Temperature control in a home smokehouse

This thesis deals with conversion of a home smokehouse with manual temperature control into a smokehouse with automatic temperature control. The thesis contains theoretical treatise on thermometers used for automatization. This part is followed by a practical part where is description of the smokehouse before automatic temperature control and a description of the smoke after installation of necessary parts to allow automatization of temperature control. In this practical part there also is a guide on how to work in Mosaic development environment created by Czech company Teco a.s. The result of this thesis is a functional prototype of a home smokehouse with automatic temperature control. The control program of this smokehouse with automatic temperature control can switch between two ways of temperature control (two-position control and continuous control) and web application located in local network shows valuable information about the temperature. Thesis contains described graphs of practical test of temperature control. Furthermore, the practical part notes important discoveries about automatic temperature control in the home smokehouse.

The sarcophagus of Tomaš Špidlík in Velehrad in the wider spiritual and artistic context of Centro Aletti in Rome.

This thesis deals with the modern sarcophagus designed for cardinal Tomáš Špidlík SJ (1919- 2010), located in the basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saints Cyril and Methodius in Velehrad. The sarcophagus was created in the Atelier of Liturgical art of Centro Aletti in Rome in 2010. The main target of the thesis is to put in the creation and emplacement of the masterpiece into the wider spiritual and artistic context. In order to introduce the Centro Aletti's liturgical art, it is important to focus on Špidlik's thoughts about art on theological background. His theological direction and spiritual guidance were a resource for a painter and jesuit Marko Ivan Rupnik (*1954) and Špidlik's disciple and the head of Centro Aletti in Rome. A significant part of the work is focused on the emplacement of the sarcophagus in the basilica of Velehrad, famous for the cult of saints Cyril and Methodius. The main part of the thesis deals with the formal analysis and iconographic interpretation of the topics depicted on the sides of the sarcophagus from a methodological point of view. This also applies to other attached pieces of art as the bronze inscription on the lid by the sculptor Otmar Oliva (*1952) and the panel with Špidlik's motto, which is to be found behind the sarcophagus....

Technological Development of the Mosaic Craft

Mosaic has peculiar status in art across thousands of years. Since antiquility when mosaic governed entire Mediterranean, it stood to be an active art expression till nowadays, even despite it's demandigness and costingness - not only abroad but also at our territory. So it went through the period of decrement and "degradation" of it's own technique due to increasing favour of painting in the Renaissance and lived to see it's follow-up boom in 19th century. The thesis marks geografical expansion inlay art from it's roots till the modern age and it's influence on the technique developement. Historical part is more extensive because it has not been documented more detailed so far, which it definately is worthy to be. Thanks to Viktor Foester, the inlay art was reset at the beggining of the 20th century when he and two Italian workers founded a mosaic fitting-room. The fitting-room followed a trend of establishing inlay fitting-room in other states of Europe apart from Italy on the beggining of 18th century. Although the fitting-room died out after Foester's wife death, it gave chance to the origin of Czech mosaic art which persists till nowadays. Effective management of building technologies with a focus on measuring humidity and CO2 concentration

The diploma thesis deals with automated measurement of humidity and CO2 concentration inside buildings. Results of this measurement form the input parameters for the effective management of technologies reducing the energy performance of buildings. In the introduction, the issue of indoor air quality of buildings and indicators characterizing this quality are approached. The technical part of the thesis consists of making a measuring device which contains two prototype sensors provided by Teco Inc. with online access to measured data. The measurement of relative humidity, CO2 concentration and temperature in the interior of the building with the made device is compared with commercially available devices for measuring selected parameters. For unambiguous interpretation of online data, the virtual machine with an online database is configured for the created measuring device. The possibilities of using the prepared measuring device to achieve a reduction in the energy performance of buildings are discussed in the final part.

Scientific report. Large-area X-ray scan of a mosaic with high resolution

The aim of the research is to make an X-ray scan of a mosaic, which thanks to a high resolution could reveal structural details in the mosaik construction, as armature, cracks etc. The investigated object as a mosaic of St. Family from the Liberec region. The size of the mosaic is 1200 x 700 x 30 mm and its weight is about 50 kg. The mosaic itself is mounted into a metal frame. The substrate of the tesserae is a cement-based material.

RAKO, Jano Koehler and the way of the cross on Svatý Hostýn

The bachelor thesis will focus on the way of the cross on Svatý Hostýn made by RAKO company and designed by Jano Koehler. The author will present a mosaic art in general, the RAKO company and its influence on Czech art culture and Jano Koehler's personality and work. In the core part of thesis, the author will carry out with technological, formal and iconographic analysis of the individual stations of the way of the cross. Another works made in a ceramic mosaic created within a time before or after Svaty Hostyn cycle will be included in next chapters. Furthermore, the author will deal with the problematic of historical preservation and the previous experience with restoration works made up to now. An attachment of visuals will be a part of thesis. Control of emergency lighting by Foxtrot system

This work is about control of emergency lighting, standards and requirements for their operation and installation. Requirements for operation and safety of emergency lighting by valid standards are mentioned same as requirements for construction, installation and checking. Control of emergency lighting is realized by Foxtrot system. There are listed its properties, each part of the system, possibilities of installation and connection of systems modules and parts. Mentioned are also other ways of systems control of emergency lighting and specific examples of systems used by developers of lighting systems.

Creation of Documentation for construction with design of control and visualisation for luxury house

The thesis deals with an intelligent wiring including a control and visualization design for a family house. The goal of the thesis is to create a project of a high and a low voltage wiring for a family house including a design of an intelligent wiring. The thesis introduction describes an intelligent wiring and a comparison with a classic wiring. The next two chapters deal with the most used systems and a detailed description of the selected system Foxtrot. The chapter number 5 addresses the project documentation creation for a high and a low voltage wiring. A performance calculation of a heat pump used for heating is described in the following chapter. The functional program for control and visualization of heating, lighting, shading and security is described at the end of the thesis.

Earl christianity and vizualization trinity of Got

Though the trinitarian iconography is fairly easy to understand, it remains with many of the 4th and 5th century works it is unclear and difficult to explain. In the literature of the last century, we often encounter ideas that have been absorbed in older works and subsequently only mechanically repeated in subsequent works. Such a way of interpreting can lead to controversial iconographic analyzes in order to focus in a trinitarian way and to attempt in a tricky way to explain the iconography of "non-trivial" artefacts. This diploma thesis attempts to open a difficult question of the origin, development and interaction of individual types of symbols representing the Trinity. The aim of this work is to mark the effort of a complex view, which will try, especially with similar motives and symbols, to lead to a more precise interpretation and classification within the framework of trinitarian iconography. The main aim of this diploma thesis is the effort of theological, artistic, historical and philosophical grasp of the issue of the image of God in the first millennium of the Christian faith.
