Statute of limitations of a plea concerning the voidability of a will as part of inheritance proceedings
Zethner, Aleš ; Šustek, Petr (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
Statute of limitations of a plea concerning the voidability of a will as part of inheritance proceedings Abstract This thesis deals with the possible statute of limitations of a plea concerning the voidability of a will as part of inheritance proceedings or, as the case may be, identification of the conditions under which such statute of limitations is possible, since this becomes a current issue in a situation when there is an increase in the number of drawn up wills and length of inheritance proceedings. The thesis describes related legal institutions, including an analysis of related case law, and is applied to a specific case, whereas the author concludes that the statute of limitations of a plea concerning the voidability of a will as part of inheritance proceedings is possible, when the limitation period commences on the day that a disinherited descendant provably learned of the existence of a will and not the drawing up of a will or death of the testate. The author's conclusion, to a considerable extent, contradicts the very latest judgement of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic which is also analysed in the thesis. From the author's point of view, this judgement is a strongly law-making decision which is not entirely consistent with the previous decision-making of the Supreme Court of the Czech...
Soudobé technologie hliněných konstrukcí: Limity a perspektivy v Česku
Neumayerová, Eva
In recent years, earth as a building material has been rediscovered and mentioned, in particular for its energy efficiency, recyclability and lack of a negative impact on human health. In our geographical conditions, earth is used for the reconstruction of traditional earthen houses and contemporary buildings. This paper compares earthen construction technologies used in contemporary construction projects in the Czech Republic, analyzes them based on their implementation, material composition and availability and examines their limitations in order to define the most appropriate application for each technology. The possibilities for the future development of structures made of earthen building material will also be assessed.

The easements, as a tool for limiting or extending the rights to real estate, are dealt with in a general way, I will state the methods for their valuation and subsequently apply these methods to specific easements.
Analog distortion musical signals
Růžička, Matěj ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Vrba, Kamil (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis I studied the differences in sound of valve amplifiers and solidstate amplifiers, causes of those differences, mathematical modelling the transfer characteristic of valve amplifier and then modeling it with simple diode limiter, which used several types of semiconductor diodes, Properties of those diodes were measured as well. Then I constructed limiters for both polarities of input signal, which had non-linear transfer characteristics similar to the valve amplifier and I evaluated their qualities. Then I measured simple amplifier with bipolar transistor, JFET N-channel transistor and optocoupler, Furthermore, I modified triangle-to-sine converters with bipolar transistor, JFET N-channel transistor, measured and evaluated their transfer characteristics. At the end of this bachelor thesis I described designing a diode-based functional converter and converter made from several bipolar transistors, both of these had similar shape of transfer characteristics and I evaluated their qualities by comparing weighted harmonic distortion of the output signal with output signal of tube amplifier.
Time and its reflection in law
Bernklau, Petra ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
Time and its reflection in law This diploma thesis deals with the reflection of time in law. The goal is to capture how time is projected into civil law in regard to the applicable legislation. The thesis is divided into eight chapters, first four of them being general treatises, starting with the fifth chapter and continuing further, all of them are focused on specific one law institution related to time. In the first, general chapter time is defined as a legal event, the difference between time and period is discussed, mandatory principles for this legal area are mentioned, such as principle vigilantibus iura scripta sunt or the principle of honesty. In the part that focuses on specific institutions, are gradually discussed the terms limitation (weakening of a right), lapse (extinguishment of a right), prescription and determination of time. The principle of each institution is discussed first, followed by its characteristics, the difference between the specific institution and other institution and its role in the life of adressees of legal norms. The most thoroughly discussed is the term of limitation with the accent on the essence of this institution, followed by its legal construction, characteristical signs, consequences of vain expiration of the limitation of time, the group of laws that...
Limitations of actions as a legal fact

Limitation as a legal fact Legal institute of limitation has been a part of the legal system since the days of Roman law, yet it is not a legal relic, which in the modern concept of rights had their place. Limitation is a legal institute that is an integral part of modern legislation and whose meaning in law is a proven tradition of more than fifteen hundred years. This thesis divided into five chapters approaches the status of limitation among other legal facts, subjecting it to a thorough analysis, gives the view on the concept of limitation de lege lata and its evolution in our country through historic civil law codification and compares its approach with adjustments in selected European countries. The first chapter discusses general information about legal facts which are divided by traditional keys and on the basis of this division and between them rest the institute of limitation. The second chapter defines the concept of limitation, refers to its meaning, analyzes its components, tests subjects objection of forfeiture accordance with good manners, calculates the rights that are subject to limitation and states that are contrary legislature declared inviolable. This chapter also...
Morphological strategies of photoautotrophic protists under various environmental conditions.
Ševčíková, Tereza ; Kulichová, Jana (advisor) ; Pichrtová, Martina (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of morphological adaptation of photoautotrophic protists to various environmental conditions and to describe the influence of their shape and size for different life strategies. Thesis summarizes overview of the main factors affecting the natural mikroalgal community and shows their relevance for life of photoautotrophic protists. These factors include availability of nutrients, pH, temperature, penetration of light and predation. Next part focuses on different methodological approaches and attitudes, how to investigate, measure and explain morphological features.
Unjust enrichment under business law
Keltner, Miloslav ; Horáček, Vít (advisor) ; Rozehnal, Aleš (referee)
Unjust enrichment under business law The aim of this work is to analyze the unjust enrichment with its overlap to commercial law. The introduction of the text summarizes the historical development of unjust enrichment from ancient Roman law provisions, including the Austrian General Civil Code and the Civil Code from 1950 up to the history of the currently effective codex published under no. 40/1964 Coll. Campaign Finance in the U.S. : McCain-Feingold Reform
Vydra, Pavel ; Sehnálková, Jana (advisor) ; Calda, Miloš (referee)
The United States has a long history of political campaigns. The Bipartizan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, also known as McCain-Feingold, was the last attempt to regulate the campaign finance. Being enacted in order to cover the loopholes that occurred in the Federal Election Campaign Act, this act banned the "soft money", it modified the rules for the pre- electional broadcasting, and it brought special restrictions for self-financing candidates. These changes succeeded to be enacted by both chambers of Congress, were signed by the President and upheld by the Supreme Court in the McConnell v. FEC landmark decision. However, the impact of the reform didn't quite meet the expectations of its supporters.
