Map Design for Orienteering
Zemanová, Šárka ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (referee) ; Šafránek, Jiří (advisor)
5 ABSTRAKT Title: Map Design For Orienteering Thesis Goal: The main goal of the thesis is to design an updated map of the educational center of FTVS UK in the Stráž nad Nežárkou for the purpose of teaching orienteering based on literature, theory and participation on an introductory course for cartographers, which is lead by experienced map designers. The secondary goal is to describe the process of map design for orienteering in a concise way and hence create a manual that can be used by teachers of orienteering for design of maps for educational purposes. Method: The work described in the thesis was carried out based on literature on orienteering, particularly on map design for orienteering, and also based on knowledge gained in an introductory cartography course taught by professional map designers. The methodology of map design comprised the following steps: a) selection and preparation of materials, b) field work, when facts are marked in a map and hence the input for further processing is created, and c) the design of the final map in the cartographical software OCAD 9. This process was then concisely written down. Results: The practical output of the diploma thesis is the updated map Ovčín VIII., which is now used as a teaching aid by the Department of sports in nature of FTVS UK. Further, the...

Title: Detection systems for measurements of high-temperature plasma radiation on the COMPASS tokamak by fast bolometers and soft X-ray detectors Author: Miroslav Vácha Department: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: Mgr. Vladimír Weinzettl, Ph.D., Institute of Plasma Physics AS CR, v.v.i. Supervisor's e-mail address: vwei@ipp.cas.cz Abstract: Multi-channel spectroscopic diagnostics on the COMPASS tokamak com- prising AXUV-based bolometers, soft X-ray (SXR) and visible light detectors will cover a wide spectral range of the core and edge plasma emission, aiming to realize a fast tomography at microsecond time scales. This thesis reports on a development of the bolometric and SXR diagnostics. First, procedures of the detector selection and their tests are described. There the design and tests of the special complex port plug, com- bining both detection systems, taken into account a strongly limited available space, a heat protection and a shielding during a cleaning glow discharge, is also summarized. Development of new electronic amplifiers and their connection with the data acquisition system is documented. In the last chapters, basic methods for analysis of data collected using these diagnostic systems are introduced. Keywords: tokamak, plasma radiation, photodiode, tomography

Diseases Related to Diving and Their Prevention
Chytil, Matěj ; Hrnčíř, Evžen (advisor)
Disease which are connected with diving are mostly caused by changes of surrounding pressure. Liquids don't make any harm in organism, due to incompressibility under this conditions.Causal problems are caused by gas and spaces that are filled with it.Gas changes its capacity because of changes of the pressure and temperature and It exerts to walls of spaces filling with it.This fact is responsible for more than half causes of all diseases related with diving. The second half of diseas is caused by changing solubility of gas contained in liquids during changes of surrounding pressure.Other causes are mostly marginal

Psychosocial environment of children at primary school
Hábová, Kateřina ; Provazníková, Hana (advisor)
Psychosocial environment at Grammar Schools is essential for developing healthy personality of schoolchildren. Improper background (inadequate endurance, stress, absence of understanding for abilities developnet etc.) has got substantial effects on health of children and adolescents. Answer of young organism can appear as in the sphere of somatic or psychic changes, as well as in the field of emotional changes. Final effects could be apparent change in behaviour of the person and enhanced risk of health damage. Therefore, it is essential to deal with the prevention of such harming effects and improvement of the unsuitable environment at schools.

Dwelling and drifting in space. Landscape in the poetry of Ted Hughes and Kenneth White
Potočňáková, Magdaléna ; Procházka, Martin (advisor)
This study was originally motivated by a desire to bring together a personal predilection for both landscape(s) and the study of literature, to merge the affective and the cognitive with the more analytical. An attempt to write a critical study about landscape in poetry, however, is bound to encounter difficulties as it is bound to ask questions. As Chris Fitter suggests in his book Poetry, space, landscape, the subject offers multiple approaches and tends to spread innumerable strands linking often disparate areas. On the other hand, one may ask a subversive question, namely whether nature and landscape poetry is not somewhat anachronistic at the turn of the second millenium. It must have seemed so when Terry Gifford, in 1995, opened his book Green Voices3 with a polemical statement: "Nature poetry is having a bad time". He was referring to the previous decade during which allegedly the 'spirit of post-modernism' had changed the preoccupations of poetry and which was marked by such statements of reviewers and editors of poetry anthologies as: "We seem to have lost out nature poets", "We don't publish much landscape poetry" or "Ted Hughes is a remarkable writer but no longer the presiding spirit of British poetry". 4 The very title of Gifford' s book, however, indicates a new impetus behind contemporary...

