Heger, Tomáš ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Busta, Jan (referee)
Title: Relationship between level of imagination and performance in wild water slalom. Tasks: The main task of this work is to assess the existence of a dependence between the duration of the imagination of performance and performance itself. Furthermore, to find out which of the two ways of imagination is more accurate for the imagination in water slalom. The first way is the imagination without movement. Proband imagines the track at rest without moving. The second way is the imagination associated with movement. Here, the proband combines the idea with paddling on flat water. Techniques: Predictive correlation research method. We compared the results using correlation analysis. Results: The results from the model training in Prague Troja were processed using basic descriptive statistics and to determine the relationship between the imagination and the performance of the competitor by correlation analysis using Spearman's correlation coefficient. The statistically significant dependence (rs = -0.280, resp. rs = -0.183) between the times of imagination and the times of real rides was not proved for the set of competitors in the C1 men category (N = 9). The average time difference between imagination without movement and real run was 9.45 s. The average time difference between imagination...
The case of Rousseau: Formation of an existence
Kojanová, Anna ; Fulka, Josef (advisor) ; Chavalka, Jakub (referee)
This diploma thesis is based on the final works of Michel Foucault (Courage of truth, Fearless peech) and it focuses on how the truth and truth-telling as an activity effects self- formation of the individual, namely self-formation of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which is recorded in his autobiografical works (Confession of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Dialoges: Rousseau, Judge of Jean-Jacques, Reveries of a Solitery Walker). In my thesis, I have tried to decide as which true-telling person he could be considered (prophet, sage, teacher, parrhesiastes or cynic). In order to achieve that, I drew from his other philosophical works and secondary literature (Discurses, Essay on the Origin of languages, Emile or On Education, The Social Contract, Letter to M. D'Alembert on Spectacles, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Transparency and Obstruction) and I was looking for evidence of his true nature and thoughts, which I put into context of his work Confessions afterwards. Keywords: Truth, courage of truth, parrhesia, parrhesiastes, cynic, self-love, false meaning about oneself, heart, passion, imagination, human nature, social inequalities.

How children tell stories - the process of storytelling
ŠIMKOVÁ, Marie
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the structure and development of storytelling. Creativity, as well as imagination, are integral to the storytelling because they play an important role with regard to the progress of the story. Creativity is presented as the newly created words, which do not exist in the Czech language at all, whereas Natálka´s imagination enables her to include the dark elements, such as crushing the rats. In the thesis, I apply the method of Conversation Analysis to the examination of the transcribed audio recordings that were made during the interaction between me and Natálka.
Understatement during forming a dramatic figure
Kučera, Jáchym ; KORČÁK, Jakub (advisor) ; SCHEJBAL, Milan (referee)
Goal of my thesis is to find a balance between inner and outer diskurse during forming a dramatic figure. Is it possible to stand during forming a dramatic figure only on pedestal of outer acting without an inner contribution? How complicated is to distinguish between succesful pretending and being on stage as an individual actor/figure. But what is the magic? Why we are satisfied only by viewing and listennig actors from outer perspective? These are questions. I am asking myself during whole thesis. I am finding the answers using my experiences gained during my last year when have created several dramatic figures on stage in Disk theatre, the last place when I could feel protected from outer theatre space. Keywords: Inner, outer, understatemant, forming, mask, mustre, charakter, acting

Mircea Eliade - Narrator - Initiator. The Initiation Dimension of His Fantastic Prose
Mikulová, Tamara ; Valentová, Libuše (advisor) ; Šrámek, Jiří (referee) ; Vajdová, Libuša (referee)
Our work is devoted to the Romanian philosopher and author of fantastic prose, Mircea Eliade. The unique feature of his fiction lies in the narrative building upon the initiating structure, and reflecting the mythological consciousness, which is perceived by the author as a means of escaping historical relativism. In order to analyse his work we applied the hermeneutic approach, which is in our view best suited for interpretation of Eliade's prose. The hermeneutic approach shows that the author-narrator assumes the function of a religious initiator, who is in possession of a vision of the world and conveys it to his readers. The initiated author can see a different world, a possible world that surpasses the material one, and he is able to bring this vision, inexpressible by words, to the reader. Thus, the process of reading and analysing such a text then turns into gradual initiation into the secrets of existence through its esoteric dimension. Eliade's aim in his fantastic prose is to show that even in the desecrated world the sacred is hidden anywhere and a man is still able to reveal it anytime. Key words: Eliade, initiation, narrator, symbol, sense, hermeneutics, imagination, inner and outer face of literature, sacred, profane, reality, death initiation, dramatic performance, salvation,...
