Selection of Constitutional Justices in Czechia and Slovakia

Thesis focuses on institutional aspect of selection of constitutional judges in Czechia and in Slovakia, personal aspect of selection, i.e. identification of the groups of recruitment and requirements and qualities of the judges. Thesis also focuses on the process, i.e. procedural aspects within which the key authorities (presidents and parliaments) compare and choose individual candidates. Based on this analysis the student will identify strengths and weaknesses of both systems, which could lead to paralysis of court in question.

Dilemma of choosing the high school

The aim of this bachelor work is put on the mapping of the whole process of choosing middle education. The focus is on the level of difficulty of this process and whether there is any dilemma present. The research was performed with students of the last year of elementary school and high school students, who evaluated the whole process retrospectively and from the further distance than elementary school students. Theoretical part of the work is shortly characterizing adolescent period where the students of choosing process belong. Further on the work considers the details of this choosing process where can be found motivation factors, choosing process, occupation choice and decision dilemma. Considerable part of theoretical work is dealing with environmental determinants, which have direct impact on the students' choice. Theoretical part ends with problematic issues that can appear during choosing process. Empiric part is then based on the most important persons in making a choice, on the important units during choosing process, and how the students cope with turning to next level school. Sophie's Choice - Trauma of the Holocaust Survivor

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Holocaust trauma and its depiction in William Styron's novel Sophie's Choice. Many novelists have endeavoured to describe this phenomenon in their works of art, but most of them were confronted with a great challenge - to depict the story they didn't experience, a story of the Holocaust survivor. William Styron is one of them. Therefore it is necessary to consider how precise depiction the novelist offers to his readers. The aim of this work is to analyze Styron's novel and discover whether Sophie's choice includes an authentic depiction of the Holocaust survivor's trauma. The first chapter of the work focuses on trauma. Its aim is to define trauma and research this phenomenon in wider context. There are many psychological theories of trauma and its treatment. For the purpose of this work Jungian psychoanalytic approach has been chosen. C. G. Jung and his disciples have widely explored the inner world of patients suffering from trauma. Moreover, psychoanalysis has made great effort to describe how trauma manifests itself through archetypal imagery and symbols present in dreams and fantasies of traumatized patients. Work is introduced with a characterization of French Classical Tragedy of the 17th century and other contemporaneous dramatic production. Following brief description of historical development and connotations explains the formation of French classical dramatic norms and rules. Their appearance and assertion is consequently confirmed in an analysis of selected works of Jean Racine, major representative of French Classical Tragedy. The President of the Czech Republic

In terms of government structure, the constitutional system of the Czech Republic is based on the principles of the parliamentary form of government. That means executive powers are vested in the Government (Council of Ministers), which is accountable to the Parliament through the vote of confidence. The Head of State as a pouvoir neutre plays usually a representative and integrating role in this system. On the contrary the President lacks the political accountability and the Parliament (or another voting body) does not have any direct way of holding him accountable for his action. Except for high treason he also cannot be prosecuted for his actions during his term. The Government therefore usually influences the exercise of his powers by countersigning his acts or decisions. Nevertheless, the role of the Czech President within the constitutional system is not only ceremonial; through his powers he can also actively participate in the adoption of political decisions. He can even exercise some of his expressly granted powers not subject to approval of the Government or any other constitutional body. Legal regulation of position of a mayor of a municipality

This thesis deals with the legal of position of a mayor of a municipality. The thesis has two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history of position of the mayor, the powers, the duties, the responsibility of the mayor, the relation of the mayor with other authority of a municipality and the elaction of the mayor. The practical part has two parts: the direct election and the actual legal position of the mayor. The own resarch is based by the questionnaire and the interviews. The chapter of the election contains the proposition model of the election and the opinions of the mayors on this problems. The chapter of the actual legal position deals with the opinions of the mayors on their authority and responsibility, they have in their position. After, the results of the theoretical and practical part sum up the upshot.

Social housing, Brno

The project of social housing in Brno – city part of Malomerice, is especially aimed at Roma community as well as other families with more members. Designed objects are situated along the borders of site to create semiprivate space for playing and community action in proposed community centre. Houses are designed to accomplish owner´s demands as it creates the diversity of terraced houses. The base of every design is unit (distinguished by gable roof) with entry space, staircase, technical and hygienic core. According to wishes, there were created number and location of rooms (with mono-pitched roof). Therefore in detailed house, there are rooms for up to 10 people with open kitchen and living room. Within the incorporation of minority community to society and improvement of their starting position in labour market it is taking into account with construction of dwellings by their owners with supervision under experienced craftsmen. Due to their simplicity and availability as main material for construction were chosen aerated concrete blocks YTONG. Façade is mostly made of basic white plaster with ability of choosing the colour in part with gabled roof.

Women in the middle age and in the age of the late adulthood, who were not successful in the effort to have a child.

Bachelor´s work deals with women who are in the age of 38 years old and more who have not got any children nevertheless they always wanted to have some children during their life but they posponed their decision to found the family until the middle age of their life. Some of them have still desire to have their own children and the others are gradually coming to terms with the fact that they will be probably childless. My work will be focused on their life circumstances which did not allow them to found the family. My work will be targeting to founding out some women´s attitudes to parenthood. Then I will also try to describe the demanding situation of the women, who are coming to term with the fact that they will not have a child. The work is divided into the theoratical and practical part. The theoretical part is about the psyche of the women link between some disordres of the infertility, then it is focused on responsible planning of the parenthood, on motivation of parenthood, on the problem of the induced abortion and it is also focused on the possibillity of the arteficial fertilization and adoption. Finally this part is dealing about the change of the life in the family which is in the narrow connection with the phenomenon of singles. After that I will mention the life of women without any children. Practical part is dedicated to qualitative research which is founded on five halfstructured interviewes with the women who are in the age of 38 years old and more who are childless. Then I will use the psychodiagnostic test as a projectative method of research-Chromatic associational experiment from Doc. PhDr. Vadima Ščepichina CSc. My research´s aim is to catch the difficult and demanding situation of the women, who were not succesfull in their effort to be pregnant. The other aim is to found out the causes which lead the women to postpone their decision to found the family until the middle age of their life. What factors influence women to become a parent. Then I would try to find out the role of the stress in the process of the conception and how the women are coping with possible failure to be pregnant.
