The Existential Poetry and Jiří Orten
Veselka, Martin ; Špirit, Michael (advisor) ; Wiendl, Jan (referee)
The work is divided into two chapters. In the first one the World's and Czech poets (chosen on the basis of Orten's list of reading) are analyzed. Those authors could be understood as impersonators or predecessors of the existential tendencies and it's provable Orten knew their works well (i.a. Rilke, Rimbaud, Akhmatova, Mácha, Weiner, Halas, Holan, Zahradníček, Bonn and Daniel). The second and more voluminous chapter consists of the motives' and topics' analysis of Orten's literary work, focused mainly on the poetry and less on the other literary genres - notes, letters, prose. The most of his poems and notes is based on the factual life experience and their ethos is founded on both existential and Christian moral philosophy. There's also an influence of some other intellectual tendencies and artistic styles like folk literature, romanticism, impressionism, less intensively expressionism, naturalism, psychoanalysis, surrealism and naturism. To get the coherent interpretation of Orten's work it's necessary to reflect (beside the existential motives) the pathos of the intimate traumatic relationship to the father, the girl(friend)s and the unborn child as well as the deeply Christian understanding of reality (connected with the biblical /The Old Testament/ dialogical relation to the God, the...

Light Into The Flesh / Flesh Into The Light
Babuščák, Ladislav ; Pospiszyl, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bregant, Michal (referee) ; Šimlová, Štěpánka (referee)
LIGHT INTO THE FLESH / FLESH INTO THE LIGHT explores symbols of evil, sin and redemption in the tv series and the movie Twin Peaks. It is not a critical assessment of David Lynch's body of work. Characters and their actions as well as plots are used as symbols which are then explained based on Genesis, the first book of the Old Testimony. Martin Buber's philosophical insight is also used to shed light on the subject. It is not the aim of this analysis to introduce David Lynch's work from a critical standpoint or from a standpoint of film theory. The aim is to introduce director's key theme, which is one's fight for his soul (essence) whilst facing fear, hesitation, failure but also love, faith and hope.

Realization of farm with a focus on poultry
Hromjak, Milan ; Zita, Lukáš (advisor) ; Kovářová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis deals with the origin of a family farm. By creating a business plan and issues connected with it, its priority is an organic poultry farm, which will produce poultry meat and eggs. Another service beyond the farm production will be creating conditions for a developing branch, which is agro-tourism and other services related to the operation of the farm, so that it leads to the economic development and profit. The farm will arise by rebuilding of an old house with a large barn and adjacent 10ha of lands inherited from grandparents. There will be built a multi-purpose building called the poultry farm from which the poultry will have access to pasture. The property includes another 1 ha of forest from which the wood will be used as a building material and firewood. The work is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part especially focuses on explaining the concepts that are important to understand the business plan. Then there is the legislation concerning the organic farming, a tangle of laws, public notices and regulations that must be followed in order to meet the conditions for the organic farming. An integral motivational service of the country and the European Union for farmers and not only for those who are environmentally-managing farmers, is support and grants for the years 2014 - 2020. A very important step not only for the starting farmers is a market analysis in the given branch, as well as a SWOT analysis that will show us the positive and negative aspects of the business. The conclusion of this section deals not only with the concept of agro-tourism, but also with its market position as well and possibilities of its use and further development. In the practical part there is a description of a business plan and individual periods of the project including financing. Finances will flow from own and foreign capital, or the possibility to apply for support through non-refundable grants. The establishment of the farm will have an impact on the labor market, as there will be 5 newly created jobs and the community will fit into the wider public awareness thanks to the activities that the farm will develop for the purpose of product promotion and further development. Furthermore, there are itemized individual items that lead to the final evaluation of the effectiveness of the business plan. By processing the theoretical and practical part of the thesis the requirement of the thesis objective is met - to design a prosperous family farm focused on poultry keeping with a hypothesis if it is currently possible to be competitive while importing poultry meat and eggs from abroad. It can be concluded that the business plan is viable.

The reception of Prophet Elijah by means of the Carmelitan spirituality
Kristian, David ; Mikulicová, Mlada (advisor) ; Kohut, Pavel Vojtěch (referee)
RECEPTION OF PROPHET ELIJAH BY MEANS OF CARMELITAN SPIRITUALITY Summary Prophet Elijah was active mainly in Trans-Jordan in the 9th century B.C. He lived in the time of economic, political and religious disorders in the Northern Kingdom, as the faith of Israel in God JHWH was in danger from Baal cult, promoted by the Phoenician princess Jezebel. The Old Testament, and this work, describe the following important events from Elijah's life: the prophet's hide near Kerith, his stay with the widow of Zarephath, his struggle with Baal's priests on Mount Carmel, followed by cease of a long period of draught, Elijah's journey to Mount Horeb, meeting with the Lord on the mountain, and Elijah's ride to heaven. These events are mentioned because I consider them essential for understanding the spirituality of the Carmelite Order that has Elijah for one of its models. The Carmelite Order derives its existence from a community of hermits on Mount Carmel, who saw in the prophet Elijah archetype and model for religious life, and who received their rules from Albert of Jerusalem In the first years of the 13th century. Prophet Elijah was inspiring also for great Carmelites as St. John of the Cross and St. Therese of Avila, who named Elijah Father of the Carmelites and saw in him model of contemplative prayer and following...

Narrow format at eight
Procházka, Jiří ; Daňhel, Jan (advisor) ; Čihák, Martin (referee)
The topic of my thesis is 8 mm film strip with pictures. David among Goliaths. The goal is not the rehabilitation of the smallest film material, nor is it its defense. The reason is much simpler, even selfish. I am sick. I see only pixels, mega screens, chips, noise, aliasing, blooming. I hear only bits, bytes, tera processors, encryptions, compressions. I feel cold and smell stench, I fear death. This work is my therapy. It aims to reduce mental pains from cancer inducing binary system, killing the image of light fertilized by angels. Our session consists of seven comprehensive chapters, which we experience together. Some are lectures, others require your cooperation. We meet predecessors of eight millimeter squirt, we will talk about his possibilities and limitations, we will compare him with his half-brother bastard digital. We will stretch our ears to the wisest counselors from the list of theorists and experienced practitioners. Therapeutic talk will finish with a good night story from the highly competent author. We will not unduly deal with and dissect historical dates, names or events. Facts are here distributed as silver in a sensitive emulsion. If you, inquisitive reader, find some bits and pieces attractive or interesting, pick one of the books that are listed at the end. There you can find answers to your questions. Your own search will be spiced up by more than mere list of information which I could provide you in these lines. And if that happens, my work was not in vain. Even I have walked that path, and perhaps under the influence of the smell of old books, under the weight of their yellowed pages, leather bindings with gilt letters, writings in Old Czech language, I dared to mate this language with the hairiness of my own language. Quotes are mentioned in the original version, in case I attempt a free verse, I play with words and letters, as each can play with a narrow format.
