Possibilities of developing intercultural skills of foreigners children in choosen classroom from the perspektive of teacher

Thesis deals with monitoring of pupil integration options - foreigners into the educational process from the perspective of teacher development of intercultural competence. The very objective of this study was to monitor the process of developing intercultural competencies, and also to track and identify factors that influence this process in the course of educational activities in elementary school. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters based on the analysis of literature related to this issue. The second chapter further defines the basic concepts of migration and intercultural education students - foreigners. The third chapter defines the concept of culture and concepts that connected with it, acculturation, cultural identity, culture shock, intercultural sensitivity, prejudices and stereotypes. The following chapter is responsible for defining the concepts of intercultural communication, bilingualism, intercultural conflict and intercultural friendship. The fifth chapter is devoted to teachers as a factor that significantly contributes to the educational process and the integration of students - foreigners. Culture of an international company

Working life of most individuals is carried on in organizations. Every organization creates its own corporate culture, that is influenced by external environment and its culture. This thesis is focused on theoretical hypothesis of this subject and their comparison with several real life experiences. It describes corporate culture and its impact on shared values, norms, symbols and artefacts. It concentrates on international companies, where members of different national cultures have to cooperate, and it considers the importance of good preparation and awareness of possible differences as factores, that enable realization of own ethnocentrism, which can subsequently reduce culture shock, caused by different approach to time, space, and especially to communication. The paper focuses on french ethnocentric companies, coming to the Czech republic after 1989 and keeping deliberately french management. Those managers, representatives of the french national culture, are confronted with the local czech culture. Diploma thesis " Approaches to children in multicultural Nursery and Primary schools. It deals with the current approaches to children in Nursery and Primary schools, both in Czech schools and foreign schools located in the Czech Republic. First this thesis tries to find some historical context and understanding of the situation that Czech and foreign schools are faced with. Further attempts to map out the involvement of multicultural education into the curricula and teaching practice in the selected schools. Primarily it creates a comparison of approaches to multicultural education in selected schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis is trying to find inspiration for working with multicultural education in Czech schools, which do not pay much attention to multicultural education. Thesis should highlight the importance of multicultural education in schools and the benefits and positive impact of integrating this education into the curriculum of schools.
Expatriation and International Management

The thesis deals with the issue of International Management procedures in multinational corporations regarding sending their employees abroad. Its aim is to describe the process of expatriation, define the importance of culture and the role of the company in the process as well as to analyse the situation of expatriates in the Czech Republic based on a questionnaire research.
Psychological Aspects of Studying Abroad

The topic of this thesis is study abroad. The theoretical part presents knowledge about the process of adaptation in a new country and its culture; then it deals with acculturative and coping strategies, culture shock and its determinants and also reverse culture shock, which takes place after arrival home form a foreign country. It also introduces the age group of participants on study abroad (21 {--} 26 years old) from the developmental psychology point of view. Then it describes the already known correlation relationships between personality characteristics and some aspects of long term stays abroad. Finally, it outlines a personality profile of the ideal person for a long term study abroad. The research part informs the reader about knowledge we have found out from 3 research questionnaires that were completed by students before, during and after the experience of study abroad, and also knowledge we have gained thanks to interviews with the students. The main research areas are the following: the personality profile, changes of chosen characteristics that have taken place due to the experience of the study abroad, motivation, expectations and their fulfillment, process of culture shock and reverse culture shock.
Tourism as an instrument of intercultural learning

The final thesis clarifies impacts of tourism on the tourist's personality in the field of intercultural learning and compares programmes of the European Union, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and companies dealing with intercultural learning through student exchanges. It also focuses on the importance of intercultural learning for professionals in tourism industry. In the introduction author defines basic terms related to this issue, further she treats of motivations to travel and then adverts on the impact of long-term travelling on the tourist's personality, so that she explains the iceberg concept of culture, culture shock and intercultural sensitivity. In the following part she compares the programmes of different institutions. The final part of the thesis appoints the importance of intercultural learning for all who work in the tourism industry on the example of French and Japanese.
