Self-sufficiency and self-care when applying myoprothesis

Title: Self-sufficiency and self-care when applying myoprothesis Objectives: The main objective of this work is to present the theoretical summary of the amputation problematic, followed by the further prosthetic usage of myoprothesis and the principles of controlling the myoprothesis. Key is the methodical process of learning how to use myoprothesis, in terms of own self- sufficiency and self-care in the daily activities. Methods: I used the method of literary research in this work. I drew upon the knowledge gained throughout the study of available Czech and foreign technical literature, from internet sources and materials obtained in prosthetic companies, which I visited during my practical internships, mainly through the personal interviews and consultations with prosthetists and ergotherapists. Ranoe of conprehensive care of Children with multiple disabilities in the educational process

The present paper thematizes the complex care for children with multiple disability whitin the educating proces. The theoretical part discusses following subthemes: multiple disability from the point of view of school education, mealtime skills, self-care skills, typical problems within these areas and possible intervention. The practical part maps sklills of the children with multiple disability within these key areas.
Maturity to kindergarten entrance

The purpose of this study is to analyse the level of maturity of children older than two years in the context of their potential integration in the public preschool education system before they reach the age of three years. The first chapter discusses the opinion of the EU Council of the preschool education, its ambition to promote the institutional care in line with the equal opportunities for men and women policy, and the situation in EU member states as regards meeting the 2002 Barcelona goals. The second chapter describes the current legislative and institutional framework in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the applicable legislation, namely the Parental Subsidy Act as amended, and the existing framework of the institutional care in question. The key focus of the third chapter is on children and their needs. The third chapter elaborates on various factors influencing their development such as family situation, age and other individual particularities. The last chapter of the theoretical part is on maturity of a child younger than three years from the point of view of the developmental psychology. Benefits of nursery school for Children with autism spectrum disorder in sel-care

The bachelor thesis concerns benefits of a nursery school for children with autistic spectrum disorder with focus on development of self-care. The thesis concentrates on characteristics of autistic spectrum disorders and it's interconnection with practical aspects of developing self-care skills in a nursery school. Individual chapters describe the definition, diagnostics and related triad of problem areas, the spectrum of individual autistic disorders and the most frequently used methods and strategies of training and education of childrenwith autistic spectrum disorders. The second part of the thesis provides space for individual areas of self-care, cultivated in the nursery school. Individual chapters demonstrate detailed descriptions of practising self-care habits and skills, applied in daily routines of the nursery school. The thesis bases on published works in the area of autistic spectrum, as well as on practical experience of the author, obtained in several years of practice as a teacher in a special class for children with autistic spectrum disorders in a nursery school. Rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care

Following batchelor´s thesis focuses on rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care and it is divided into two parts. In a theory part of the thesis elementary terms such as rehabilitation, nursing, and department after-care are briefly described. Close attention is paid to rehab treatment elements carried out within the frame of rehabilitative nursing. Individual elements are described in detail in individual chapters. The end of the theory part focuses on the issue of immobilization and on immobilizing syndrome. The practical part describes experimental research leading to verification of defined hypothesis. A quantitative method aided by questionnaire technique was used for the research. This research was carried out with nurses in department after-care in following hospitals: Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s.; Nemocnice Prachatice a.s.; Nemocnice Český Krumlov, a.s. where 120 questionnaires were held out with 83,3% questionnaires returned. 100 questionnaires, made 100% were used for the final research. The aim of this thesis was to find out what rehab treatment elements are applied with patients in department after-care. The other aim was to verify knowledge of nurses in rehab care. To set targets hypothesis H1, H2 and H3 were made. H1: Nurses in department after-care apply especially elements of positioning. H1 was proved. H2: Nurses in department after-care more frequetly practice self service and self sufficiency with patients rather than practicing motoric skills. H2 was not proved. H3: Nurses have got the knowledge of rehab care. H3 was proved. Findings of this thesis will be provided to management of Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. who may use it as a base for lecture for nurses from department after- care. As a part of this lecture a practical illustration of individual rehab care elements would be appropriate to demonstrate. Hospital management will hereby support improval of quality of provided care in department after-care and also will support the nurses in this field.
