Drama as the Prevention against Bullying at the first grade of the primary school

The diploma thesis deals with methods and techniques of drama education, which we can use to prevent bullying at the first grade of the primary school. The theoretical part defines the concept of bullying and the definition of this concept. It also describes the forms, types and characteristic features of bullying. The theoretical part also focuses on the actors of bullying, describes the causes, development, subsequent manifestations of bullying as well as its consequences. In the theoretical part, we also deal with the area of bullying prevention at the 1st grade of elementary school. In the second half of the theoretical part, drama education at the first level of elementary school is defined, its goals and key competences that it develops at the first level. Here, the work focuses on the methods and techniques of dramatic education, which can be used to prevent bullying. The practical part contains a prepared drama lesson using the methods and techniques of drama education for pupils of the 5th year of the first stage of primary school, which is focused on the prevention of bullying in primary school. Burnout syndrome in preschool teachers

The aim of the bachelor's thesis titled Burnout syndrome among teachers in preschool education is to find out what is the incidence rate of burnout syndrome among teachers in preschool education. Another goal is to find out what forms of burnout prevention the teachers use. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and an empirical part. The main purpose of the theoretical part is to acquaint the reader with the issue of stress and burnout in connection with the profession of a teacher in preschool education. The theoretical part is divided into six main chapters that directly relate to the chosen topic. In the practical part of the work, knowledge from the theoretical part is verified by a quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire survey, and at the same time by a qualitative method, in the form of personal interviews. A total of 234 respondents, teachers from kindergartens throughout the Czech Republic took part in the research. As a part of the survey, a standardized MBI questionnaire and a self-constructed questionnaire were used. The role of collegial sharing in prevention of burnout syndrome in beginning elementary school teachers

"This master's thesis focuses on the role of collegial sharing as a prevention strategy against the development of burnout syndrome among beginning teachers in elementary schools. The aim of the thesis is to analyze how collegial sharing can contribute to protecting beginning teachers from burnout and what its benefits are in terms of professional development and psychological well-being. The thesis also focuses on identifying risk factors associated with the teaching profession and their impact on the development of burnout syndrome. Qualitative methods, specifically semi-structured interviews with beginning teachers, were used in the research section. Respondents were selected based on convenience sampling, with the respondents being beginning teachers at primary schools. The collected data were analyzed through thematic analysis, using coding and identification of key themes. The research results showed that collegial sharing plays an important role in creating a supportive environment for beginning teachers. Colleagues become important sources of support, sharing experiences, and advice. Implementation of Health and Safety Education in a Elementary School with Small Classes

The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a research part. In the theoretical part, I define concepts such as implementation, health, and health education. I focus on the area of Child and Its Body, which is included and specified in the Framework Educational Program for Preschool Education. Furthermore, I describe the concept of health education in preschools. I also cover the area of Human and Its World, specifically the field of Human and Its Health, which is included in the Framework Educational Program for Primary Education, at the first stage. I discuss small rural schools and finally, I write about safety in the school environment. The second part is focused on the analysis in the field of health education, specifically - the school educational program, the school preventive program, and the annual report of Sloup v Čechách Primary and Nursery School. Based on the conducted analysis, suggestions for improvements in the researched area will be formulated. The bachelor thesis called "Health literacy of the population in the prevention of foodborne diseases" deals with diseases caused by food contaminated with microorganisms and their prevention. The theoretical part includes characteristics, distribution of foodborne diseases, definitions and detailed description of selected diseases. The next section describes the causes of foodborne infections and their classification into three groups: poor personal hygiene, multiplication of micro-organisms and contamination. Food safety and the importance of hygiene measures, guidelines and legal standards that need to be known in order to prevent these diseases are also described. The last part of the bachelor thesis defines the duties of food service workers. The subject of research of the practical part is the health literacy of workers in closed and open mass catering establishments who are involved in the preparation of food and therefore work in activities of epidemiological importance according to the Public Health Protection Act. The survey maps their knowledge of good hygiene practices in food preparation, distribution and storage. The second part of the practical part consists of the analysis of menus from selected establishments and their analysis in the NutriServis application. The results showed that health literacy in preventing foodborne infections is good. They are aware of epidemiologically relevant activities, terms and laws related to them. Again, these respondents have a good understanding of personal and operational hygiene, compliance with food preparation rules, and institutions dealing with, for example, emerging epidemics of alimentary diseases. The second part of the bachelor thesis focused on the evaluation of the weekly menu and the analysis of potential risks of foodborne illnesses. It was concluded that undercooked meat, meat products, eggs and unwashed fruit and vegetables could be the greatest risks.
Problems of drum kit players from the perspective of physiotherapy

The bachelor's thesis is dealing with the players of the drum set, primarily musculoskeletal disorders that bothers them. Because all musculoskeletal disorders couldn't fit in this thesis, the most important ones were chosen. The most problematic part of a body was chosen with help from a questionnaire using a pain assessment. Then, all the musculoskeletal disorders related to this part of a body were analyzed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dealing with drum set, techniques of playing the drum set, kinesiology, the most common musculoskeletal disorders and their prevention. The practical part is done by form of mixed research. The quantitative element is a questionnaire to which 250 probands answered. The questionnaire was posted for three months - from August to November and on Facebook groups for drummers. The following research includes case studies of three probands selected from the questionnaire. Each proband underwent six therapies over a period of three weeks. At the same time, in these three weeks, they did the same exercise unit and were educated about ergonomics while playing. An initial examination was done during the first therapy, and an exit examination was performed during the last one. It is evident from the results of the questionnaire that the most problematic part of body from the examined group is the low back. That is why the rest of the research was focused on it. At follow-up research, there was an improvement in low back pain in all probands. It can therefore be stated that compensatory exercises, stretching and following the ergonomics of the seat and setting the drum set are important for drummers. The results of this thesis could be used as an educational material for drummers and drum teachers.
Intrusion prevention system for slow DoS attacks

