The thesis focuses on human resources management specifically individual area of personnel activity and their approach in a firm. The first part of this work is focused on theoretical outcome and their precise limitation of the topic. In the second part, there is an analysis of human resources management in a particular firm. At the end of this dissertation there are formulated specific proposals and recommendations for a given corporation.The changes are with regards to personal management, which are based from the practical survey founded on the theoretical findings. All recommendations and suggestions were set in accordance with current state of the company.

This diploma thesis is focused on human resources (HR), defines specific areas of personnel management and HR activities. The first part is devoted to the theoretical background in human resources, to define more precisely personnel activities including sub – areas. The second part of the thesis analyses the current state of personnel management in the specific company. In the final part are defined specific recommendations for personnel management in the company. These recommendations are formulated in accordance with the company’s current situation.

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to analyse and evaluate the current state of human resource management in the selected company. The thesis is intended on the process of creation and analysis of jobs, human resource planning, recruitment and selection of employees, management and work performance. The most relevant target is to describe various possible methods and approaches to selected personal activities and to compare them with the procedures described in the professional literature. Subsequently, there was presented the selected company HEYCO WERK ČR s.r.o. as a whole and a more thorough analysis of the above mentioned processes within the company was carried out. To assess the current situation, the questionnaire was prepared, interview with the owner and study materials provided. And then to recommend some measures improving the existing running of the company.

This Bachelor´s thesis is dealing with analyse of the recruitment and selection process in Czech Airlines, a.s. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes background information and clarification of general terminology in areas of personal activities, planning, recruitment and selection of employees. The practical part is focused on introduction of the company, description of the process of recruitment and selection of employees within the company. The aim of this thesis is to identify strengths and weaknesses of the company in areas of personal activities. This part is based on the use of following methods: interview with HR manger, survey and analysis of the internal materials. The contributions of the thesis are suggestions for improvement of recruitment processes and their efficiency.

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the recruitment process and selection of employees at ExxonMobil Business Support Center, identify its strengths and weaknesses and recommend actions to improve its efficiency. The theoretical part of this thesis defines basic terms and activities connected to the area of recruitment and selection of employees, including its historical evolution. The practical part analyses the recruitment process and selection of employees at ExxonMobil Business Support Center using the results of the own questionnaire that was distributed to the employees that had participated in this process. Based on the identification of strengths and weakness of this system, there are proposed several recommendations in order to increase its effectiveness and satisfaction of candidates that is connected to it.

The first part, theory, begins with job analysis. Then searching for applicants and selection of the employees follows. The key topic of the study is focused on the most frequent method of the employee selection - job interview. The advantages of this method are the possibility to assess the applicant's personality more thoroughly and also to check and supplement the information gained by other selection methods. On the other hand some of the disadvantages are the tendency to subjective assessment and the fact that the interview is comparatively time-consuming. In any case the job interview should be also done according to the ethic principles. There are a lot of types of the interview. Interviews differ for example by structure, by the number of applicants or by the formulation and purpose of the questions used during the interview. Each interview consists of the three following parts: preparation, course and evaluation. The practice reveals that the selection process is influenced not only by the setting of the personnel processes but also by the personal approach and expertise of the evaluators. The second part consists of the research and its interpretation. The aim of the thesis is to analyze personnel activities of employee recruitment and selection in Mafra, a.s. company and propose recommendations to enhance effectiveness of these activities. The theoretical part defines the theoretical basis of personal work, personal activities of recruitment and selection of employees and the profile of the modern recruiter. The practical part contains analysis of the activities of recruitment and selection of employees, own research conducted in the form of a questionnaire and an interview with company recruiter. In the last section recommendations to increase the effectiveness of personnel activities are designed based on the analysis and research.
