Using aids and games in the development of music reading in beginner piano lessons

The subject of this work is aids and their possible use in teaching music reading to beginner pianists. The theoretical part presents the methodology behind aids and games, the importance of music reading for the musical activities of the pupils and for the development of their musical skills. It also explains the importance of using games in piano lessons. In the second part of this work you can find the description of the aids, recommendations for activities (often games), suggestions that are based on author's experience etc. The third part describes the effect of using aids and games on a few pupils of different levels of piano skills.
Didactic games within garden pedagogy

The aim of this work was to create a set of didactic/methodological games for teaching biology, that would be appropriate to be realized on school gardens. The games were constructed for the broader cross-curricular usage within the secondary schools. The thesis consists of two parts. Firstly, the theoretical part was processed as literary research with the use of available Czech and German resources. Secondly, the practical part contains a set of games, complemented by methods for teachers. There were special aids created for every single game. Finally, four of the games were verified in practice.
Elements of logical thinking at children aged form 5 to 6 year

The master thesis deals with elements of logical thinking of children aged 5 to 6, which means the přes-school age. The main goal is to finf out the conditions under which the pre-school children are able to apply elements of logical thinking when solving exercises of the zebra type using the manipulation method. Next goal is to investigate on which of the characteristics of the task depends the success of its solution. The partial hypotheses focus on whether children aged 5 to 6 can successfully solve at least half of the assigned tasks, whether they are able to solve them individually and, last but not least, explore zebra formation after experience from the previous graduated six series. The theoretical part focus on the areas of development that the zebra solution of the pre.school child relies on: motor development, thinkig development, logical and prelogic thinking and the possibility of solving activities. The practical part contains scenarios compiled from draduated tasks that will be solved by three groups of four children. It also contains a series of tasks solved individually by children. Use of Genetic Method to Read in the first Grade of an elementary School

This thesis deals with the issue of genetic method to reading in the first grade of an elementary school. The theoretical part is focused on the child's entry to school, their school maturity and further education. Other methods to read are presented, analysed and compared with the genetic method as well. Furthermore, the methods and ways how to put the genetic method in practice are pursued in detail along with didactical games and examples of teaching procedures. The practical part looks into the experience the teachers have gained with this method, the school success of the children and the opinion the family members have.
Teaching English through drama methods

This bachelor´s thesis deals with teaching English as a foreign language at primary school. This thesis summarizes methodological approaches to teaching foreign languages, describing and comparing the predominant methods of drama education and teaching English. Furthermore the thesis describes and compares educational and dramatic games. Later, this bachelor´s thesis explores the application of specific methods of drama education (for example role playing game, pantomime and improvisation) in specific English lessons. Thus, this thesis provides examples of using specific drama methods in teaching English.
Proposal and Experimental Verification of Activation Methods in the Context of School Success

The diploma thesis is devoted to proposal of activation methods in teaching of accruals at business academies. Firstly there is a theoretical part that deals with the subject of Accounting in general, and researches and articles focusing on activation methods or students' grades. Also, there is an analysis of a textbook that is used in teaching accounting at business academies and a factual analysis and didactic curriculum of accruals. Secondly there is a practical part of the thesis consists of pre-research, which was a base of experimental verification of selected methods in teaching of accruals at a business academy.
Quizzes, Puzzles and Other Similar Games as a Tool of Motivation in Chemistry

The dissertation deals with the effectiveness of the useof motivational elements like different types of crossword puzzles, riddles, rebuses and word plays etc. in teaching chemistry atlower secondary school. First, the database of motivational problems was created. The tasks (problems) are designed for practicing the curriculum of chemistry at lower secondary school in combination with one of the following subjects - mathematics, physics, biology or geography. Partia collection of problems that combine chemistry curriculum with geography or biology are available at http://is.muni.cz/do/rect/el/estud/pedf/cidlova/index.html. The remaining two collections are attached to this dissertation. These problems were subsequently used in an one and half year research focused on the impact of their use in teaching on the relationship of pupils to chemistry and on the results of their education in chemistry at lower secondary school. The research was initiated with a total of 886 pupils of the 3rd grade of lower secondary school. At the beginnig of the second semester these pupils completed an initial questionnaire focused on their relationship to chemistry. Laboratory Work on Plant Physiology and Anatomy and its Use at Primary School

The presented master thesis is focused on practical teaching of the plant anatomy, morphology ad physiology at primary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains a summary of the basic knowledge about plant morphology anatomy and physiology including integration of the practical teaching of natural science in Framework Education Programme and its extension into the School Education Programme. This part includes also detail theoretical background of teaching methods, which are suitable for laboratory work and didactic games. The second, practical part contains a detail description of the seven author's laboratory works and seven didactic games dealing with different topics from the plant anatomy, morphology and physiology, their practical evaluation on pupils of two primary schools and one secondary school including following detailed analysis of the realized questionnaire of these didactic materials. According to the obtained research data, it is obvious that the using of practical teaching form is more attractive for the pupils than conventional teaching methods at primary school.