This master's thesis deals with the matter of detection and prevention of flood and slow denial of service attacks. Output of this thesis is software capable of detection five attacks and five slow attack based on their signatures. At the beginning of the thesis there is an introduction to protocols used in network communication, especially these working on transport and application layer. Included in this thesis in an introduction into the matters of denial of service attacks, their description and differences between mentioned attack types. After that there is description of approaches to detection and prevention techniques to the mentioned attacks. At the end thesis is dedicated to the process of making and testing of the devised software.
Prevention of catheter infections in patients in the need of critical care

Current status: The term sepsis refers to a systemic inflammatory response to the presence of an infection. The highest mortality rate associated with bloodstream infection is linked to severe septic shock. The most commonly used invasive bloodstream inputs include peripheral and central venous catheter, arterial catheter also included are PICC and Midline catheter an alternative method of securing the venous system in intraosseous entry. The aim of this study was to describe the spectrum of nursing practices that minimize the risk of catheter infections related catheter infections and to evaluate the skills of nurses in the area of vascular access care. Methodics: Qualitative research methods using semi-structured interviews and participant observation were employed for data collection. The research was conducted in selected hospitals of the Vysočina Region and the South Bohemia Region. It was a deliberate selection. Nurses working in intensive care units (i.e. anesthesiology and resuscitation departmen and unit critical care) were approached. Covert observation was conducted to ascertain compliance with nursing standards and uncover errors in the care of invasive vascular access. The size of the research sample was determined by theoretical data saturation. Results: The survey shows that the interviewed general nurses have sufficient knowledge in the field of catheter infections to reduce their incidence. Participant observation, specifically peripheral venous cannula insertion, revealed that nurses do not check the expiration of the necessary equipment for this procedure. Furthermore, there was a lack of hygiene and epidemiological precautions and disposal of the needle from the cannula in the sharps box. There was evidence of not using a sterile table but only sterile instruments, improper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment when treating a central venous catheter. Conclusion: The outcome of this diploma thesis is a set of recommendations for non medical healthcare personnel.
Training of non-technical skills as a prevention of errors in intensive care

The main goal of this work was to map the current state of training in non-technical skills. Training in non-technical skills can contribute to improving the safe care of critically ill patients in intensive care units, where situations are often demanding, stressful, and tense. Maximum concentration, precise commands, and teamwork are necessary in these work-places. The theoretical part establishes the foundations for understanding concepts such as intensive care, non-technical skills, or simulation-based education and their relevance. The research was conducted with students in the Advanced Nursing Specialization in Intensive Care, who, thanks to simulation-based education, are aware of acquiring non-technical skills and practice them in specific simulated scenarios. The second research sample consisted of nursing staff working in intensive care units, who are exposed to stressful situations daily, and therefore should know and use the basics of non-technical skills to per-form their duties in order to prevent as many errors as possible, which can have fatal consequences. The objectives of the work focused on mapping the current situation in the training of non-technical skills in intensive care units and in student education. Another goal focused on the experiences and subjective feelings of healthcare professionals and students with training in non-technical skills in crisis situations within intensive care and during simulation-based education. The final goal aimed to identify methods and techniques of training in non-technical skills that are most effective for healthcare workers and students in intensive care, considering their specific needs and obstacles. The research was conducted using qualitative inquiry method, employing semi-structured interviews with nursing staff and students undergoing simulation-based education, along with non-participant overt observation during the mentioned simulation-based education.
The educational role of the nurse working in primary care

The thesis focuses on the educational role of the nurse working in primary care. Education is the upbringing and training of an individual, the aim of which is to change their behaviour, attitudes, actions and beliefs. Primary care is comprehensive and coordinated care. It is a set of activities that focus mainly on prevention, health promotion, but also on treatment, therapy and examination. High demands are placed on the primary care nurse in terms of the proper and smooth running of the practice, administration or performance of procedures. The first aim of this thesis was to find out how nurses working in primary care educate and motivate their patients to make lifestyle changes. The second aim was to find out in which areas the nurse most frequently educates. The practical part of the thesis is developed through qualitative research. The research population consists of twelve nurses working in practices of adult general practitioners. The data was collected using a semi-structured interview. The nurses were asked 33 questions that focused on patient education. Based on the interviews and the data collected, the results were open coded into six categories. From the results of the research, it was found that nurses working in primary care do not follow any educational process or have any educational plan, rather they draw from their own experience. It was also found that the nurses do not have enough time for the patient nor a proper educational environment in which to conduct education. According to the results, it was found that nurses most frequently educate patients on issues such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, preventive vaccinations, or elevated levels of cholesterol. The current issue, as of the month of March 2024, when the data collection was conducted, was the educational activities of nurses focused on the issue of whooping cough. Based on the findings, a material for a seminar for nurses working in practices of general practitioners was developed. The seminar focuses on the implementation of effective patient education by a nurse working in an adult general practitioner's office.
