The present bachelor thesis comprises of two main parts - the translation from Spanish to Czech and the commentary on the translation. The source texts are selected chapters from the book 20 nuevos directores del cine español by Carlos Hereder, which are composed as biographical summaries of the directors' lives and their work. The commentary consists of the analysis of the source text, description of the selected method of translation, typology of translation problems and shifts which occurred during the translation process. The commentary begins with the profile of the target text and the source text analysis of extratextual and intratextual factors. The remaining chapters describe the translation method and discuss encountered translation problems as well as translation shifts.

The bachelor thesis comprises of two main parts - the translation and the commentary on it. In the first part, a chapter from the book The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn by the British historian Eric Ives is translated. The source text deals with the marriage of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and some of its aspects. The second part begins with the analysis of the source text based on Christiane Nord's model and the determination of the text's functions and the translation method. In the next chapters, the major translation problems are discussed along with the translation shifts that took place during the translation process.
Multiword expressions in Italian

The main topic of this thesis are the multiword expressions in the italian language. The thesis is divided into two parts - the theorical and the empirical part. The theorical part deals with the multiword expressions, the syntagmas and the idiomatic expressions. In the empirical part the connections between the constituents of the multiword expressions will be researched. Than four criteria will be on the multiword expressions applied (head inflection, insertion of the head's modifiers, pronominalisation of the head and dislocation and topicalization of the head). These transformations will be verified with the aid of corpora and questionnaires. Depending on the results of this research will be decided if the multiword expressions resemble the syntagmas or the idiomatic expressions.

This thesis consists of two main parts. The first part contains a Czech translation of the introduction and following two chapters of the book Un cheval chez soi en 10 leçons. The chapters are called Acheter son cheval and Son environnement. The second part includes a commentary of the translation, describing a translation analysis of the original text. It also deals with problems of the translation and their solutions as well as methods and shifts used during the process of translation.
Spanish of Yucatán

This work is dedicated to the study of the dialect of Spanish at Yucatan Peninsula (Mexico). The work is divided into three sections. In the first part, the basic concepts related to the subject of the work are delimited. The second part focuses on the evolution of Spanish and Amerindian languages in Mexico, as well it includes the linguistic situation at Yucatan Peninsula and characterizes the Mayan languages. As for the third part, it consists of the analysis of Spanish of Yucatan, it includes descriptions of characteristics of phonetics, morphology and lexicology. The work emphasizes the influence of Mayan language on the dialect.
The origin of American Spanish

The present thesis deals with the origin of Latin American Spanish. The first part of this work is dedicated to the historical context which shows us the situation in which was the Kingdom of Spain in the moment of the voyages of exploration. It is treated in there the exploration on the New World and the interior situation of the kingdom as well. The second part of the historical context contains as well the language policy because is needed to have on mind the official reason why Spain was colonizing America which was the Christianization of the American original people. In this battle was the main weapon the language, that's why also it was so important to regulate it with laws and orders. Next part of the present work define American Spanish as an entity which is possible to define geographically and historically, it is a linguistic system which has a common history and determine the most important and decisive period for the formation of the American Spanish as the first one which is in between 1492 - 1519. To this part belong also the opinions and theories of the most important linguists. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The first part is a translation of selected chapters from the book written by Tony Parker The Violence of Our Lives: Interviews with Life- Sentence Prisoners in America, which was published in London in 1996 by HarperCollins Publishers. The second part of this thesis is a commentary on the translation based on Christiane Nord's model of translation analysis. The commentary includes a translation analysis; it focuses according to relevance on extratextual and intratextual factors and on various translation problems that occurred in the process. The commentary describes strategies for dealing with the problems as well as the typology of translation shifts that occurs in the target text. It concludes that the text is expressive and embedded in the source culture.
Analysis of written styles of students in primary school

The thesis deals with the analysis of written expression in the seventh year of primary school. It analyze pupil's essays that reflect the skills and knowledge but also focus on ignorance across all levels of the Czech language. The thesis serves as a valuable material to study skills in writing. The seventh year on grammar school is important for the pupils, because they can tranfer to high school. In the theoretical part we describe the methodology of analysis and we also mention other thesis dealing with this topic. We will deal with the concept of language and style in general, and consequently the relation of these two components. There are mentioned the features of the essays, the criteria for their evaluation and description of individual style units. It also includes requirements for students, which are written in education plan. On the concepts of education plan are based objectives in practical part of the thesis. The end of the theoretical part is focused on the psychological development of the pupils. Most of the theoretical knowledge is evidenced in the practical part. The practical part contains analysis of individual essays of the 7th grade students in terms of composition, spelling, stylization sentences, vocabulary and stylistic compliance department.
