Conceptual History of the term Anthropocene

The word Anthropocene has been used in academia in many cases in the last decade. Geologists and stratigraphers believe that man's influence intervents so much with nature that they propose to call by the term a whole new geological era. This would have far-reaching consequences for (social) science in terms of interdisciplinarity. Due to the topicality of the theme, the diploma thesis aims to monitor the intersection of the term Anthropocene using the conceptual theory of Reinhart Koselleck, and thus find out whether and how the word spreads to public sphere. The first theoretical part presents the sources, maps the reflection of the term in the literature of social sciences and puts the work into a theoretical and methodological framework from the perspective of the history of concepts. It introduces Koselleck's theory of transition phases and explanes its application to the research field using modified criteria. The methodological character of the work is a comparative case study, heuristically grasped by content (textual) analysis of a media text. The main topic of the work is the interpretation of feelings related to the issue of disappearing landscape values at the expense of uncontrolled extensive development of suburban areas. It is a subjective thought product of several years of experience in architectural practice, including, among other things, one's own participation in a similar invasive construction. This empiricism has resulted in the constant questioning of ethical conduct and responsibility. The key terms are suburbanization, urban sprawl, development, satellite town, outskirts, transformation of the aura of a place in „non-aura“. An integral part of the work is represented by considerations about the general position of the object within the hierarchy of (sub)urban space. The object does not mean only positive examples in the form of aesthetic, orientation or vegetation elements. The focus is also on its averted form — waste, utilitarian technical and functional elements or, for example, the seemingly endless colonization of public space by cars. Colonization of our minds. All spatial objects are also psychotropic. Their mental impact can be beneficial, arousing affect or emotion. But what if the objects in the public space are completely missing? The urban object is not far from the position of an artifact, a prop of everyday life, which does not belong to a person physically, but mentally.

The legal principle of sustainable development in response to the climate change Abstract The ongoing climate change is a serious global problem of today's world. The impacts of this change on the environment and humankind together with the climatic sources of law on the international, EU and national level, were the objects of research of the first half of the introductory part of this master's thesis. The second half of the first part of the text introduces sustainable development as a sui generis solution, both as a general concept and as a legal principle according to the valid Czech law. Subsequently, the second part of the thesis conducts analysis of selected climate-sustainable institutes that respected the principles of sustainable development from the perspective of three different European countries. These specific approaches, which were demonstrated with the selected countries, subsequently serve as an inspiration for the synthesis in the final part of the thesis. In it, a recapitulation of the selected current climatic threats was undertaken, to which the author offers a solution through specific sustainable ways of functioning in the world's major socio-economic sectors. Landscape of mining

The landscape of surface mining is a visual play that expoits the land on this large format drawing. My work investigates the limits of hanged art piece through the use of video projection and camera. The spectator is not limited by a clear thought framework but urged to experience a visual experience in this very place and time.

Everything's Gonna Be Alright

My diploma thesis follows the unfinished EGBA cycle, which started in late October 2016. The name EGBA is the result of the uncertainty, anxiety and loss of trust in man as a healthy individual. I see the EGBA project as a candy with a filling, the content of which is composed of taste that influences one another. Even though it's a great advertisement, the great packaging itself looks great, the candy itself is inedible. The first of the mixed tastes is the term postcapitalism, as a constantly persistent system of capitalism, which, despite all possible peripetions, can not and does not overcome. Despite the growing interconnection of influential entrepreneurs with the state apparatus into the incomprehensible web of ties and relationships associated with deepening financial inequality among people, high indebtedness of countries, degrading environment, etc. The second taste is the temporality in which I am the primary acceleration as an alleged tool of progress. Accelerating is a long-term process that comes with modern times as a result of the Industrial Revolution. Today's time brings us a freneticly fragmented reality in which we try to squeeze as many acts or performances as possible into shorter time intervals. Speed has become a sign of success, so it's no surprise that many of us end up on the pill of hope as it is clear that our biorhythm can not be stretched indefinitely. The current, accelerated society can be likened to a swamp. The faster it rotates its gear, the faster it sinks in the liquid period. The third taste is posthumanism, which we have achieved by constantly simplifying and reducing the problems that nature poses before us. This relief has led us to create a machine that is so effective in reducing it, that it also creates its own problems. Technology keeps coming close to us, constantly evolving new technological advances that are increasingly "more sophisticated, useful and smarter". The inconspicuous disappearance of human nature gradually transforms into the form of Thésa's ship. The fourth taste is anthropocene. The theme of anthropocene circulated most of the news channels. Yes, it is serious and undeniable, although in many conspiracy theories it is completely misunderstood, for example, the blue, not the green palette, Donald's tricks, etc. In short, a long-term game of chess, man versus nature seems to be more advantageous for blacks. The last ingredient is a binder named Internet, like saliva flowing through all of these tastes. All of these candy essences are frustrating for me, and the best solution to me was the theme of apocalypse in my previous work. Dystopic thinking, however, does not last long and I have begun to overflow the hopes of hope that it could all have some positive effect. So if I come somewhere to see a bowl of candy, I will not hesitate and taste it. Most of these are places where it is necessary to wait, to withstand, or to buy something, so I will enjoy plenty of time and quiet to enjoy the tastes of candy and wait for the rainbow.

Using slow camera movement in 20 minutes in five video scenes of completely CGI-rendered environment called Area of Universal Latency, I am mapping space-time of the zone which is located in the north-western Slovakia. Minimalistic narration of the autonomous single-channel video projection is confronting subjectivism with universality of the Anthropocene, vanitas and spirituality with the belief of consumerism in infinite accumulation and simulacra of virtuality with the absolute truth. The story of this video-poem is communicated through virtual environment, composed sounds and natural noises. This thesis is presenting a fragment of my attempt to record the morphology of the specific place through which, as the title of the video states, I am indicating the state of reality and its consequences yet not describing it explicitly.

A contribution of object oriented philosophy for political theory Abstract (in English): This diploma thesis is concerned with the turn to materiality and object in contemporary philosophy and explores its impact on political theory. It focuses on conceptions trying to reformulate the relation between subject and object, culture and nature or human and inhuman entities - symetrical ontology of Bruno Latour, speculative realism and object-oriented ontology. The aim of the study is to identify the benefits of these aproaches for political theory. The first frame topic important for investigated theories is the relation of human and state towards complex technologies.
