selected the best one. This will become default for design and construction of simplified testing device, which will be tested for static thrust. After verifying the functionality and reliability, the final functional sample will be manufactured and tested too.
Design of underwater scooter
Křivan, Michal ; Karásek, David (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of an underwater scooter, which is meant to be used by group of divers. That should be helped by a system of electromagnetic devices, through which could be smaller scooters and other equipment connected with a greater machine. The work is approached more as a design and ergonomics solution, while the construction is associated with conceptual level.
Development of propulsion for ultralight plane with fuel cells stacks
Smetana, Martin ; Sedlaříková, Marie (referee) ; Barath, Peter (advisor)
This work deals with development of propulsion for ultralight plane with using fuel cells technology. This thesis is described different types of fuel cells, fuels, electric motors and other component parts needed to build a functioning drive as a whole. The thesis also described situation in the market of fuel cell technology, production facilities and hydrogen tanks. Work includes part of the design drawings of the proposed solutions of thesis.
The study wheeled undercarriages of mobile machines
Olšovský, Petr ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to summarize basic findings regarding various types of wheeled undercarriages that are used on contemporary machines. The first part of this paper deals with numerous requirements that should be fulfilled by the design of an undercarriage. The fulfilment of these requirements also helps to assess whether the design should be used for a specific machine. Another focus of this paper is to summarize all design solutions regarding propulsion, tyres, stabilizing elements and steering mechanisms. These solutions are compared to each other. Important design elements of wheeled undercarriages are described as well.
The redesign of the compressor for electromotor driving
Mikulka, Vít ; Venclík, Jiří (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with redesign of the compressor for electromotor driving. First part focuses on the principle of compressors, their development and division. The next part describes a compressor MK 100 produced by Benda kompresory Ltd. company. The technical solution of its redesign for 2,2kW electromotor propulsion with maintaining a rotation speed mode of original Honda engine is explained in the last part. This compressor should be used in its redesign version at FME BUT in Brno.
