Rendering "Small" Plants in 3D Space
Řehánek, Jiří ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This masters thesis deals with a real-time low vegetation rendering in 3D space. The low vegetation means grass and shrub. At first it looks on a implementation of vegetation in a 3D games that already exist and there investigate characteristics notable while playing and after that it comes to a evaluation of visual qualities. As next will follow design of solution of this problems and description of implementation. In final part will be summary of achieved product.
Culture and public centre Brno-damlake/Theme"Brno-city in the midle of the Europe"/
Mikulka, Petr ; Žalmanová,, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The theme of Master Thesis is the Brno dam and its effective utilization. The very subject of this thesis is the Cultural and Social Center (the Center). The project follows a broad urban context and provides a new insight into the operation and use of this site. It contains a proposal of movement coordination and effective utilization of the most attractive areas closely related to the water surface. Cultural and Social Center is designed as a part of the landscape. It connects two levels of trails leading around the object. This connection is expressed through the dominant stairs. The program of the Center complements and evaluates leisure activities of the site, plus the Center offers an extraordinary space. Digital RGB spectrum system senses the current weather and converts the results into a graphic and scenic projection. Thanks to this system a new concept of space is continuously formed. The atmosphere, temperature, texture, intensity etc.. The visitor thus will never be a part of the same "exhibition." The first floor, (level +0,00m) around the water surface, is preferably used as a Cultural and Social Center. It has three naves of the Center, foyer with cafe and snacks, as well as it covers a DPMB building of cabeling. Few parts of the facade are designed as a sliding facade, thus visitors could stay in direct contact with the water surface and landscape. Second floor – (level +3,50m) is an spatial continuation on the Center and the rest is mostly used for technical security of the building. In foyer there is a second part of cafe – more private and relaxing room. Third floor (level +7,00m) is connected with the trail going around the building. At this level takes place leisure and educational center, which is complemented by the multifunction hall and an administrative facilities. The idea of landscape use is to provide an outdoor sports urban park a la Miralles urban parks.
Mathematical simulation of temperature profile in the subsoil and creation of a model corresponding its real state
Charvátová, Pavlína ; Katunský,, Dušan (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (referee) ; Čupr, Karel (advisor)
Increasing demands for low heat losses and energy intensity of a building influence energy calculations. Higher demands are placed on the accuracy of the calculations. An important part of the thermal engineering calculations is the determination of the correct boundary conditions. An important input factor is primarily the indoor and outdoor environment, and temperature is the most important parameter for these types of enviromnent. It is not always the temperature of the external environment, but the environment that is adjacent to the soil or to unheated or differently heated spaces. The possibilities of modeling temperatures below the object are described in the standard ČSN EN ISO 10211. This standard specifies details for a geometric model for the numerical calculation of heat flows to assess the total heat loss of buildings or parts thereof, as well as to derive linear and point heat transfer factors. Furthermore, to calculate minimum surface temperatures to assess the risk of surface condensation and to determine the surface temperature factors. These are two different computational models. Therefore, it would be appropriate to simplify these calculations by simplifying the boundary conditions, namely to conduct an isotherm at a certain level below the terrain, which will be considered as a boundary condition, which is also based on long-term experience with "frost-free" depth. This calculation would be unambiguous, clear and simple.
Realistic Visualization of 3D Landscape
Wilczák, Martin ; Bartoň, Radek (referee) ; Mikolov, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis analyses and describes different methods used for realistic visualization of 3D landscape in real-time. In this case, landscape means terrain, sky, atmosferic effects, water areas and vegetation. For each part there are several methods, whose pros and cons are considered in following work. Afterwards there is description of designed program, which allows visualization of terrain and sky using suitable methods. Libraries SDL and OpenGL are used for rendering.
3D Automobile Racing Simulator
Kantor, Roman ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Mikolov, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with several methods of computer games creation. I mean especially games which simulate fully dimensional car races, two-player races concretely. There are various methods of solution of the problems, that creation of such games meets, analyzed. Sequentially, the programme that simulates races mentioned above is described. The program practically uses some of the described methods, as well as the grafic library OpenGL.
Detached House with Hairdressing Saloon
Janečková, Magdaléna ; Matoušková, Ilona (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design documentation of a detached house with the hairdressing saloon, which is designed as a two-floor, partially with the basement. In the basement, there is the technical background of the house, storage rooms and laundry room. On the first floor, there is the hairdressing saloon, as well as a garage and other living rooms. The second floor is used only for residential purposes. The building is designed as a stand-alone house on a flat terrain. The roof is designed as a pent roof with two planes.
WATER+TOWN MARINA BRUNENSIS
Bělunková, Barbora ; Navrkal, Martin (referee) ; Poslušná, Iva (advisor)
The plot is 9 houses designed with different functions. The main function of the home storage vessels. Other additional functions are a café, gym, spa, garage, car, boat garage, offices, locker rooms and club athletes.Houses are made of glued trusses shaped house with a gable roof. The facade is composed of titanium zinc surface. The glass facade is just in front of a house. The houses are oriented differently. Shielding is provided by means of sliding shutters.
Interactive 3D Terrain Editor
Synáček, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (advisor)
The subject matter of this work is a concept of an interactive 3D terrain editor. Its basic functionality, graphical user interface and possible extensions are defined. There are a lot of existing terrain editing tools, therefore presentation of some existing systems capable of editing and generating computer terrain is also included. The editor is implemented and it is capable of performing simple editing, such as raising, lowering or levelling the terrain. Graphical user interface is also a part of the implementation. The editor allows inserting 3D models into the scene so it was easier to represent some objects displayed only in the texture in 3D space. Models can be edited using some simple transformations. Performance tests are undertaken and possibilities of extending the program discussed.
HST Station at the Airport Brno Tuřany
Kuchtík, Pavel ; Ruller, Ivan (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
This diploma thesis was prepared as an architectural study. The subject of the proposal was design of VRT station in Brno-Tuřany, near Brno airport. It was designed station building with platforms and four tracks. Two of them are passable and the other two are stationary. Rails leads below ground level. Above the rails is rail station that connect both areas next the rail corridor. Railway station serves primarily to transfer between rail and air transport.
Realistic Visualization of Environment in Computer Games
Jozefov, David ; Bartoň, Radek (referee) ; Mikolov, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis shows the basics of landscape rendering in computer games. It explains fundamental principles of computer graphics creation and implementation of the three parts of the landscape - terrain, water surface and the sky. In more detail it describes Brute force and ROAM algorithms for terrain rendering and compares the achieved results of the both of them.
