Subject of my diploma thesis is design of new kindergarten for approximately 75 children in village Velký Týnec near Olomouc. Design is made in level of detailed design. The purpose od desing is hand in hand with the concept of preschool education - it is based on the fact that a younger age child has acquired the basics of key competences and thus has the prerequisites for his / her lifelong learning that would allow his / her easier and more reliable application in society. The architectural concept is based on a mutual dialogue between investor (supervisor) and designer (student) and takes into account the territorial, property, historical and other relationships in the given locality. Proposed building is an arched, non-duplex, two-storey building. The facades of the building are designed as ventilated, with wooden tiles, the roof is single-faced with a sloping attic. Gallery aviation technology and traditions of aviation at the airport Medlánky in Brno
Sudolský, Filip ; Hrabec, Josef (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The main subject of the diploma project was to create architecture study for new building of a Gallery for sport aircrafts and their traditions and other equipment that cooperate with this topic. The Gallery is designed in Brno´s Medlanky municipality and it is incorporated on current local sport airport. This project was preceded by studio project on the same area, which included reconstruction and development of this airport area. In this diploma project I was trying to continue with this development and establish a design which would react to my earlier design. The site has a sloped character and it separated from a dense city area. Starting point for the design was to gently touch the landscape and also trying to find certain references directly in the closest surrounding. From the views to surrounding was created the idea to preserve the horizontal lines and with a landscape and constructions demands was created the main idea to continue with the landscape over the spatial structure. The need to cover large-scale exhibit items like aircrafts and other items from this topic led to a starting point of my design. The structure is formed as a spatial truss structure and dominates the exhibition space. Building is connected by program and structure to services and other areas like conference hall, coffee, study room, work room and administration. As a one building it teems mainly from arrival at the airport area when the roofing is an organic, monolithic surface disappearing in surrounding. But gallery itself emerges from the ground and opens towards the aircraft take off and departure area where it is also direction of a main view to the surrounding. The building is also unique for its entering, such as the main entrance through narrow staircase gap in the roof. This entrance should evoke to people an aircraft landing, where while descent plane dive in to the clouds and appear underneath above a whole new landscape. Thus a person sore in to the roof surface a

Living in the suburbs
Holík, Lukáš ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to create a low-energy / passive building located on the suburbs of the city Brno and which would serve for permanent housing. The land on which the building is to be located is currently mostly green. The ratio of the green area did not change from a bird's eye view, it only moved to other height levels. The majority of the proposed area is therefore greenery, in the form of green roofs. The resulting design consists of two two-storey buildings, which are separated by a green roof of garages located below ground level. However, it is one complex building, in which there are a total of 8 independent housing units of various sizes with gardens and terraces. The southern sides of the facades of both buildings form mainly glazed areas facing the gardens of the individual housing units. At the same time, large glass areas use as much southern light as possible, as both eastern and western in the design cannot be sufficiently used. This bachelor's thesis is based on the subject of studio work from the second year.
Analysis of methods for evaluation ETICS dirtiness
Krejčík, Jakub ; Žák,, Antonín (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with problems of dirtiness of surface layers of ETICS (External thermal insulation contact system). In the theoretical part, soil damping agents and processes occurring when adhering dirt are described. The practical part then evaluates the impact of the aspects described below on their dirtyness. At the same time, it monitors the differences in staining depending on the type of material and the manufacturer. A methodology for artificial staining with controllable and repeatable conditions was developed in a special simulator, and this methodology was also verified practically. Simultaneously, individual plasters were exposed to the natural environment, for comparison of laboratory and actual conditions.
Gallery of modern architecture
Štrocholcová, Eva ; Ing. arch. Petra Žalmanová, Ph.D (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
Main task of the project was to create a proposal of Gallery of architecture which would be integrated into the residential colony in context of surrounding city structure. The plot is situated on south-west of the city part Brno-sever, in close connection with city centre, in steep slope. Currently, its function is a garden of adjacent plots. The plot is located close to the national cultural monument Villa Tugendhat, registered in The World Heritage List. Therefore, the new gallery should react to its existence. Proposal suggests locating of new object in north-eastern part of the plot for maximal usage of plot’s main potential that is a view to historical city centre. Main intention of design was a sensitive intervention to the area to keep calm atmosphere of surrounding residential colony with significant villas and to use potential and topographical advantages of the parcel. At the same time there was an effort to find a concept that would provides suitable conditions for exhibitions. The proposal tries to maximize usage of natural lighting which plays here an important role. Building seems to be a single storey object from the street. 2 floors are recessed into terrain and thanks to this overcome high difference between street and terrace in lower part of the plot. Object is divided into 3 functional units: The Gallery (exhibition area), The Studios (leasable space for architects for work and presentation of their projects) and The Theatre (space for other activities focused on architecture, such as lectures and projections). Walls and roofs of units are inclined to utilize potentials of site for the specific function and become polygonal shapes that meet the initial intention. Glassed inclined plane penetrates through the interior of gallery. It defines a spatial skylight that lets natural light from the north come to every corner of Gallery. It creates relationship between interior and exterior and connects all the functional units of the object.
