The current status of social bookmarking tools
Sion, František ; Papík, Richard (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to characterise and on basic level analyse current social bookmarking tools. The first chapter offers a definition of social bookmarking which is represented by three axes: URL, user, tags. URL has a key role. A subcategory called social news exists, in its case time in which a resource represented by the URL is shared makes an important factor. Social bookmarking is introduced as a helpful tool for a user's work. It has two aspects: effective organisation of user bookmarks and social environment which allows for discovery of useful resources. The second chapter focuses on history of bookmarks, history of social bookmarking and describes options for connection of social bookmarking tools to related tools. The third chapter describes function of social bookmarking tools, specifically the characteristics of users and communities. The fourth chapter compares Delicious, reddit, Diigo and Pinboard tools and analyses Delicious and reddit. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Shared Personal Knowledge Database
Folk, Michal ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Knap, Tomáš (referee)
The goal of the paper is to suggest a solution of an inefficiency in searching for previously searched and found information. The suggested solution is based on the use of a personal knowledge base built upon existing technologies and adapted to needs of common users. The thesis is focused especially to the search based on semantic similarities between tags. Collective knowledge is used for finding the similarities. The first part of the paper introduces the repetitive search problem by a few real world scenarios. In the second part the problem is analyzed from the personal knowledge base point of view. The third part explains the suggested solution that is built upon Delicious, a bookmarking service and DBpedia. The suggested solution is implemented as a prototype. In the final part the prototype is tested and evaluated. The test results suggest that the presented solution can make the repetitive search easier, but at the same time it exposes some performance issues that the proposed method brings up. The paper recommends modifications that could improve the performance and allow more extensive prototype testing. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Recognition of persons clothing in the video signal
Mlýnková, Barbora ; Kříž, Petr (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
This paper is dealing with the detection clothes characteristics in the picture, for the use of person identification. These characteristics are described and categorized. It also deals with the design of the database structure, which works with masks and categories of characteristics for their processing. This work uses haar cascades to detect face and to determine the position of clothing for the purpose of color detection
Database of non-biometric and soft biometric human traits
Mlýnková, Barbora ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Dvořák, Pavel (advisor)
This paper is dealing with the detection of secondary biometric and nonbiometric characteristics in the picture, for the use of person identification. These characteristics are described and categorized. It also deals with the design of the database structure, which works with masks and categories of characteristics for their processing. This work might be practically used for machine learning.
Analysis of wireless environment using the Ekahau system and the possibilities of cooperation with other systems
Tinka, Zdeněk ; Bartl, Milan (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The work is divided into two parts. Firts of all deals with surveying and analysis of wireless environment. It contains familiar with analysator Ekahau Site Survey. Below are implementation of the map and then surveying of quality of networks. Finally describes the evaluation results and optimization of networks. The second part describes the localization of objects by AeroScout system using a wireless environment. It occurs in the theoretical description of the topology and equipment necessary for proper operation and practical work progress and evaluate the second part.
Tool for Designing the NCF Tags on Android
Černý, Tomáš ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis follows up a wireless technology called NFC, its support on the Android and its use in practice. It describes the design and implementation of the application, which is able to handle own NFC tags, including their creating, editing, erasing and interpretation. The real use of NFC tags consists in speed-up and automation of common tasks and actions, which we often do on Android-powered mobile device. It could be for example: changing of settings, changing of ring profile, controlling hardware, launching applications, initializing a call, sending messages and so on.
Recognition of Handwritten Digits
Dobrovolný, Martin ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Recognition of handwritten digits is one of computer vision problematics that can not be solved with 100 % success these days. This document describes a method for handwritten digits recognizing based on shape features and randomized tree classifiers. These methods are known for their long time machine learning and quick characters recognizing. This method is due to use of relative angles among key locations and is nearly invariant to substantial affine and nonlinear deformations.
Improved Prediction of Social Tags Using Data Mining
Harár, Pavol ; Galáž, Zoltán (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with using Text mining as a method to predict tags of articles. It describes the iterative way of handling big data files, parsing the data, cleaning the data and scoring of terms in article using TF-IDF. It describes in detail the flow of program written in programming language Python 3.4.3. The result of processing more than 1 million articles from Wikipedia database is a dictionary of English terms. By using this dictionary one is capable of determining the most important terms from article in corpus of articles. Relevancy of consequent tags proves the method used in this case.
Implementation of Google Tag Manager
Kumsta, Tomáš ; Hradil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explain advantages of using Tag Management systems on webpages. This thesis compares different systems and advantages and disadvantages of their functionality and usability. Based on this comparison reasons for popularity of Google Tag Manager are found and its implementation is shown. It is used in praxis to implement different tracking, remarketing and other codes, which can be used by a website operator to implement these codes without changing the source code of the website itself. The thesis contains complete implementation of Google Analytics tracking code and Google Ad-words remarketing code in Google Tag Manager. The example of implementation and settings of this system is done to benefit a real Internet business.
Using social applications in business environment
Holásek, Jakub ; Feuerlicht, Jiří (advisor) ; Burkoň, Lukáš (referee)
This thesis is focused on using social applications from practical point of view in a real business environment. In fact, it is focused more on using them than dealing with hypothesis. There are two main objectives covering developing social application add-on and implementation of another type of social application in a company. The first objective is to develop social system, which provides functionality to fulfill team agenda for most of teams created within of scope on University of Economics. The second main objective is to describe important aspects of implementation Wiki system to one of departments in CSOB Company, the Bikipedia Project.
