Influence of a complex stretching exercise of lower limb on postural stability
Maier, Ludvík ; Žáková, Lenka (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Influence of a complex stretching exercise of lower limb on postural stability Objectives:: The main objective of this diploma these is to find out, using dynamic computerized posturography, whether the increased mobility of the lower limbs has a positive influence on postural stability. Another partial objective is to determine efficiency of the practised stretching exercises. Methods: This is a pilot study where in research participated five probands whose measurement results were evaluated qualitatively. The aged of probands at the time of the first measurement was from 13 to 18 years. All probands are male volleyball league players and during the last two years occurred to a marked grow by all of them. Given their tall stature, it was expected a decrease in the mobility of the lower limbs and muscle shortening. To the data acquisition was used clinical examination of active range of motion and shortened muscle testing according to Janda. Postural stability was measured using computerized dynamic posturography SMART EquiTest System from Neurocom. Measured data were processed using the program NeuroCom Balance Manager software. In the Framework of study were conducted two intrumental measurements in the range of two months. After the first measurement all probands were instructed how to...
Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone
Pavelková, Zuzana ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Master's thesis topic: Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone Author: Bc. Zuzana Pavelková Branch of study: TVS_B Disertation Tutor: PhDr. Petr Šifta, Ph.D. Year of Defense: 2012 Abstract: The aim of this study was to discover, whether four selected rehabillitation techniques (dry-needling application, cryotherapy, stretching and kinesiotaping) influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. It was assumed, that above mentioned methods decrease the muscle tone of selected muscles, that was increased by previous running performance or owing to acute or chronic problems with Achilles tendon. The muscle tone was measured by myotonometer in Kinesiology laboratory, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague; muscle tone of twelve students of thisfaculty was measured. Data were displayed by using an analog- digital convertor and consequently evaluated. The results of this study indicate, that four selected rehabillitation methods influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. The muscle tone was best influenced by application of dry-needling and by kinesiotaping; results of muscle tone measurement after dry-needling application and kinesiotaping confirmed above stated...
Assesmddent the importance of stretching in florball players and its impact on muscle shortening
Kubátová, Adéla ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Vláčilová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Assessing the importance of stretching among women floorball players and its impact on shortened muscles Objectives: The main goal of the diploma thesis was to determine the functional state of the muscular system and the rate of shortened muscles in a selected group of women in the age range from 18 to 34 years old in the floorball club Banes Florbal Soběslav playing the 1st woman's league. Based on the examination, a set of specific stretching exercises was created and subsequently their effect was verified. The partial goal was to find out the level of stretching before and after the training unit or match using an online questionnaire for players playing in the 1st woman's league. Methods: The diploma thesis was processed as an experimental study. The research involved 16 probands who have been actively involved in floorball for at least 5 years. The research group was equally divided into experimental and contol groups. To obtain the data, a standardized test of shortened muscles according to Janda and palpation examination of trigger points were used. Entrance and exit tests of both groups were performed at intervals of 3 months. During this period the experimental group completed an intervention program. There was no intervention in the control group. An online questionnaire sent via...
Use of streching exercises as a compensation for overloaded muscle parts in case of football players
Pavlík, Michael ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Use of streching exercices as a compensation for overloaded muscle parts in case of football players Objectives: Diagnose shortened muscle parts of the lower limbs in probands and on the basis of this diagnosis compile a compensation plan using stretching exercises to reduce muscle shortening of the examined muscle groups. Methods: Functional muscle tests according to Janda (2004) were used for the research. These tests were used to examine shortened muscle groups in football players. A five-point scoring scale used for enroll the results, according to the head of this work, Dr. Hráský. After the first initial examination, a simple stretching exercise plan was drawn up to reduce muscle contraction. After two months of application of this program, an output measurement followed, which had the task of determining the degree of functionality of this program. Results: Improving the muscular flexibility of the examined muscle parts after the application of the compensation plan, especially significantly visible in the group of probands who trained regularly under the supervision of the principal investigator throughout the research period. Keywords: stretching, compensatory exercises, functional muscle tests, football training

Stretching as a part of compensatory exercises in football U15 players
Rejka, Lukáš ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Svobodová, Irena (referee)
The main goal is to map and compare the effects of using stretching as part of compensatory exercises for U15 players over a period of three months. Partial goals will be to determine the effects of stretching exercises by testing in the FC Slavoj Vyšehrad football team. Furthermore, mapping and comparison of all individual measured tests that will be used in the research of players of the football team FC Slavoj Vyšehrad and FK Skalná. The last partial goal will be to find out which muscles are the most shortened in players and, conversely, which are the most stretched. Input and output values will be measured over a period of three months for the tested team FC Slavoj Vyšehrad U15 and the control team FK Skalná. The training process will include exercises aimed at stretching muscle areas, which are problematic for footballers. The theoretical part is focused on existing knowledge from the anatomical, physiological, psychological and social sectors, as well as on the muscular system, muscle imbalance, flexibility, compensatory exercises in general and stretching. In this part, the problems of tonic and phasic muscles, the division of compensatory exercises and stretching are discussed. The practical part is based on a natural experiment. The experiment will be the measurement of U15 football...
The influence of different kinds of warm-up on the speed skills of football players from the ontogenetic point of view
Turbák, Filip ; Jebavý, Radim (advisor) ; Bujnovský, David (referee)
Title: The influence of different kinds of warm-up on the speed skills of football players from the ontogenetic point of view. Aims: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to compare the results of the times achieved by football players in the U18 youth team with their previous times measured two years ago, and in this way to evaluate their development of speed capabilities. Another aim of the research is to evaluate the progress of these players' flexibility at a chosen time interval (two years) and to inquire into other possible connections of these outcomes. Methods: For the assessment of speed power performance, each player goes through two runs at a distance of 30 meters, with measurements in this section also at distances of 5, 10 and 15 meters. Before the measurement itself, all participants are being prepared by a selected type of stretching. Two standardized tests are used for secondary research dealing with potential connection between the attained speed and the degree of flexibility of lower limbs. Outcomes: Testing revealed that subjects had a deterioration in the average running time with a two-year interval at distances of up to 15 meters (5,10,15 meters). On the contrary, when analyzing the results of measuring the distance of 30 meters, a significant improvement in average...
