Social services for the elderly people in the region Rakovnicko in the context of deinstitutionalization

The thesis "Social services for the elderly in Rakovnicko and the trend of de- institutionalization" is trying to describe an effort to keep the elderly people as one of the largest groups of beneficiaries of local social services as long as possible at home. Its main objective is to determine the range of social services for the elderly in Rakovnicko district and based on the research of the key stakeholders (providers and local authorities) to assess whether the offer of social services is consistent with the trend of deinstitutionalization. The work is closely related to Rakovnik district and its municipality with extended powers The theoretical part of the work is based on a theory of public policy regulators in society , the principle of subsidiarity in social services and deinstitutionalization trend in social services. The resource background includes research covering the wishes ofseniors to remain in their homes as long as possible and documents that support this trend . Financing of social care services for the elderly in the Czech Republic - current problems and challenges

The thesis "Financing of Social Care services for the Elderly in the Czech Republic - Current Problems and Challenges" deals with analysis of system of social care services for the elderly in view of the fact that the current financing form is subject to criticism for its inefficiency. The aim of this thesis is to critically reflect changes in the provision and financing of social care services for the elderly in the Czech Republic after 2007 in the context of current challenges related to long-term social care and health care. The thesis in its introduction first deals with the formulation of the research problem, deals with particular targets, research questions and the methods of data collection, which are the methods of analysis and public policy making and qualitative research methods. It also discusses the theoretical background of social services and their financing. Institutions helping the handicapped citizens in the Chomutov area

v anglickém jazyce The diploma thesis deals with the institutions offering their services to handicapped citizens in Chomutov and surroundings. Its goal is to chart this area, specifically the towns Chomutov, Jirkov, Klášterec nad Ohří and Kadaň and explain the work of the institutions, which are working with the handicapped people. It will also deal with the social services in the Czech Republic in general. There will be two research methods in the diploma thesis - investigating of the relevant internet sources and also the personal visits of the chosen institutions, observations and conversations, if their realisation is possible. The investigation's object will primarily be the operation of these institutions, financing, legislation or clients' and employees' satisfaction and so on. The thesis can well serve as a map of the institutions for the handicapped citizens for those interested in these services as well as for the public who will be interested in getting to know more about these institutions. The consequences of the social services law for financing of social services on example of the district of administration Jindřichův Hradec

The diploma thesis considered to research problem new way of financing of social services from public resources as a source of financial uncertainity of social services providers. The thesis is a case study of the district of administration of municipality with extendent competency Jindřichův Hradec and also the results are for this territory only. Most of the dates have been gathered with validity to 31.12.2009. The goal of this study was to evaluate three years of validity of the Social services law in financing of social services sphere, whereas the partial goal of this study was to find out, which changes bringed the new equal rights system of social services financing to providers of social services for seniors and handicapped persons. To recieve the goals, five reserch questions have been determinated. These questions have been managed to answered. To recieve answers for these questions was used combination of qualitative and quantitative methods and primary and secundary dates. Residents of retirements homes in region of Zlín in point of demographic view

Residents of retirements homes in region of Zlín in point of demographic view Abstract Presented work introduces the law no. 108/2006 on social services that determines retirements homes as one of the facilities providing social services. The capacity of these facilities in the Zlín region is evaluated with the help of availability indices and facility normatives. More detailed attention was drawn to an analysis of age, gender, former permanent address and dependence degree of residents in selected retirement homes. This part of the research is based on data provided by five retirement homes in Zlín region. Obtained data was evaluated with the Kaplan-Meier method in order to estimate surviving function for these clients. The resemblance was tested employing the determination of the null hypothesis by log-rank test or Wilcoxon test. Quality Standards in Social Care Sevices - The Formation Process of Written Standards in Some Organizations of Civic Sector

This graduation thesis is concerned with the topic of quality standards in social care and the formation process of writen quality standards in some organizations in the civic sector, which offer social services. The theoretical section of this thesis concerns new legal arrangement of social services, their principles and international connections; as well as standards of quality of themselves and of the different tools which are related to them, for example inspection of the quality in social services, registration of providers and education of emploees in social care services. The empirical section deals with evaluation of the research focused on the process of formatting written quality standards in organizations which were under investigation and on the presentation of obtained data which were gained, especially by observation and questionnaire inquiry in organizations.

Social Rehabilitation Services from the Perspective of their users

The master's thesis Social rehabilitation services from the users' point of view is concerned with social rehabilitation through users of the service who play an important role in its successful realization. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic issues. Development of social services in the Czech Republic and their current legislative form is described. The importance of social rehabilitation from the view of coordinated rehabilitation is explained. However, the main part is focused on particularities of social rehabilitation in the sence of social services. Current trends in social services, related especially to a planned amendment of the Social Services Act, are referred to in the end. The practical part of the thesis is written in the form of a qualitative research. The method of questioning and semi-structured interviews were used for the purposes of the research. Fourteen people were chosen intentionally for the survey. The data gained from the interviews were analysed with the method of open coding. The main aim of the thesis was to evaluate the importance of social rehabilitation in the context of abilities and skills that users of social services gained. In addition to that, social rehabilitation availability in the region of Písek was discussed. The results of the research showed interesting knowledge about meaning of service for its user. Three organizations, whose target group are people with disability, provide social rehabilitation services in the region of Písek. Obstacles connected to people's disability are the main reason for the interest in this service. The users of social services expect help and support above all, while solving their unfavourable social conditions. These may vary, so the content of social service may vary as well, and their lenght can be different across different providers. Important role in process of providing service has social worker, which leads user to social change and participates on succes of service itself. This master's thesis can be contributive to understanding the importance of social rehabilitation for disabled people's living. It brings information about users' experience with the realization of social rehabilitation services and about their satisfaction. It can also help to uncover weaknesses and obstacles during the realization of the services.
