Runoff extremity in the Upper Lužnice catchment area
Musil, Jan ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Kocum, Jan (referee)
Thesis subject is the evaluation of runoff and flood regime of rivers Lužnice and Skřemelice at the closing profiles just before their confluences. The results are compared with findings from the profile Pilař, which were published in the past by other authors. More attention is paid to the evaluation of the hydrological year 2013 and in detail is described the flood in June of the same year. Daily flow data from the years 1971 - 2014 were used for evaluating of runoff conditions. The assessment of the runoff regime in terms of daily, monthly and annual flows were compared with the runoff regime in Pilař gauge station. The source regions with dominating influence on the resulting runoff were discovered. Analysis of the flood regime confirmed that spring floods in Lužnice came mainly from upland and hilly parts of catchment and large summer floods have main source area in the catchment of Lužnice river itself, before the confluence of the Lužnice river and Skřemelic river. When assessing flood in 2013, the main source areas of flood flows that hit Lužnice river basin were founded. The flood extremity was compared in each closing profiles.
The influence of temporal rainfall distribution on hydrological characteristics of rainfall-runoff events
MIKOLÁŠOVÁ, Anna
This master thesis deals with the influence of temporal distribution of precipitation on hydrological characteristics of the rainfall-runoff process. The practical part of the thesis was carried out on the drainage basin Volšovka. In the theoretical part, the origin, division, and temporal distribution of rainfall is described, as well as surface runoff and some chosen hydrological characteristics of flow-off. Moreover the work deals with hydrological simulation, there is also described in further detail the rainfall-runoff model HEC-HMS, which is furthermore used in the practical part of this thesis. In the practical part, the characteristics of the area of interest is introduced. Next is described the preparation of the rainfall data with the use of DES_RAIN programme, also creation of the digital model of the terrain in the ArcGIS programme and the preparation of hydrological model in HEC-HMS model. In the conclusion of the thesis, the flow capacities of the closure profile of Volšovka were simulated, as well as other particular closure profiles of the catchment area. There were 16 simulations carried out, which were evaluated on the basis of the peak flow capacities and the time of culmination.
Hydrological regime of the upper Lužnice river
Svoboda, Pavel ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Šobr, Miroslav (referee)
The aim of this paper is evaluation of hydrological regime of the upper part of Lužnice River basin. Upper stream of the Lužnice river represents low intensity of modification. Larger part of the river is a meandering stream with many ponds and pools in the floodplain where the safe retention of water during floods is possible. First part of this paper focus on detailed area hydrography description. The main part concentrates to hydrological regime. The methodology of this research is based on statistical evaluation of the longtime data series from the Pilař station. Flood events and dry periods are analyzed during the past 46 years. Detailed discharge measurements (realized in this area by Faculty of Science, Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology) are used for recent flood evaluations. Higher occurrence of floods and dry periods was identified in the past 10 years.
Model example calculation of the damages (property damage) on forest water feature that was due accelerated drain surface water from the catchment area
Bureš, Petr
The subject of this paper is a model example of calculating damage (property damage) water on the forest, which was part of the territory due to deforestation due to construction activities. It is a problem of designing and realization such as construction ski slopes, winter sport facilities or transport line structures.Model calculation example addresses the following design situation: As a result of deforestation has been reduced retention capacity and faster runoff surface water and groundwater from the affected area. Changing water conditions on land designated for forestry is concerned construction activity has resulted in water damage to the function of the forest, which is reflected in restraint of natural retention capacity of forest ecosystems to bind water in the landscape. Compensation is determined by calculating a model example, where the cost a manner valuation setting up the retention (defense) reservoir, whose alternative technical solution compensates the negative impact of changes in water regime in the landscape.

Analysis of factors affecting a direct runoff from the catchment area
NEUBAUEROVÁ, Andrea
This diploma thesis follows my bachelor thesis. The main purpose of the bachelor thesis was to clarify fundamental terms and to explain the sorting of particular parts of a direct flow that involves both the surface saturated flow and the hypodermic flow. This diploma thesis is focusing on the origin of direct flow in a river basin. Specifically, it deals with river sub-basin P6, P52, and P53, which are located in Kopaninský potok river basin. Furthermore, it deals with Jenín I. and II. river basins and the last analysed is Ostřice river basin (SO2). Factors influencing direct flow are researched on all river basins. It is impossible to say that the origin of direct flow is caused solely by a single factor; it is always the result of multiple factors. Among these factors belongs the atmospheric precipitation, type of soil, vegetation, climatic and anthrophogenic conditions, land use, and inclination of the area. The bachelor thesis explains the issues of multiple methods of flow separation, but this diploma thesis is primarily focused on two methods for calculation of ratio between the direct and the total flow. 1) Empirical method GROUND, which is used to separate hydrographs of medium daily river basin flow. 2) Method of digital filter by Lyne Hollick separate fast and slowcomponents from the overall concentrated flow and are based on the theory od signal analysis. Afterwards, the results of flow separation were compared to the factors influencing the origin of the direct flow. The daily total flow rates for every analysed river basin were used as the input data for calculating the flow separation.
Direct run-off - formation and separation methods
NEUBAUEROVÁ, Andrea
The bachelor´s thesis occupies with an issue of a direct flow. The main purpose is the explanation of the basic terms of the issue and the explanation of the sorting of particular parts of a direct flow, that involves a surface saturated flow and a hypodermic flow. Subsequently the thesis describes its participation in the hydrogeological cycle, which means the participation in the permanent circulation of a surface and underground water on Earth. The extreme precipitations are dangerous due to their force, total sum and intensity. The inception of hydrological occurrences like floods or dry seasons is possible owing to this. The fallen precipitations have a big influence on a surface flow and a transportation of soil particles. The thesis is focused on the inception and the genesis of a direct flow. Further it focuses on the factors that influence the flow. Among these factors belong climatic and anthrophogenic conditions, vegetation, type of soil and atmospheric precipitations. There are clarified selected methods of potential separation which are explained and described in detail. This part of the issue mentions CN curve method, GROUNG method, MPGM, analysis of dropped subdivisions and finally method of digital filter (Chapman). These methods divides the flow on an elemental flow and direct flow.
Analysis of retail opportunities and threats in Strakonice region
BAJTOVÁ, Jitka
Principal objective of my authorized work has been to make analyse of retail´s opportunities and threat in section of quick high turnover goods in Strakonice. Information, which has been obtained, base on the analyse and observation, to write to the simulation software RetailOpportunitySim, to introduce screenplay of development and base on the results from the software to propose suitable actions for chosen retail´s subject. To calibrate the software was necessary to define the market geographically and define the real structure of the settlement. Survey was carried out and observations of the retail units on my chosen market. Scenarios were defined hypotheses were confirmed or rejected by software. The scenarios were applied to the retail unit Gastro.
