Election of president Emil Hácha and his image in the media in contemporary newspapers at the turn of 1938-1939

Bachelor thesis "Election of president Emil Hacha and his media image in period newspapers at turn of 1938 - 1939" deals with the acceptance of Munich Agreement which meant passing our border territory on to Nazi Germany. The thesis deals with Edvard Benes abdication and with factors of the nomination, vote and presidential work of newly elected president Emil Hacha. The thesis shows Hacha's election, his media image in the period newspapers and the circumstances and effects of his leading political position in Czechoslovakia from December 16, 1938 when Hacha became a potential presidential candidate to March 16, 1939 when the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia was formed. The articles for the analysis were taken from daily newspapers Pravo lidu, Narodni prace, Lidove noviny, Venkov a Ceske slovo.

Design of hydrogen pressure tank installation on the VUT 001 Marabu wing

The content of this Master thesis to design installation of hydrogen pressure tanks for airplane VUT RAY 051. Survey was conducted of the available fuel cell on the market. Position of the tank was chosen over the wing using components for mounting a jet engine TJ100 M for aircraft VUT 001 MARABU. For fuel tanks were designed fairings. Further was calculated mass and centre of gravity analysis of aircraft, basic flight performance of aircraft and the drag variation in the location of the tanks above the wing. Further the strain and strength of hinges was calculated.

Shark as a cultural concept

The aim of this work is to analyze shark as a cultural concept. From cultural point of view, we are able to look at the shark as a pattern, which is always changing in time and environment, in other words, sharks are not only sea species but also creatures holding symbol of meaning. In many world cultures, shark became a symbol of many meanings. Using the system analysis approach, I will attempt to describe the shark from different point of view of Human sciences. First of all I will make a research about shark as a biological part and its importance and indispensableness in perfectly balanced ocean life. Including possible consequences of losing this fascinating creature by exterminating it. From biological and ecological outlook I will move to socio-cultural and symbolical part, which I comprehend as a pivotal point in this research as whole. This chapter is dedicated to the question of overall negative perception of sharks by people. Among other topics, I will also attempt to describe symbolical meaning of sharks in Pacific cultures and compare with its role in western culture. The phenomenon of refugees in the Syrian civil war

This thesis deals with the current issue of refugees on the background of the Syrian civil war and its consequences for stability in the region. With regard to the fact that the crisis in Syria is felt throughout the entire Middle East region, the aim of this work is to map the impact of the conflict on neighboring countries of Syria. Based on the hypothesis, the effects of civil war and refugee phenomenon destabilize the whole region; therefore, my research question concerns political and social implications of the Syrian crisis in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey. The work also reveals the vulnerability of these countries, which find themselves in a dangerous situation resulting from the Syrian events. In terms of methodology, this work uses a variety of methods. My research relies especially on the methods of research, description, comparison, analysis and synthesis, historical method and interview method as well. Based on these methods, I will answer the research question through a wide range of impacts, covering security, political, social, ethnic, and economic issues of the analyzed countries.

Formal and material aspekt of the notion of a crime

Preview The recent adoption of the new Penal code in Czech republic has entailed a range of new approaches, including new conception of the notion of the crime - a crucial institution of the penal law itself, stretching from the fundamental questions of criminal liability via the institution of an attempt to the field of penal procedure. This has give rise to multiple juridical questions, that this work aims to analyse. II. Subject of analysis One of the principal objectives of this diploma thesis is to be seen in the delineating of conclusions of the positive school of penal law and evaluating the measure to which they influenced the Czechoslovak legislation in the realm of criminal law, examining the role of the phenomenon of the social dangerousness in relation to the particular questions on the field of substantial as well as procedural law. Socio-economic analysis of administrative districts of Prague

Socio-economic analysis of administrative districts of Prague, namely Prague 1-22, is carried out by MasterCard method, an aggregate index, created from defined indicators of social and economic areas. Indicators are given a specific weight. The aim of the analysis and of the whole work is to find out which administrative districts of the capital Prague benefit from the biggest socio-economic development, which is because of availability and comparability of data analyzed for the years 2008 and 2012.

Misleading advertising and deceptive business practice when shopping online

This Bachelor´s thesis deals primarily with the issues of misleading advertising in online shopping, especially when purchasing at single-item e-shops. The thesis provides a description and comparison of misleading advertising and deceptive business practice, an analysis of a specific ´problematic´ e-shop and its comparison with a ´problem-free´ e-shop and a comparison of characteristics that are common to misleading e-shops. The thesis also includes a list of institutions that are authorized to resolve issues related to misleading advertising and deceptive business practice. The practical section of the thesis proposes a website add-on that might help reduce significantly the number of fraudulent e-shops.

Mediální prezentace veřejné zeleně v Českých Budějovicích (obsahová analýza jihočeského regionálního tisku)

Press is a part of mass communication providing the public with information and symbolic contents. It always reflects the supposed interest of the public in concrete problems and it mediates social control of the institutions which are responsible for the particular spheres. On the basis of the content analysis of the regional press in South Bohemia we can state that citizens do not perceive the problem of public greenery as urgent and thus this topic is not very frequent in the media. People mainly observe if public greenery is in good shape. The number of organisms to be encountered in urban environment by greenery users is not large according to the press.

Implementation of the Smart Metering Systems in Energetics in Slovakia

The goal of the Master´s thesis is to map the actual situation of transformation of power energy sector to smart grid, find answers to some of the major questions concerning the implementation of smart metering systems, evaluate societal and economic costs and benefits, evaluate trends in legislation, compare the situation in Slovakia with other peer countries from the European Union, and create a follow-up recommendations for Slovakia based on this assessment. The thesis includes detailed critical analysis of the CBA, originally created for Slovakia, using benchmarking with countries with a different calculation approach. The used methodology in this work is a research of available resources, qualitative research of case studies, break-down of the CBA, and expert research through interviewing. The outcome is evaluation of economic and societal contributions of smart metering systems and mapping the process and state of the implementation.

The possibilities and conditions for the use of tools for analyzing customer behavior on social networks

The thesis deals with free tools that can be used to analyze customers of SMB e-commerce enterprises on the social network Facebook in order to increase their competitiveness within the social network. The theoretical part focuses on defining key terms, distinguishes types of social media and describes present social networks situation in world and in the Czech Republic from a users perspective and in the Czech Republic also from an enterprises perspective. Furthermore, the theoretical part also deals with possibilities that social networks can offer to the SMB enterprises. And as well it identifies different types of analytical tools that can be used for purposes of monitoring customers or analysis of customers. In the beginning of the practical part there is introduced the company Dobrutka.EU s.r.o. (the e commerce B2C company). Afterwards is presented the analysis of the survey about how SMB companies that operate the best Czech e-shops monitor and analyze their activities and customers from the social network Facebook. Subsequently there is handled the selection of appropriate tools for SME companies, which are also analyzed in the following chapter. At the end of the practical part there is practical application of knowledge from the thesis to Dobrutka.EU s.r.o. through the design and pilot deployment of appropriate procedures and analytic tools, whose effectiveness is evaluated at the end of chapter. The main benefit is in act of finding and verification of free tools and effective method that allows for detailed analysis of company customers even for micro companies and thus also effectively achieve positive economic results even in emerging facebook presentations.
