Social communication

The work deals with social communication. Its main task is to structure the subject and to apply the social communication analysis focused on youth group. In its first part, the theme is conceived in general. It defines the term and its place in sociology and other social sciences. The work characterizes a framework of social communication (communicative act, participants, communication channel). It also describes the division of communication means and their possibilities. It analyzes the content and styles of communication process, functions and purpose of social communication. It also discusses the factors that affect communication (communication context, the means used for communication, participating persons and social environment). The second part is devoted to my own case study of the social communication of youth in chosen Kolínsko region. It detects means of communication used by youth, it deals with the question whether the youth prefer the possibilities of personal communication or the usage of modern means of communication; which communication topics they use with their friends and which they use with their parents and what is the purpose of communication with different types of communicators (parents / friends). Communication Strategies of Municipalities of the Second Grade

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to suggest the appropriate communication strategy of selected municipality, in this case the municipality of Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts in the field of communication and communication strategy. The practical part consists of the analysis of the contemporary status of the communication strategy of the selected municipality. This analysis describes the municipality and analyses the ways of the municipal communication with the target groups and means of the communication used to do so. The second part of the practical part is a survey focused on the citizens´ contentment with the municipal communication. The survey is subdivided into the five component aims. Based on the analysis of the communication strategy and the survey, the complex communication strategy of the municipality Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou is formulated. It consists of a SWOT analysis, proposal of the communication strategy and its realization.

Analysis of internal communication in connection with IT, processes and management in a specific organization

This diploma thesis primarily focuses on analysis of internal communication in a particular company and proposals for improvement. To meet this objective, first the importance of the internal communication for the company and the factors that affect it are described. After that channels and tools of internal communication and the importance of IT for communication in the company were generally defined. Then the various means of communication using IT were analyzed. Another information source used in the thesis are the results of the applied research, which was conducted among employees and management of ANAFRA company and focused on identifying critical issues that ANAFRA in the context of internal communication face. The last part of the thesis combines all of the previously gathered information and proposes solutions of the identified problems. Conclusions of the thesis may serve as referential valuable source for professionals and owners of small and medium businesses.

Internal communication in an organization

This thesis deals with internal communication at the CzechInvest Investment and Business Development Agency. Its main objective is to analyze the current system of internal communication, identify its strengths and weaknesses and propose solutions for its improvement. Data for the analysis was obtained mainly from the author's own qualitative and quantitative research and the organization's internal documents. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part covers the general characteristics of internal communication (definition, stakeholders, content, goals, communication channels and means, significance); the practical part was prepared on the basis of the results of qualitative and quantitative research and brings the actual analysis of internal communication as well as specific proposals that should increase the effectiveness of the current system

Spanish v. Catalan and other minority languages used in Spain and their position in European Union: legal regime and linguistic practise.

The theme of this thesis are languages used in Spain, their position at the state level and in the European Union. The aim is to determine what is the knowledge and use of these languages among the inhabitants of the Autonomous Communities and how is the legislation that provides the status of languages in the state observed. Another aim is to describe the position of languages which Spain gained in the European Union. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is introductory and contains basic information about Spain and the characteristics of languages. The second chapter deals with the analysis of the legislation that provides language policy in each Autonomous Community. The third chapter examines the knowledge and use of languages and on the basis of these results is trying to show how language legislation influences extending of languages and how is observed. The fourth chapter describes the process how were the Spanish languages gradually pushed through at the EU level and what Spain has reached till the present time.

Means of communication of The Motol University Hospital

This diploma thesis deals with means of communication of The Motol University Hospital. The objective is to find out, which means of communication the hospital uses for communication with patients and hospital visitors and which are used for communication with its employees. Next I describe them and find out, which means of communication suit these two groups, which don't and where is the room for improvement. The questionnaire survey was used to find out the preferences of means of communication, which I realized in The Motol University Hospital. The work includes research findings and recommendations resulting from their foundations.
