Discrimination and Unintended Consequences
Švaňa, Ivan ; Munzi, Tomáš (advisor) ; Koblovský, Petr (referee)
The thesis is divided in two parts. The first, theoretical part familiarizes the reader with the term "discrimination" in economical theory from past until present and helps to understand the nature of economical problem of discrimination. Consequently, its modern forms, the efforts of governments to solve this problem by including the anti-discrimination precautions into the law and present state of discrimination at labour market in Czech Republic are described. The second, practical - analytic part, is dedicated to analysis of unintended consequences of anti-discrimination precautions, the analysis of state interventions economy in given area, possible question of moral hazard, and oddities of mature anti-discrimination policies of Germany or USA. Based on these analyses, the conclusion is dedicated to my approach to discrimination at labour market and to own ideas how to understand and solve given problem.

Multicultural Education as Philosophical problem
Morvayová, Petra ; Pelcová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Horák, Josef (referee) ; Bendl, Stanislav (referee)
The thesis deals with multicultural education definition and practice antinomies and with paradoxes arising from its bases that are destabilizing its concept and disputing its potential to fulfil the aims that are proposed by. Our analysis insists on findings and approaches coming from philosophical, philosophical antropology perspectives, from philosophy of social science, sociology of knowledge, theories issue from social and cultural antropology, political philosophy and post-structuralist philosophy of language that takes language as an instrument or image of understanding and word sense as an intertextual. The aim of this text is to introspect terms, definitions, constructs and optics of multicultural education concepts from the point of view of critical philosophy of education. Vexation at highschools in Kroměříž county
VITOŠOVÁ, Andrea
ABSTRACT In today´s world chicane becomes more pronounced term and is considered to be the most significant negative aspect of current school system. In addition unlike chicane in the past today is displays more alarming features. That includes in particular increasing number of chicane occurrence in schools, lower age of offenders and increased aggressivity and brutality of such behaviour. Chicane is a complex and cross-society problem. And it is defined as any behaviour with the intention to harm somebody repeatedly, threaten or intimidate other student or group of students. This intentional violence is focused on individuals or groups of students who don{\crq}t know how or cant defend themselves for whatever reason. It includes physical attacks in form of beating, extortion, robberies, damaging of property of others as well as verbal attacks in form of invectives, aspersions, assault or humiliation. It may also have the form of sexual harassment or even sexual abuse. Chicane occurs also indirectly as notable neglecting or ignoring of a student or students by the teacher or other group of students. Danger of chicane is based mainly on its severity, long term effect and related consequences for mental and physical health. These are the reasons why chicane must not be neglected and underestimated. The purpose of this diploma work is to map occurrence and severity of chicane in secondary vocational schools in Kroměříž district. In my opinion this objective has been achieved. The research objective was to prove or disprove the following hypothesis: H1: Chicane occurs in secondary vocational schools in Kroměříž district. H2: Most of chicane cases are not of severe character in secondary vocational schools in Kroměříž district. H3: Most of chicane offenders also display discipline problems. H4: Boys are more often chicane offenders than girls. The H1 hypothesis has been proved. 66 % of students in secondary vocational schools in Kroměříž ever experienced chicane and 21 % of students experience chicane in their current school. The H2 hypothesis has been proved. Chicane is not of severe character. The most common form of chicane is verbal attacks, humiliation and aspersions. The H3 hypothesis has been disproved. The research did not prove that chicane offenders also display discipline problems. The H4 hypothesis has been proved. The result of the research conclude that boys are more often chicane offenders, in 60% of cases. In addition the research pointed out the problem of chicane reporting and solving. Chicane often remains unreported or is reported but not addressed. As concerns the chicane abatement issue in secondary schools, also 8 % of students is of the opinion that their school effectively addresses chicane and less than 61 % of student does not even know if their schools are addressing this problem at all. Therefore I would recommend to schools to pay more attention to communication with students about this socially pathological problem and take preventive measures.

Design of processes of business department in IT company and measuring their performance
Schütz, Martin ; Oškrdal, Václav (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis deals with design of new processes of business department in IT company which provides server hosting, web hosting and domain registration services. These processes come from identification and analysis of current processes and the theory of business department management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were set for selected processes which can be used for managing the company as a whole. Models of processes were created due to EPC notation. New processes were designed to continuously create data in CRM information system providing evidential and information support necessary for business department management, including the possibility of measuring its performance. Processes also automatize often repetitive activities and provide relevant information to other affected business units within the company. Contribution of the thesis lies in results of analysis of current identified processes containing solution proposals of discovered problems and newly created process models. Both can be used as a pattern for optimization of current processes in already existing organization or for designing new process models in new organization in the same or similar field of business.

