Speech prevention in kindergarten

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with issues of speech disorder prevention, speech development in children, the most common articulation disorder - dyslalia and possible ways of its prevention. Further on, I focus on various factors contributing to speech development, on the framework educational programme for pre-school education in relation to language and speech and on the actual speech disorder prevention in the nursery school programme. The practical part discusses ways the primary prevention in nursery schools actually works, if the teachers are given sufficient support in this area and whether common practice corresponds with their vision of an ideal prevention delivery. Results will be collected through a questionnaire, additional interviews and literature analysis. The goal of this work is to map teachers' interest and knowledge in the area of primary speech disorder prevention and its relation to postponement of compulsory school attendance. Speech therapy prevention in kindergartens in the Klatovy region

The subject of this bachelor's thesis, which deals with one of the sub-fields of special pedagogy - speech therapy - is the provision of speech therapy prevention in kindergartens in the district of Klatovy. The aim of the work is to examine the provision of this prevention in the Klatovy region. The paper is divided into three chapters, while the first two define the theoretical basis of the thesis. With the help of professional literature, the topics of communication, speech therapy intervention with an emphasis on speech therapy prevention, speech development, preschool age or the most frequent types of impaired communication skills occurring in preschool age are defined. The empirical part analyses the data of a qualitative research survey conducted in the form of interviews with teachers in kindergartens. The work explores the course of speech therapy prevention, the cooperation of kindergartens with professional external institutions regarding speech therapy prevention, the tools used as well as the pitfalls in providing prevention. Based on the research survey, attention was drawn to the insufficient cooperation of kindergartens and clinical speech therapists or special pedagogical centres. Aids for speech prevention in pre-school education

The Bachelor thesis examines logopaedic prevention in regular and logopaedic kindergarten grades. In addition, the present thesis is engaged in the use of logopaedic aids in pre-school education and discusses the funding of these aids. The theoretical part provides a brief description of the pre-school age. This part also depicts the most common logopaedic disorders and characterizes regular and logopaedic kindergarten grades. A considerable portion of the theoretical part is concerned with logopaedic prevention in the kindergarten. Last but not least, logopaedic aids and options of funding of these aids are investigated. The practical part of the Bachelor thesis is based on the quantitative method. Two questionnaires were developed for this purpose. One questionnaire was intended for teachers in regular and logopaedic kindergarten schools and the other was submitted to headmistresses, head teachers or coordinators for educating children with special educational needs. The objective of the research was to determine whether the level of logopaedic prevention in logopaedic kindergarten grades is higher than that in regular kindergarten grades. The other objective was to discover whether the funding of logopaedic aids is sufficient.
