Novotná, Markéta ; Kyselka,, Mojmír (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
The final thesis is focused on a design of architectural study of a Faculty of fine arts on the area, which is located on a border of two Brno districts Veveří and Žabovřesky. The chosen area is determined by Šumavská Street, Bulínova Street, and Veveří Street. The design follows an already processed part of the project from the first semester in the subject TG02. It is focused on the layout of the buildings in the area and the design of architectonical study for three out of four units – the Faculty of Forensic Engineering, common premises of both faculties and underground garages. The fourth unit, which is the Faculty of Fine Arts, is designed in the second phase as the final thesis. Other units are developed together with the design of the second faculty. The architectonical concept follows the city structure in the nearest surroundings. The main idea was to create a cluster of buildings which respects a human scale, not to create a long endless facades and gigantic masses of buildings. The solution is two L-shaped buildings, which grip the building of common premises. It creates a lot of semipublic and public spaces with a great variety of various functions.

Ravčuková, Markéta ; Glosová,, Dagmar (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is to revitalise of one city block and to maximise of its utilisation with combination of many different functions on this concrete area. This work is based on pre-diploma project in previous semester. This project ensures many possible functions for the inhebitants and also reflects natural differentiation between privat and public usage with impact on high quality of living space and appropriate public transport. Designed build-up area is situated betveen Veveri, Kounicova and Pekarenska streets in Brno. Patterns of this area are essential for the treatment of this project when both diagonaly and verticaly crosses whole area. Substance and space treatment reflects nearby structures and is naturally connected to it. Main substance of object is divided to three blocks via communications which crosses the area. Innerblock is sedated with green vegetation, connected to transit parter with shops and services. On the parters roof there is green walk-designed cover for inhabitants and after there are higher houses. Whole building complex is closed with rambling fractional roof covers with terraces of storeyed flats. This space structure is horizontally divided by its functions. In this project there are underground garages, shops and services, administrative spaces and space for rent and mostly flats for living. Fundamental look of the building is created by external rendering covering most of building which is connected to nearby structures. Shopping mall and separate blocks and also entrances to buildings and terraces/balcony are formed by taking off the substance by which leads to its fractionalism.

Viladům Masarykova quarter - Brno
Bajgarová, Karolína ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The basis of this bachelor´s thesis is the architectural study elaborated in subject AG032. This study is elaborated into the Documentation for Building Permit and subsequently in the Documentation for Construction Execution. The topic of the thesis is the Viladům in the Masaryk´s quarter in Brno. The proposed building is located in the city district of Brno - Central in the cadastral area Stránice. The solved plot is situated in a residential villa of Masaryk´s quarter. The area is sloping and offers a view of Brno. On the site there is currently a dilapidated family house with a series of poor quality construction interventions and a separate garage on the border of the land. The topic of the assignment was the design of an above-standard apartment building on the corner of streets Roubalova and Helceletova. The aim of my work was to propose an architectural study that addresses spatial and mass connection to the existing building structure of the site. Functional filling is housing in 4 apartments of which one is duplex. It also offers cellars to each apartment, common household equipment and ample parking spaces in the garage. All apartments are luxurious, spacious with superior amenities. The building has 4 aboveground and 1 underground floor. The roof is flat and the fourth floor is retreated from all sides. The main entrance is oriented to the north and the entrance to the garage is oriented to the east of the adjacent road. There is a green area around the house. The structure is a block of 12.6 m high. The windows are designed for the whole floor height, because in the Masaryk´s quarter there are mainly vertical windows. There is used a horizontal divider showing the cornice on the facade. The receding last floor shows the sloping roof that is used in this quarter. Used material, the shapes and dimensions of the filling of holes and the division of the facade does not disturb the architectural character of the surroundings.
Inovative centre STU Bratislava
Dolníková, Denisa ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the design of the STU Innovation Center in Bratislava. The project is based on the architectural study of the subject AG033-Atelier of architectural creation 3 and the construction study of the subject AG036 Complex project. The area of the inner block is currently visually chaotic and underutilized. The goal of the design is to create a valuable space for students, employees and the public on the campus and therefore make it more accessible to the wider community. An essential part was the connection of the inner block with the surrounding environment. The designed building contains three above-ground floors and underground garages. The mass of the object can be divided into two parts - the part with heavy laboratories and above-ground laboratories, which is rectangular and the other slanting part with spaces for students and public. The first and second above-ground floors contain an open gallery and multi-purpose spaces. The open and airy space, not only adds the representativeness of the whole design but also provides an opportunity for short-term rest. The third above-ground floor is mainly designated to accomodate start-up offices and the rectorate. The external appearance of the object is designed with clean and simple lines in mind. The glazed parts of the building are shielded with a white aluminum perforated sheetmetal. Other parts of the facade are covered in smooth white plaster. The entire expression of the object is therefore characterized by the timelessness that the Innovation Center demands. The surroundings of the building are functionally designed for the rest and free movement of students. There is plenty of greenery and places for rest, or various events of STU faculties.
Multifunctional Building Křenová
Uhrová, Veronika ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Hradil, Dušan (advisor)
The polyfunctional building is designed on a corner plot which original use was as a parking area among Streets Křenová, Vlhká, Skořepka and planned city avenue. This proposal is based on the idea of two main functions, two different designs of buildings – housing, administration. The intended object would interconnect in the middle and thereby create a coherent entity. On the south side near Křenová Street, there is building with administrative and cultural functions located, thus creating sound barrier for the inner courtyard. In the second follow-up residential wing on the upper floors there are premises designated for residential units of various sizes and types, in lower floors premises for services. In the connecting part of these two buildings there are maisonettes and places for rent with wide use. The three floor underground garages, that meet demanded capacity, are designed under this plot.
