Post-consumer packaging waste production

This bachelor´s thesis covers waste and packaging legislation of Czech and Slovak Republic. It focuses mainly on the latest changes in area of plastic packaging and on the implementation of European directives. Furthermore, it compares authorized packaging companies, that perform extended producers´ responsibilities in both countries, and explains the principles of eco modulation. The work itself is linked with project announced by Centrum of environmental research for waste management and circular economy and is supplemented by practical part, which consists of various phases: analysis of waste production at home and in the field, preparation of document materials and processing the data obtained from analysis.
Tax Optimisation Related to Real Estate Acquisitions in the Central Europe

The bachelor thesis focuses on the tax optimization of real estate acquisitions in Central Europe, specifically in the Czech, Slovak and Polish Republics, from the perspective of an individual. The theoretical part includes an overview of the tax systems of all three countries from the perspective of property tax. The practical part of the thesis presents several variants of real estate acquisitions and their subsequent taxation, as well as the impact on income tax in the Czech Republic. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the evaluation of which country is more advantageous to acquire real estate in.

It also seeks to highlight the possibilities and opportunities in the field of organic farming. It also highlights the weaknesses and strengths of the sector. It finally suggests possible further developments in organic farming.
EU response to hybrid threats: the national position of the Slovak Republic

The main purpose of this master's thesis is to illuminate the national position of the Slovak Republic on the EU response to countering hybrid threats. The national position is illustrated through 9 semi-structured interviews conducted with the Slovak national officials and experts working for the national authorities and alternatively for the non-governmental organisations within the field of hybrid threats. The national officials represent the various state departments, such as the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ministry of Defense or the Office of the Government. The respondents' professional background heterogeneity leads to a more complex national position, incorporating as many national authorities' structures as possible. At the same time, the work also provides a comprehensive overview of the EU and Slovak approach to countering hybrid threats. While the EU response is mapped out through the adaptation of political and legal frameworks, the emergence of new institutional bodies and inter-institutional cooperation, the Slovak response is demonstrated through the development of national security and defense strategies and the emergence of the departmental units focusing on hybrid threats. The division of Czechoslovakia (radio interviews with selected personalities)

The radio interview is one of the basic genres used in radio. This practical bachelor's thesis is based on two radio interviews recorded by the author of the thesis with personalities of former Czechoslovak politics who experienced the division of the country into the successor states of the Czech and Slovak Republics in important positions. The theoretical part of the thesis first describes the historical event of the division of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republics using the mentioned expert sources. Next, the author of the thesis attempts to briefly summarize the situation of the two successor countries and their mutual relations 30 years after the act of partition. An important part of the theoretical part of the thesis is the introduction of the respondents for the radio interviews, which form the practical part. And the author of the thesis also defines the concept of a radio interview on the basis of the literature, explains the differences between its different variants and describes the practical aspect of the creation of such an interview on the basis of a concrete example. This master's thesis focuses on the proposal for the expansion of a construction company carrying out earthworks with heavy construction mechanization into the Slovak market. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part contains a description of the problem, a definition of the goal of the thesis, the methods used, and the action of the processing. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of the problem. The analytical part contains a description of the current situation of the company as well as an analysis of the company environment both from the inside and the outside. The final part contains its own proposal for solutions.
Príliv priamych zahraničných investíciíc do krajín V4

Chovanec, M. Determinants of foreign direct investments to the V4 countries. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2020. The aim of this thesis is to identify the determinants of foreign direct investment to the V4 countries. The aim of the thesis is fulfilled through regression analysis of time data of selected variables in the period 1997 to 2019. The work also describes and evaluates the development of foreign direct investment inflows to individual countries. The identified indicators point to the diversity of results within the V4 countries. In the Slovak Republic, the most significant factors influencing the inflow of foreign direct investment are the factors inflation and infrastructure. For Czech Republic the main factor is infrastructure and corporate tax factor for Poland. For Hungary, no factor was found to be significant at the 1 % level of significance, but some factors are identified that affect the inflow of foreign direct investment to Hungary at 5 and 10 % of the level of significance, namely GDP per hour factor, inflation and action factor elections in a given year.