Child with ADHD in Younger School Age
Johnová, Markéta ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Nejedlá, Dana (referee)
This essay is dealing with a problem of children with ADHD, especially taking into consideration how to work with them and what kind of surrounding is suitable for them according to the reduction of their difficulties. In the first chapter I am presenting the basic information about ADHD. I have included this chapter for general familiarization with this problem and with the difficulties, that the children with this diagnosis have. Further in my essay I am presenting mainly the practical recommendation for common life at home and in school. In the practical part I am describing the system of ZŠ Grafická, what is the approach to the chidren with ADHD in practice nad what is the school offering to them. By the description of the practice and the surrounding at the ZŠ Grafická, I am comparing the theory of approach to children with ADHD with the situations in real life. Due to the descriptions, the comparison can be done by the reader. Summary is noted in the Conclusion. The problem of the children with ADHD is quite broad, the children have difficulties of different extension and seriousness. Ussually, they do not differentiate from the ordinary children but they are in disadvantage when they have to deal with education, learning and coping with daily situations. Common life can be eased by the right approach...

Dáva v kritike socializmu zmysel Hayekov prechod od debaty o racionalite ekonomickej kalkulácie k argumentácii kultúrnou a náboženskou evolúciou? Príklad Československa
Haško, Michal
The aim of this work is to examine whether Hayek's theory of cultural and religious evolution is applicable on Czechoslovak developments in 1980s. To that end, we first examine the relationship of Hayek's involvement in socialist calculation debate in 1930s-40s with his cultural evolutionary argument against socialism in his later thought. We provide text analysis of his work and resources concerning his argument on the knowledge problem of socialism in Czechoslovakia. We find that cultural evolutionary argument is of institutional nature and we follow Hayek in delineation of the history of civilization based on institutions sanctioned by cultures and religions. The last part is concerned about the revolution and its illustrative performances by the example of Poland. The last part is empirical. We delineate the cultural and religious developments in 1980s in Poland and its consequent fall of socialist regime. Subsequently we analyze cultural and religious developments in Czechoslovakia and arrive at our main contribution. Hayek's theory can be applied on the case of Czechoslovak developments.

Agression measurement and assessment using methods of psychological diagnostics
Harsa, Pavel ; Žukov, Ilja (advisor) ; Hynek, Karel (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Stanislav (referee)
We have tried in doctoral thesis to objectively verify usability of questionnaires and projective methods in evaluation of aggressiveness of psychiatric patients. In the theoretical part of the study we discuss definitions of aggression and aggressiveness. There is a number of theoretic interpretations of aggressiveness and aggression in which these general terms are characterized. Most authors and single theory are in full agreement of views that there are two types of aggression, aceptable and unacceptable for society. We have aimed at bio-psycho-social aspects of aggression and the structure of aggressive personality. Nowadays there are many branches of science, which are engaged in aggressiveness, for example genetics, biology and psychology. It is evidence to support the view that aggressiveness is a serious problem in human society. At the same timee it is difficult to find empiric assessment of aggression. (...) In conclusion: These results verify clinical and forensic experience with assessment and measurement of aggressiveness. Test methods show much more general temperament dispositions, tendency to emotional reaction and to explosive reactions. Information and experience from this thesis could be helpful for assessment of emotional aggression in psychiatric patients and for forensic practie....

Polarized Radiative Transfer in Solar Atmosphere
Štěpán, Jiří ; Heinzel, Petr (advisor) ; Degĺ Innocenti, Egidio Landi (referee) ; Bueno, Javier Trujillo (referee)
The adequate theoretical models of the NLTE radiative transfer are needed for interpretation of the complicated spectra emerging from the magnetized solar atmosphere. In the first part of the thesis, the quantum theory of polarization is reviewed along with the problem of NLTE radiative transfer of the 2nd kind. A general notation for a numerical treatment of the atomic density matrix is introduced. A lambda-operator splitting technique is presented and used for development of a novel preconditioning method analogous to the Jacobi iteration algorithm. Number of processes is taken into account: atomic polarization, level-crossings, Paschen-Back effect, Hanle and Zeeman effects, optical pumping, collisional (de)polarization. A nonlinear multigrid technique is developed in the framework of polarized radiative transfer theory and the eficiency of the method is discussed. The potential of this new solver is demonstrated on an example of transfer of the optically thick line of a multiterm atom in the Paschen-Back effect regime. In the second part of the thesis, the particular problem of impact polarization of the hydrogen H-alpha line in solar flares is considered. The semi-empirical models of the flaring chromosphere are used to find the differential effects of the proton beam on the line intensity and linear...
