Optimization of simulation parameters in the process of spraying a metal die

This thesis, prepared for Škoda Auto, deals with the optimization of die casting simulation parameters in software ProCast. The aim was to develop and validate a methodology for inputting die spray parameters. The optimization itself was performed on a high pressure die casting simulation for an engine block casting. The temperature field was taken from the real die using a thermographic camera and then compared with the simulation. The parameters of the simulation were adjusted according to the experimentally obtained data and literature, and the course of optimization required changing not only the parameters related to the external treatment, but also the material models, or changing the heat transfer coefficient between the die and the casting. By the procedure, the temperature field of the original simulation, which differed from reality by more than 100 °C, was optimised so that the results at the measured locations did not reach a difference of more than ± 20 °C. Therefore, the procedure used can be applied as the required methodology for optimising further simulations.
Contemporary media image of Škoda Favorit vehicle

The present thesis deals with the contemporary media image of Škoda Favorit vehicle. The study is based on the journals of that time. The theoretical part is devoted to the historical context, including economic situation and description of media functions, which changed together with political regime. Furthermore, it put us in touch with history of Škoda company, closer also with developing and selling of Škoda Favorit and with the personality of Ing. Petr Hrdlička, CSc., who was in charge of the vehicle development. The second part deals with analysis of the media articles connected to the topic. Work closer elaborates events, which are thematically important, it means the performance of the vehicle in Brno expo, the start of selling the car, the completion of car bodywork development building in Mladá Boleslav, the international performance on Amsterdam motor show, the departure of Ing. Petr Hrdlička, CSc., the joining of the car company with Volkswagen concern, the facelift of the car and the end of the production of Škoda Favorit basic type.

The thesis presents the impact on the implementation of the concept in general level and the practical part presents the impacts of Industry 4.0 in automotive level in three key businesses in automotive: Škoda Auto, TPCA, Hyundai Motor using the tools of economic analysis.
Comparison of the Country-of origin Effect on Czech Products Domestically and in Austria

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the influence of the country of origin effect on Czech products between Czech and Austrian university students. The first part includes description of existing theories in this field and also presents theoretical possibilities of brand and product origin communication. The empirical part introduces both markets, selected brands Škoda Auto and Pilsner Urquell and presents the interpretation of the data obtained from the questionnaire and its quantitative analysis. In the proposal part, the conclusions of the hypotheses constructed based on the empirical research in the first chapter are interpreted, the differences between both groups of respondents are discussed and author’s proposals are presented.
Design of Data Acquisition Equipment IMC Fastening System in the Car

Devices for measuring the dynamic load and vibration of certain parts of the bodywork or parts of other parts of the vehicle are made using accelerometers and measuring instruments IMC. It must be simply installed into the interior of the vehicle so that it is not necessary to remove any parts of the interior and to avoid damage to all parts of the interior. The preparation must also withstand the considerable dynamic load generated by the harder operation tests.
Brand building of SKODA AUTO in the specific age categories

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the communication of SKODA AUTO focused on children in the age of 3 - 18. In the theoretical part of this thesis, brand itself is defined and in the following parts, also the theoretical background for the children as consumers and what can influence them in different age stages. Moreover, communication channels for the communication with children nowadays are listed. There is also juristical background not only for the Czech Republic but also for the European union. The main task of the practical part is dedicated to the survey and also recommendations of the author for SKODA AUTO for the future.
Optimization of IT requests - ŠKODA AUTO a.s.

This bachelor thesis presents an analysis of IT requests at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. The analysis was aimed at optimizing the management of IT requests. The proposed changes to the current system will not only support business processes but also ensure the consistency of the requests. Moreover, the changes will provide very intuitive and more user-friendly interface. The thesis is divided into three thematic parts. In the he first part, the company ŠKODA AUTO a.s. and the aims of this thesis are introduced. The second part deals with an analysis of the current system of IT requests and with data collection obtained by both the analysis and a survey of the system users. This part also summarizes the imperfections and outlines the proposed changes. The last and most important part of this thesis introduces the new system. The proposal is then validated and adjusted according to the validation. This thesis hopes to offer a team of developers tips on optimizing the request system and implementing the proposed changes.

The purpose of this Bachelor's Thesis is to assess the financial health of the SKODA AUTO company between 2012 - 2016. This thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part introduces appropriate financial analysis tools that are later executed and evaluated in the practical part. The closing chapter summarizes the found information and assesses the overall financial situation of said company.

The main goal of the bachelor thesis Organizational Architecture of Multinational Companies is to elaborate the overview of organizational structures that are used by modern global companies. The thesis contains an analysis of such companies development, principles of functioning, pros and cons and the opportunities which these brings. It also contains a description of the basic concepts associated with organizational architecture such as globalization, multinational companies and organizational architecture. In the last part of my thesis I have focused on the organizational architectures characteristics of multinational company Škoda Auto. I have also paid my attention to the corporate governance system and the principles that govern this company. The conclusion of the thesis includes the generalization of the acquired knowledge and the evaluation of the organizational architecture of Škoda Auto.

Ke kritickému zkoumání trhu byly použity analýzy SLEPTE, Porterův model pěti sil a také McKinseyho model 7s, SWOT analýza a Králíčkův rychlý test. Veškeré zjištěné poznatky na tomto specifickém trhu jsou shrnuty v závěru a s ohledem na současnou situaci jsou navržena opatření pro budoucí růst společnosti.
