Compensation exercises as a means of correcting of muscle imbalances in people with sedentary occupation
Augustinová, Michaela ; Hronzová, Marie (advisor) ; Hájková, Jana (referee)
The topics of this diploma thesis are issues of a sedentary lifestyle and the influence of compensatory exercises as an instrument to compensate the muscle imbalances associated with it. In the theoretical part of my thesis, I focused on explaining and defining the basic problems of this topic and then on several already published international studies dealing with this issue for a long time. I have chosen three studies that reflect the problem on the human body and show significant problems connected with a sedentary lifestyle. For my own research I created compensation exercises for my selected reference group, that is the good specimen due to its sedentary occupation and the age between 40-51, based on the published international studies. For my research I have used the method of experiment in which I have used the testing, examination and evaluation techniques of the motor system. The plan of compensation exercises I created based on the imbalances I have studied and problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. My research was also focused on the positive effects of physical activity in this group due to their workload and the causal link between a sedentary lifestyle and health of the respondents. The main objective of my thesis is to demonstrate the impact of this plan of compensation...
Consequences of forced hypokinesia on human movement apparatus
Kadlecová, Jana ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Otáhal, Jakub (referee)
Title: Consequences of forced hypokinesia on human movement aparatus. Objectives: The aim of this study was to find out the influence of forced hypokinesia after total hip replacement on the excitability of α motoneurons. I deal with the changes of H-reflex and M-wave latencies and the changes of the recruitment curves. The results of the operated and non-operated (kontrol) lower limb were compared. Methods: Five volunteers 3 - 4 weeks after total hip replacement participated in this study. The age was 62,4 (± 3,01). The H-reflex was elicited by stimulation of tibial nerve in a poplitel fossa. The H-reflex and M-wave latencies and its recruitment curves were obtained. After that the values of the operated lower limb were compared with the non-operated one (control). The results were evaluated as case studies. The EMG device Grass Telefactor was used to detect the electrical potential of soleus muscle. The rectangular pulses of 0,5 ms duration were used for stimulation tibial nerve by Grass 88 Stimulator. Then the data were transduced by CED Power 1401 device. Results: We found out that the H-reflexes of both lower limbs were not elicited in the case study no. 2 and the H-reflex of a control lower limb was not elicited in case study no. 1. The stimulus intensities for eliciting H-reflex and M-wave...

Tluchořová, Terezie ; Jelen, Karel (advisor) ; Lopot, František (referee)
Title: Hypokinetic load Identificators by driving vehicle Objectives: Development and testing of methods for determining changes in the mechanical parameters of the axial system of professional long-distance drivers. Design and testing procedure for clinical and physical examination sensitive to changes, that occur due to vibration and static load when driving the truck. Methods: TVS method, morphology of the spine, measurement of vibration exposure Results: TVS method that was used in the thesis has proved to provide information on the resonant frequency of the resonant frequency and the total attenuation of the spine with sufficient precision to ride their influence was clearly identifiable. Used accelerometer measurement of oscillations vibrational excitation spine has also proved applicable and provides objective parameters. Keywords: TVS method, vibration, hypokinesia, acceleration, driving, LBP