Project management and implementation of its methods in the realization of selected operational programs
ŠVEJDOVÁ, Helena
In this thesis, titled Project management and implementation of its methods in the realization of selected operational programs, focuses on South Bohemian region, evaluated its potential funding priorities that need to be addressed and to which can be obtained financial support for the programming period 2007-2013. Also focus on private and public entities of South Bohemian region, on areas in which most financial benefit from EU funds are used and the problems associated with them. The theoretical section defines the regional policy of the European Union, the basic meaning and the main purpose of the economic and social cohesion. Also focuses on regional policy in the Czech Republic itself, the operational programs for the programming period 2007-2013 for the Czech Republic and the issue of project management. The aim of this study is to evaluate the implementation process of selected operational programs and using project management methods to develop a proposal for the management company for their solution. The evaluation shows that the South region in its founding document Regional Development Programme has defined those priorities which reflect the intentions of the European Communities, which can be documented by the fact that in these areas is to aid in the European Union intended. So there is enough space on which to set strategic goals and measures to meet the region. Likewise, the results of the survey show a large activity in drawing financial resources from the EU. Also show some problems and obstacles associated with requests for financial support from EU funds. Overcoming these problems and obstacles could open the possibility of utilization of resources and finances small businesses and entities for which it was still unrealistic.

František Hrubín's Returns to Posázaví Region
Riedlbauchová, Veronika
Riedlbauchová, Veronika: Hrubínovy návraty do Posázaví (Prostorová poetika "lešanské" tvorby: U stolu, Romance pro křídlovku, Zlatá reneta, Černá denice, Lešanské jesličky), diplomová práce, Pedagogická fakulta Univerzity Karlovy v Praze, Praha 2003,170 s. Práce interpretuje Hrubínovu poetiku prostoru v pěti dílech z padesátých a šedesátých let, která se váží ke krajině Posázaví a která jsou příznačná svou lyrickou epičností (popř. epickou lyričností). Vedle obecného seznámení s básníkovým chápáním prostoru podává zevrubnější vhled do prostorů krajiny a světnice, do vztahu exteriéru a interiéru a na něj napojených mezních prostorů okna, dveří a řeky. Vymezuje triadické členění prostoru pod zemí - země - vesmíru a s nimi souvisejícího prostoru těla.
The title of this thesis is The Study of Theology in the Czech Franciscan Province during the 20th Century: a survey of the history of Czech theology. The main topic of this paper is an historical survey of study projects initiated by Czech Franciscans, of the persons themselves involved these studies, and of the works which they produced. The sources used are primarily interviews with contemporaries, then archival documents and scientific literature. First, the history of Czech Franciscans during 20th century is treated. Next, four main study projects are discussed: proposed Franciscan philosophical and theological studies in the first half of 20th century; the Studium Catholicum project; the secret theological studies in the time of communist totalitarianism; and the contemporary Institut Františkánských Studií (Institute of Franciscan Studies). The period under totalitarianism is covered in large part. Among the notables of Franciscan theology, the life and work of Jan Kapistrán Vyskočil, Jan Evangelista Urban, Jan Baptista Bárta, and Ctirad Václav Pospíšil are considered. Other figures, such as B.J. Wilhelm, K.F. Minařík, A.J. Tobola, C.J. Kadlec, Z.B. Bouše, R.M. Jáchym, and P.R. Beneš are also mentioned. At the end, many of the interesting titles of 20th century Czech Franciscan literature are...

Grossová, Marie ; Rittich, Bohuslav (referee) ; Buňka, František (referee) ; Márová, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of present work is cultivation of probiotic bacteria L. acidophilus, B. breve and B. longum in such a way that the culture forms cells clusters or comprehensive biofilm on the variety of free carriers. Biofilm formation of L. acidophilus on the silica from point of view bile and acid tolerance in gastrointestinal tract was studied. While the number of living cells in planktonic form (planktonic form) at pH 1 fell by 30 %, the viability of the biofilm cells was maintained to 90 % under the same environmental conditions. The biofilm culture showed also the protection against environment contained bile. Furthermore, the possibilities of drying procedures of biofilm cultures used as commercial technologies in pharmaceutical industry were studied. The comparison of freeze-drying and fluidization bed drying showed, that freeze-drying is more suitable method, which is able to achieve higher amount of viable cells after drying than fluidization bed drying. The effectivity of freeze-drying method is dependent on the selection of suitable cryprotective medium. In this case, about 90 % higher viability after freeze drying was achieved in comparison with fluidization bed drying. Finally, the industrial processing of probiotic strains into the solid dosage form was studied. Tablets should be produced at hardness between 70 and 90 N and water activity of tablet mixture can be maintained below 0.3. Consequently, the drying step of the tablets in a hermetically closed space with at least 10 % of silica gel must be ensured. Thereafter, the tablets contain (5.4 ± 0.7)109 viable cells after 6 months of drying process. Capsule production technology has no significant effect on the cell‘s viability during production. The triplex blistering foil for primary blistering of probiotic capsules was chosen. The triplex foil, which has low values of water vapour transition rate (0.07 g H2O / (m2 × day) and oxygen transition rate (0.01 cm3/m2 × day), was chosen. Other studied blistering foils commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry are not suitable for long storage of solid dosage forms contained probiotics.
