Digitální upskilling v malých a středních firmách

The diploma thesis deals with the perception of digital upskilling in small and medium-sized enterprises in the South Moravian Region. The aim is to clarify how companies and their employees perceive digital upskilling, why it is important to start dealing with it, and what opportunities and potential threats it brings. Two research studies were conducted. A quantitative survey in the form of a question-naire was conducted with employees from 12 selected companies. The survey examined their digital competence, perception of digital upskilling, preferences, motivation, advantages, and disadvantages. A qualitative study was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with executives and HR specialists. The interviews covered reflections on digitalization, perception of digital upskilling, benefits, potential threats, etc. Based on the analyses of both studies, the output is a clarification of the approach of companies and employees to this topic, as well as recommendations for implementing digital upskilling. This thesis is beneficial for small and medium-sized enterprises and their HR departments, specifically in the field of education.

The dissertation introduces the results of the current knowledge of professional li-terature in the field of managerial communication in small and medium-sized enter-prises when introducing flexible working arangement, it also maps the situation in the investigated area in the South Bohemia in 2018-2019 and provides educational mate-rials intended for training managers and HR professionals small and medium-sized enterprises that want to introduce flexible working arangements. These educational materials can be used by lecturers during workshops designed for small and middle-sized enterprises services and thus contribute to an increase in the number of jobs with flexibility, to the discovery of potential human resources not yet actively participating in the offer on the labor market, and last but not least, to the minimization of risks associated with unsystematic introduction flexible working conditions in companies.
Analysis of Manager's Approach to Leading People

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of leading people in the environment of small and medium-sized enterprises, specifically in academic start-ups and spin-offs. Using a questionnaire survey, it investigates what leadership style is most used by managers in this group of enterprises, also considering the set criteria. The pilot research shows that the most used leadership style is transformational leadership, and that there are also characteristics that when a manager possesses, his leadership is more effective. Based on these characteristics, the thesis proposes a so-called matrix of manager's characteristics.
Stress management
SOUKUPOVÁ, Nikola
Objectives: The main aim of the dissertation was to evaluate the current theoretical and newly acquired knowledge about the issue of stress management in the workplace and to propose desirable recommendations for enterprises that want to incorporate stress management into their internal processes. Methods: The theoretical definition of the issue focused on work-related stress, the most important work-related stress models, the sources and causes of stress in the workplace, and especially its influence on the business environment. It also addressed the impact of Industry 4.0 and the COVID-19 pandemic as new significant stressors. Emphasis was also placed on defining the stress management issue and implementing appropriate measures and recent trends. Primary data was obtained through quantitative research. The research was carried out at the enterprise level. The enterprises in the primary set were located in the South Bohemian Region and were part of the CZ-NACE category C (10-33): Manufacturing. The research was conducted in 194 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in 2022 by an electronic structured questionnaire. Conclusions: Based on the analysis of primary data, the current state of stress management in small and medium-sized enterprises was determined. The recommendation was made for enterprises that want to integrate it into their internal processes. Based on multivariate statistics, company profiles were created according to similarities in the field of stress management.

The objective of the dissertation thesis is to search and propose the factors affecting the development of employees including the criteria for observing the development of employees in selected small and medium-sized enterprises and developing employees there. Observing the factors affecting the development of employees is important to the managers in the process of employee development management, it is based on the impulse of developing the employees in order to meet the needs of the enterprise. The dissertation thesis characterizes the human potential, human capital and human resources including the development trends in small and medium-sized enterprises, and the development of education of employees in such enterprises. It analyses strengths and weaknesses of human resource management and the form of human potential development, e. g. the effect of the size of enterprise on the meaning of evaluation of education of employees or whether the education costs affect the economic results of selected small and medium-sized enterprises, using quantitative as well as qualitative research.

This thesis is aimed at business plan of further development of the company XY, s.r.o. The theoretical basis for the work include basic concepts related to the focusing on the main idea of the company´s development plan. The analysis section deals with the evaluation of the current problém and includes the identification of key factors in the wider context of the environment, the summary of which is then followed by a suitable strategy for the implementation of future development. In this part, analyzes of External and internal factors are used. The proposals are based on a performer SWOT analysis. This section lists appropriate measures to eliminate risks in the field.
The relationship between financial access and growth of SMEs in emerging markets

By using the cross-sectional data from the World Bank Enterprise Survey, this dissertation selects a sample of over 3000 firms from 16 Central and Eastern European countries during the 2008 financial crisis, to assess (1) How effective priori classifications are to identify financially constrained and unconstrained firms in times of economic recession (2) What the main robust determinants are at the firm and country-level that affect SMEs' degree of financing obstacles (3) What experiences and lessons we can learn from 2008 crisis to combat with 2020 and future emerging recession. Our evidence indicates that during the economic crisis happened in 2008, size, industry, ownership and EU dummy are useful priori classifications while distinguishing firms' different degree to financing troubles, although some of other priori classifications appeared on other literature are ineffective. Smaller firms, foreign-owned and firms in manufacturing are more likely to report the financing trouble and have less access to formal sources of finance. However, government-owned firms and firms with adequate educated workers are less likely to be financially constraint. High-growth firms in Czechia: geographical and sectoral specifics Abstract This theses focuses on high-growth firms in Czechia, defined as firms with a predetermined year-on-year increase in turnover between years 2012 and 2015. First part is about putting high-growth firms to the context of selected theories of regional development and it also discuss factors of the firm's growth. Further the high-growth firms are analyzed with an emphasis on spatial, sectoral and other specifics. A part focused on revealing specific factors of business growth uwing qualitative methods is also included. The analysis shows that high- growth firms in Czechia are concentrated to metropolitan areas, and whole one third of them are based in Prague. High growth firms are concentrated to the manufacturing and retail and wholesale sectors. The work has suggested that individual companies may have different growth factors and and there is no one specific strategy for a successful firm growth.
