Clothing style in the work of Alfons Mucha

The aim of this thesis is to examine the relation between Alfons Mucha and contemporary fashion and jewellery and to try to describe the clothing style in his graphic advertisements and to find sources of his inspiration. The thesis is divided into four main sections. The first one talks about Mucha's relationship with the theatre and tries to determine his involvement in theatrical costume design. The second part concerns his graphic advertisements and aims to define different types of clothing of his allegorical women figures and to find sources of their inspiration. The goal of the third part is to characterize the phenomenon of attempts at reforming women's costume and to take a look at the relationship between Alfons Mucha and contemporary fashion. The last part deals with Mucha's jewellery designs. This work is based primarily on Alfons Mucha's graphics and surviving jewellery and costume designs and on literary sources from that period.
The Company Pandora on The Czech market in 2010-2014

Bachelor thesis The Company Pandora on The Czech market in 2010-2014 deals with the company PANDORA and its marketing strategy and communication forms, which the company applies on the Czech market. It also describes the entry of the brand on the Czech market and compares it with its directly competitive brand Trollbeads. Next section is devoted to a description and analysis of the main tools of communication mix which the brand utilized within its communications during the specified period. The last section is devoted to quantitative research that was conducted to obtain information on the status of PANDORA on the Czech market, purchase motives and loyalty of its customers. The conclusion of this thesis is a detailed description and analysis of the marketing activities of Pandora partly supported by research results.
Plants on the Minoan and Mycenaean Frescoes and Their Reflections in the 20thCentury Czech Art

The introductory chapter of my thesis is devoted to the technology of wall paintings. In order to understand the meaning and significance of plants in Minoan and Mycenaean cultures, the next chapter surveys Minoan and Mycenaean religion, which was closely connected with the domain of symbolic meaning of plants, trees and gardens. The third chapter deals with representations of plants in Minoan and Mycenaean art. Its first part gives the botanic description of plants, whose representation in visual art is expected, as to get a safe background to recognize the individual representations of plants on frescoes. Then there follow the catalogue of frescoes with floral subjects and a list of plants represented on particular frescoes. The following part summarizes the evidence of floral motifs on pottery, gems, jewellery and other Minoan and Mycenaean small objects. The last chapter brings several examples of artists using Minoan models as their inspiration in the Czech art from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Body Decoration with the Focus on Jewellery

This thesis focuses on the issue of body decoration, its meaning and function in culture and society. Main interest of this thesis is aimed on jewellery and its field of the visual state. Thesis divides main issue into following points: selection of the main functions of each kind of jewellery, material and technology, world point of view of cultures, main principles of its order, and main thematic fields. At the end of the thesis is briefly sketched changing approach to the genuine author jewellery. Thesis includes examples based on jewellery history accompanied by pictures and drawings. European tradition is stressed throughout all thesis. The thesis aims on the issue of cultural and social background and its influence on visual state of jewellery. The didactical part includes description of the possibilities in the field of pedagogical activity in the field described in the main part of paper.
Design of Company Marketing Plan

The bachelor thesis focuses on marketing plan design for the chosen company HEMATIT Košice, s.r.o., which deals with production and sale of jewellery. The current situation of the company will be identified by means of analysis of the company’s external and internal environment. Based on these analyses and their outputs, the SWOT analysis will be created at the end of the second chapter. Results of this analysis will be the main input for compiling the marketing plan. Activities of the plan should lead to improvement in advertising and in market situation of the company.

Export strategy of the Cooperative Granát Turnov

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the description of export strategy of Granát Turnov, cooperative for the art production. The thesis is devided into four chapters, in the first one the cooperative as a way of entrepreneurship is described. The following chapters deal with business of Granát Turnov, especially export activities. Marketing mix is depicted from theorethical, as well as practical site. Finally, the export strategy on the EU market is analyzed, the problem of decrease in exports is determinated and the recommendations are suggested.
Piercing hideouts

This diploma thesis addresses the practical and theoretical aspects of piercing jewellery and related accoutrements. The practical part describes the design and construction of a series of ceramic jewellery boxes for piercing jewellery. These three boxes are functional and unique jewellery in their own right. The theoretical part of this thesis examines body piercing art, piercing techniques and piercing jewellery. A visual section displays the piercing jewellery and documents the making of the jewellery boxes and their final design.
Glass Jewellery

Annotation I ame discussing a theme of glass jewellery in my Diploma Work. I am concerned with the ar of author jewellery in Czech Republic in specially chosen group of ten artists, which create glass artefacts. I used quantitative method of analysis for evaluation of theri work and combined it with my subjective impression. The results of my work are interesting gor aspect qualities of glass artefacts.
