Compiler from Scheme to C/C++
Novák, Jan ; Yaghob, Jakub (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Scheme is a simple language which is well suited for analyzing various constructs of programming languages and experiments with code optimization. To implement this language we use an intermediate code called continuation-passing-style, which is widely used in implementations of functional languages. We present its relation to conventional implementations which use stack to control the program. Then we describe simple methods of global static analysis of the language. Analyses are based on abstract interpretation which uses abstract garbage collector. It allows many optimizations such as variable globalization, variable renaming and elimination of unused assignments. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Gombrich theory of reception of representational works of art
Fejfarová, Tereza ; Ševčík, Miloš (advisor) ; Kubalík, Štěpán (referee)
The aim of my thesis is to introduce E. H. Gombrich's views on the nature of the reception of representational works of art. Firstly I describe the moments in Gombrich's life that contributed to the formation of his views on this topic. Subsequently, I focus on Gombrich's very concept of the reception of representational works of art. My thesis is divided into three parts, in which Gombrich's reflections on reception are thematized. The first part introduces reflections on the participation of the viewer in the process of the reception of works of art. This part demonstrates that the core of Gombrich's views create a distinction between two spheres: "vision" and "knowledge". The second part, in which I tematize Gombrich's concept of reception, introduces his views on the artist's role and discusses the manner and limits of artistic creation. The third part describes Gombrich's reflections on the development of reception, in relation to historical changes on artistic functions. My thesis analyzes Gombrich's reflection, which is that knowledge, experience and memory have a dicisive influence on the perception, interpretation and the creation itself of the work of art. In another part of my thesis, I paraphrase Gombrich's reflections of the perspective representation and I pay attention to the...
Kant and Husserl on Transcendental Character of Experience
Trnka, Jakub ; Moural, Josef (advisor) ; Karásek, Jindřich (referee) ; Novotný, Karel (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to examine both Husserl's and Kant's transcendentalism in a way that would avoid the tendency to put the main accent on Husserl, which is an approach common to almost all literature dealing with this topic so far. Since it is for the most part Husserl's own critique of Kant that inspires such ongoing underestimation of Kant in comparison to Husserl, this work focuss on the question of the legitimacy of this critique. The core of the thesis is an original interpretation of Kant's transcendental philosophy which, instead of taking for granted the phenomenological point of view, attempts to describe Kant's philosophical enterprise from its own perspective and in its own right. In its second part, the thesis provides a brief description of how Husserl, starting initially from the position of descriptive psychology, arrives at a transcendental dimension. When so put side by side, it becomes evident that the two transcendental positions are in fact very different. Husserl's critique of Kant then appears as unjustified, even though quite understandable as an attempt to draw back from certain immature motives of his own philosophy.
Demonstration set for basic keying techniques
Žlebek, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Číž, Radim (advisor)
This thesis concerns itself with construction of a set of laboratory products, used for demonstrating the basic methods of digital modulation. The primary product, is a generator of carrier and keying signals, which generates cyclically repeated data, and a carrier signal. Another two products are ASK and BPSK modulators. The theoretical part of this thesis describes a basic summary of different kinds of modulation and the design of all the product prototypes themselves. The practical part proves the functionality of individual components of the generator and the functionality of the modulators. In the last part of this thesis, there is a proposal of the laboratory task and its sample solution.
Patform-Neutral Representation of Simualtion Models Based on XML
Durman, David ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The variety of platforms for describing models of discrete event systems brings about the problem of how these models should be represented in order to be easily shared across platforms (shared for the purposes of model validation, effective execution, model reusing,  or model integration). This study develops and implements the language DEVSML for the representation of the DEVS models. For the description of these models components, I use state diagrams, which are represented by SCXML. Actions and guards of the state diagrams are described using the language Scheme. This study also presents a visual tool for creation of the state diagrams, which is incorporated in the SmallDEVS system. For the Adevs environment, a transformer of the models described by DEVSML is implemented.
Corporate Competitive Strategy
Čech, Petr ; Mátl, Roman (referee) ; Bartes, František (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to create competitive strategy of a middle-size company working in mechanical industry. The thesis analysis the current state and the internal factors of the analyzed firm with respect to the external factors. The competitive strategy and its implementation are suggested on the base of defined firm´s target and competitive advantages.
Posing problems with a given structure by pre-service teachers
Hošpesová, A. ; Tichá, Marie
Posing problems of given structure is considered as a way of fostering teachers’ competence. We work with schemas from two perspectives: (a) schema as visualization of process of problem solving, (b) schema as representation of the structure of problem. We focused on the question: What problems do students pose if they are given a branched chain which represents the structure problem or solving procedure? Findings of ongoing research from work with teacher students are given.
Educastion kit for working with microcontrolers AVR Atmel
KUBEŠ, Miroslav
This thesis deals with design and production of teaching kits with Atmel AVR microcontroller. This kit includes a processor board and modules, which will connect to the board. It describes the equipment needed for software design and programming of microcontroller and technological processes to create a kit. Also, it will find the basic theoretical knowledge to work with the ATmega8535 microcontroller. Kit along with a disc on which are recorded all the diagrams, pictures and programs created by me, will be attached to the thesis.
